I don't give a fuck about your faggot question but the thumbnail got me thinking about a claymore loaded with dildos in stead of shot. I think that's more important.

IDK im about to fly with my guns for the first time (moving) and im nervous AF

they can search it no matter what. It's just that in the first bit, you get to use real locks and not TSA locks, so a TSA employee or somebody with a set of TSA keys can't steal your shit outside of the screening area. The screening area is videotaped so they can't steal shit there without getting caught.

Flying with guns is pretty straightforward you just make sure your ammo is in the box, and not a magazine and that the gun is unloaded. You tell the person at the counter that you need to declare a firearm. You sign a piece of paper declaring that it's unloaded, put it in the case, and then they have you stand to the side for like 10 minutes while your bag gets scanned first.

Then afterwards you go on like normal. When you get to your final destination, your bag doesn't go on the luggage cart, and instead it goes to lost luggage where you have to show ID to pick it up, which means it's that much harder to get your shit stolen. It's good.

don't be, just follow the airline rules and there's no headache.

You ever been given grief by a dumbfuck airline employee or TSA agent about your guns?

what about a bag for the AMMO
Like if i have my bullet in a ziplock and not a box are they gonna be pissy
>inb4 just buy new ammo
im trying to find out if i have to lol

I've done it a couple of times and no they were always courteous, professional, and helpful.

Ammo has to be in a case. You can’t just cram a bag of .380 in with your pistol.

yes, they will be pissy. It cannot be loose, it has to be packed in a container which keeps it from shifting around. You don't have to buy ammo, just buy an ammo case like what reloaders use.

never been given grief. The only people who get grief are the people who put a stripped AR receiver in their bag so they can use actual locks, and having to explain that the stripped receiver is in fact a gun. If you don't do cute things like that, you're fine.

>bag of ammo

In my experience they didn't give one shit about the ammo except it couldn't be in the same locked case as the gun. They just told me to put it in my check bag. They certainly didn't look to see if it was in an ammo box or not.

fuck
t.handloader that keeps all his rounds in bags
also it says online i can take more than one gun would they shit on me for having too many in one case ie. one hunting rifle one flintlock a 1911 and a colt SAA in a two rifle case

He's the guy buying sketchy gun show reloads for more than factory ammo costs.

that's uhhh... a violation of Federal law. Ammo has to be in a locked case and can be in the same case as the firearm. Unless you were flying out of a cuck state which mandates separate locked cases in order for it to not be considered "loaded"

some airlines will let you keep ammo in mags but its always a good idea to use a box with a plastic insert

it depends on the airline. Another alternative is shipping the firearms to yourself in care of another person. This is legal under Federal law, just as long as the person you're shipping it to doesn't open the box.

American, United and Delta don't allow it. Also my carry gun is a snubnose anyway...

>wait so i cant have the ammo in the gun case
i wanna make a joke about the laws being so confusing that you cant actually follow them, but its not funny because that was the actual intention

I can't tell what the image is trying to compare. The locks are in different positions but what does this mean?

Cased weapon inside locked container... with no lock?

Not in the state im going to
>CA

>tfw flying for Christmas with antigun family
>tfw want to take CC piece but they would flip out
Sucks desu.

>bringing good tidings to people who want to take rights away
i wouldn't go

okay so since you're flying to CA you have to keep your weapons and ammo in separate locked containers, or else you illegally are carrying a loaded concealed handgun. And the ammo cannot be loose, it has to be packed in a container that keeps the rounds from shifting around.

>worrying about people seeing a CC piece
Do you know what the word concealed means?

Alaska is the best one to fly with anyway

Im flying out to NYC in a bit. I have a milled lower i intend on bringing so I can put all my shit in my pelican case. I expect no issues getting into NYC, but leaving on the other hand...

I heard of horror stories of law abiding patrons being imprisoned for declairing their legal firearms when departing, but what if it was simply a striped lower?

>seperate locked case
>how many fucking cases am I supposed to own here?
I literally wouldn't piss on any cop or law enforcement person head of they were on fire.
I'm not a violent person but at this point i would not step up to defend any police officer or TSA, NSA, CIA, FBI, or any other entity of any government. they have shown a complete disregard for my feelings as a human being, my safety, and my liberty and at this point, I cannot see them as deserving of respect or loyalty

TSA is going to be examining it, so if you don't want to get the cops called on you, play their stupid game.

Or drive into CA.

stripped lowers are AWs per NY law, and you can't bring a firearm into NYC period unless you have permission from NYPD or are a cop carrying per LEOSA.

deviating.net/firearms/packing/
More info for those of you that would like to know the great things that come with being able to tell agents and airport workers (after the initial procedure of looking at your stuff over) to get bent and being able to put massive nearly impossible to cut locks on deviating.net/firearms/packing/cut.html

oh im playing the game rn but how long until the Dindus go full WEWAZKANGZ and the cops are actually dependent on the support of the middle class again, ahh thems gonna be some good days can't wait to see the piggies get lynched in the street
serves them right for cooperating with the jews

Huh well I was flying out of Iowa and that's what the lady told me, she said I can't keep the ammo in the same case as the gun, then told me it was fine to put the ammo in my check bag, which was just a backpack with no lock or anything

>tfw taking bus for christmas to antigun family in a state that doesn't honor my state's CC permit
>tfw have to unload and lock my CC piece in a bus bathroom before I hit the illinois border
not to mention getting to the Chicago Greyhound bus station after dark

Does the bus check for guns too? If not, man, carry that shit. Don't let some nigger kill you for following laws that put you at a disadvantage.

Nah, the dildos melt and then fragment, you're basically just making a claymore with silicone bits.

same problem with strapping a can of surstromming into a claymore, you're basically just making a shittier claymore.

To create a dildo-bomb you need to basically wrap them in some sort of coating that will deflagrate during the exposion but won't heat up or melt the dildos.

nah but i'm not keen to get fucked by chicago laws while i walk 30 ft past the shitheap to my ride home
my friend got his FOID but i can't even bring my cool funs to shoot with him at the range cus of the fucky laws :(

About to do some flying and taking a gun with me. Let me see if I got this right.

>gun in hard plastic case
>ammo in boxes inside the same case as the gun
>padlock on case
>tell the people at baggage that it's a gun
>holsters and shit can go in regular baggage no problem

Am I missing something?

Make sure they don't tag it as a special item. Its against TSA regulation (but the TSA is retarded and ran by uneducated niggers so they'll violate their own policy) NOT to mark weapons in any special way, because it makes them targets for theft.
You can ask to be present if they want to open your case, however, many airports are not made with this in mind so the inspection room is somewhere behind several doors in a back area that regular people aren't supposed to go, so its iffy depending on the airport from what I've heard.

Bring spare locks just in case TSA retards bolt cