>Tokyo will launch its first aircraft carriers since the end of World War II to accommodate a growing number of stealth fighters, long-range missiles and other equipment adding to the Japan Self-Defence Forces.
>Two helicopter carriers will be modified to become aircraft carriers
>The announcement forms part of a 10-year defence program outlined by Tokyo

>Yfw Japan has a larger fleet of carriers than China & Russia put together

How will aids-monkeys/50 cent's ever recover?

>launch first aircraft carriers
They're already active, just need refurbishment from helicarriers.

They'll only hold something like 12 F-35Bs each, so they're more like escort carriers anyway.

theyd be stupid not too. now Indonesia, Philippines, Australia need to do that shit.

>>Yfw Japan has a larger fleet of carriers than China & Russia put together
And still no nukes

Anime has done more damage to the world than nukes will ever do.

There are thousands, upon thousands of Weebs in China and Russia who would rather stay home in the comfort of their mothers basement and watch anime on a CRT monitor than go to war, even in defense of their homeland.

Yikes

Get the nukes ready.
These fuckers got to be reminded of their place.

They're gunshy, user.

We're the one's selling them the planes to use for the carriers, stupid.

>Mexico
>Willing to put effort into bettering themselves

Why the actual fuck would we ever "Remind" valuable allies of their "Place".
That may be the most retarded thing ever.
The treaty we have them under is dumb as hell to begin with from word go.

I know.
Welcome to memes my friend.
And its just so they dont get instantly steamrolled by China in the upcoming war.

Finally. Thank you Based Emperor Abe-sama.

>Indonesia
>Pinoy
They don't even have money to buy and operated a small ship yet expect them to build a carrier.
The only country that capable operating Carrier in SEA is Singapore.

>valuable allies
>all we've done in 60 years pump billions to fix their economy, and protect them from ethnic cleansing by the Chinese
>all they have given us in return is indignation, and bullshit spouting about how their culture is superior
Fuck em, glass em or let the Chinese man king 2.0 back to them

Why not all at the same time?

>Trade is one sided
>Cultural Posturing of nationalist groups from a xenophobic country overrides realpolitik.
>Letting the fucking ((Han)) have ANYTHING.
You retardation is showing.

Give them dirty bomb back packs and reawaken the kamikaze spirits. We might have to agree to dress them up as kawaii animals to get their full cooperation at this point, but that is a bonus with the right propaganda.

Probably afraid if they answer no they'll be taken out back and shot

Finns are based as usual.

Japan and South Korea have been getting increasingly stronger militaries. It's almost as if they got the message that they should provide for their own defense as the US may not always be around in the form of a massive military.
If only the EU would get the fucking hint.

The absolute state of the West

It's pretty obvious the US won't remain dominant on the world stage after the 85 IQ beaners outbreed us. I just hope that instead of going full South Africa and giving up the nukes, we turn them on ourselves and curse this land for generations.

"Helicopter destroyer" my ass!

If we become Brazil that's a legit feeling but whatever the case it's good to see Japan step up. Maybe in the future the US can cut back on being the world police.

What is this pic? It's giving me a spook.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Japanese are stupid. they know that they are only used as pawns by corrupt America against righteous China. They're carriers will only be able to carry F-35s which are not that game changing since only a small piece of sea separate China from historically Chinese clay. Chinese SAM can probably detect the planes from the moment they fly from the carrier. It would be more challenging if they just use the 'carriers' to ferry tanks into Korea.

I am reading they just ordered 45 more F-35s

theguardian.com/world/2018/dec/18/japan-beefs-up-defences-amid-concerns-over-chinas-military-might

Alright so they are locking down the surface fleet now should Japan invest in more subs to control the sea lanes (with US bros help of course)

True, but given the size of the two ex-helicarriers they can't really hold more than a squadron, maybe a squadron and a half. Fighter jets needs more "breathing room" compared to helicopters. Cram too many aircraft on the boat and accident rates skyrocket, plus wear and tear on the boat's facilities. It's why US carriers routinely run with around half their full wartime complement.

The Japanese are totally nice to us. Try not to get gibbed like a doom monster in traffic, Chink nigger.

Currently the plan is for 147 F-35s (making it the largest foreign user of F-35s, beating out the UK). They need these in order to replace their aging F-15s. About hundred of them will be F-35As, the rest will be F-35Bs.

The excess F-35Bs will apparently be used for distributed defense among all the tiny little islands Japan has.

.50 yuan has been deposited into you account.

>((Han))
Love it. I know some cool Chinese expats. Most are heartless insect people

>Australia needs to do that shit.
I feel like we need to do it even more than Japan. They're much closer to their potential enemies and a much smaller nation by area - their air bases are far more likely to be in the right position for any future conflict.
Theyre also less inclined to conduct expeditionary warfare whereas we're always off in the ME, Africa or the Pacific.
We've already got LHDs with fucking ski jumps. All we'd need to do is heat-treat the deck.

Even just a few F35Bs and one appropriately modified ship would allow us to start training pilots in the relevant skills and ensure we have some level of institutional experience should things heat up around the world.

Pinoy here. You made me lol. And cry.

Japan+US+UK+Australia all operating F-35B carriers would also be legit, since aircraft could transfer between carriers cleanly.

Funnily enough, the japs have actually mnaged to impact the world stage and caused more havoc during the last 100 years than you chinchongs have done since ancient times.

Even with the odds 10 to 1 in your favor, the eternal confucia- err communist mentality will fuck up any grand plans of conquest your limited hivemind can conceive of.

Unfortunately, since the Canberra class are amphibious assault ships, their aircraft facilities are very small (most of the internals are taken up by the dock). The listed maximum complement is 18 helicopters, which would translate in about half a squadron of F-35s post refit (since the ship's organic heli complement has to stay).

>the japs have actually mnaged to impact the world stage
Fast train transportation boomed in China and is being copied by the West and Japan
Online shopping originated in China and is being copied by America.

Japan and South Korea also have aging and dwindling populations

.50 yuan? holy shit what shill company is this?

This thread got me to watch F-35Bs take off and holy fuck it's cool. Like a modern day Top Gun intro.

youtube.com/watch?v=bcI82IonhF4

Why do you lie on the Internet?
Japan had Shinkansen back when the sparrow population was still slowly recovering.
And France had online shopping (based Minitel) back when chiggas finally realized the world didn't need MORE pig iron.

Seriously, wumao dang, stop this, it's embarrasing.

Did China even have internet when Amazon launched?

So Online Shopping is Chinese? Impressive.

Not officially, but Japan has one of the largest nuclear industries in the world. They could make a bomb in a few months if they wanted.

America doesn't have allies, it has occupied territories.

SeeJapan has a one month nuclear breakout capability.
If Russia or China surprise nukes Japan, America will obliterate them.

If the next country to use nuclear weapons is Japan I'm going to die laughing, irradiated.
>I LEARNED IT FROM WATCHING YOU, DAD!

Japan will be US's rival again?

Isn't the Juan Carlos slated to carrier 20+ fixed wing in a primary strike complement?
That's pretty reasonable for a light carrier, comparable to some (European) nations entire fleets and almost as many as the total number of 5th gen fighters currently owned by the chinks.

It is, however the Canberra class has different internal layout, with only 18 hangar slots compared to JC's 25.

By the time Japan is done refurbishing their Izumo class helicopter carriers for F-35B operation China will be done its second carrier which is already launched and performing trials which should be about 2020. So both would have 2 each with China already working on a 3rd carrier.

defenseworld.net/news/23839/China_Plans_Operating_Six_Aircraft_Carriers__Two_of_them_Nuclear

>Isn't the Juan Carlos slated to carrier 20+ fixed wing in a primary strike complement?
Not the user you replied to, but apparently Juan Carlos and Canberra differ internally. I don't know the specifics of the changes but it'd be more emphasis on amphibious operations at the expense of fixed wing aircraft handling. To be expected considering what Juan Carlos was meant to replace and what the RAN found lacking from their previous generation amphibs (kanimbla).

You can easily say that in the case of the US it's the Democrats and liberals who wouldn't fight which is why we're sitting at half. And Dems say Russians are out for the destruction of the US by helping elect Trump. Yep, they sure do want to help the side that actually wants to defend the country

The most significant capability a STOVL carrier Izumo brings is how it would enhance a JSDF F-35B shell game with the southern islands. If they just build minimal rough airstrips and infrastructure on as many islands as possible, the ability of the Izumo to help transport, rearm, refuel and repair the F-35Bs between the islands or act as a recovery backup to enable longer range strike missions will threaten the PLAN and PLAAF while minimising the exposure of the JASDFs air to air tankers to harm.

Attached: Ryukyu_Islands.jpg (482x377, 47K)

Didn't realise they'd done much adjustment internally.

Even if it required somewhat more renovation than I expected, still think fixed wing carrier capability would be a worthwhile addition to the ADF given Australias strategic situation.

Good, maybe we'll have less weebs in the future when the nips outright say how much they hate retarded Westerners in their media again

>created by mapcharts.net
>no sources, no units, just numbers
Ya alright

If by dems you mean non whites then yes. It is no coincidence that blue countries have large foreign populations and governments that don’t represent them.

>lazy Australia as usual

She'll be right, just let NCO's murder people casually at night.

If Japan ever went to war against China it would end up like WW2 for them except China is litteraly sitting next door. These people are just as suicidal as ever.

The purpose is to give Japan some credibility during escalation. The risk is that China thinks that it can seize disputed islands uncontested in a surprise attack with minimal mobilisation and that after the matter it will be fait accompli for Japan and the USA, sort of how Argentina wanted the Falklands invasion 1982 to go. If Japan has the ability to contest an invasion at short notice that should deter Beijing from taking risks.

Most Westerners hate retarded Westerners.

Makes sense, but if they really wanted a deterrent they'ld develop nukes themselves.

If I vote for being totally willing to fight for my island, as Jersey in the Channel Islands, will that mean that as mine is the sole response it pushes us to 100% and makes us technically the most militant place on this map?

>thinking these maps are reliable and extrapolating information from them
I'm sure that if you ask a sample of guys about their penis size in front of their friends, then try to extrapolate their testosterone levels you'll get accurate results.

When I was a kid my dad told me about the land clearing business he ran when he was young. He originally thought that having a big bulldozer would mean he could get a lot of work/jobs done, but he later realized that smaller bulldozers are worth more, because they can get into a lot of spaces and do a lot of jobs that a larger bulldozer can't.

Do you see what I'm saying user,?

That your father is a retard?

trips never lie

24 F-35s could solo China anyway.

It's a nation of patriots. They don't have the resources to do it though. Even militares ask for hand outs.

Based Tiananmen Square poster

Just because they aren't fighting in Mexico, doesn't mean they aren't fighting for Mexico.

Japan will always be in SHTF situations.

Russian might not have real Navy fleet, but their Air Force and logistics will always be ready to eliminate opposition that's the Japanese.

China however will swarm the Japs like hornets their military might still topples most of Japaneses assets thanks to it's fluent economy (whether it's defense budget or war effort).

So does China thanks to the one child policy

Fight For and Fight to Protect can make a huge difference in those numbers.

Europe no longer exists so those numbers are sheet

This picture spooks me more than the other.

Nukes are politically impossible for Japan, if even a STOVL carrier is controversial. Besides, China has refrained from developing a strategic nuclear capability comparable to the USA or Russia or even a significant tactical nuclear capability. If Japan were to start a nuclear arms race with China the end result would be a China with a lot more nuclear weapons both tactical and strategic. Japan's current situation where it has both an indigenous nuclear breakout capability and close relationship with the USA, who could theoretically provide nuclear weapons compatible with their F-35s under something similar to the NATO nuclear sharing agreement is probably the best situation. Focusing their limited budget on conventional deterrence is the best thing Japan can do.

If Japan ever went to war against China it would be as part of an American led coalition.
>US
>Japan
>Australia
>Indonesia
>Vietnam
>India
We have enough allies lined up to shatter China's maritime supply route to the middle east and thus oil. At that point it's a matter of kicking in slanted chink teeth until their strategic oil reserve runs dry and they surrender or collapse. China doesn't even have 10% of our nukes so MAD doesn't exist.

China can just force their people to give birth to more.

Japan and Korea cannot.

Face it, slaves of the Mutt. You cannot win against a dictatorship that can just WILL things into existence.

Now tell me how many of these nations want to pay the price in blood for joining your war on China.

China migth not be able to genocide the US, but if China falls, we are going to take all of Asia down with us to hell. Japan is literally a One-Bomb glasscannon. Just ten megaton nukes on Tokyo and Osaka will literally wipe out 90% of their population.

>Indonesia
>Vietnam
>India
Doubt.jpg
Those countries dislike of China does not rise to joining an official coalition with the US. Yet.

Oh yea great fucking plan. Use China's very limited (comparatively) nuclear arsenal on a major US ally with a treating stating that a nuclear strike on Japan gets a full US nuclear response. China will have wasted its limited nuclear weapons leaving less to strike the US.

They either pay in blood or they live under China's thumb if the US is forced to retreat from the Pacific. Their choice.

If China decides to glass the Japanese population, what do you think the US will be required to do?

That's literally how it goes. Someone joins your gangrape against us, we will end them even if we die by it.

We have a rule: Even if we die, Japan shall never survive us to take advantage of our death.

We dont care if a billion of us die if we can take the Japs down to hell. You are free to nuke us if you so wish.

Just spread some diatomaceous earth around Japan to keep the chinks out. Done.

You're welcome to point out exactly where it says in the PLA nuclear doctrine that someone joining a US coalition calls for a nuclear strike.

And don't say they'll change it, because if they do and make preparations for a nuclear strike - what do you think the US will do if it perceives that someone is about to glass an ally that will also harm US forces and citizens?

So are these actual carriers they're launching, or just retrofitted DDHs?

These chink-posters live in their own little delusional bubbles, mate.
Don't waste your time with them.

>your gangrape against us
Well at least you admit you have no chance. Nice to see 100s of threads of calling you an idiot is finally waking you up.

You fucking monkey, our vassals are rearming because you idiots wanted them to. Don't bitch about declining influence when it's the centerpiece of your foreign policy.

If someone asks you if you'll fight for Russia or China in those countries, you'll say even if you really don't mean it.
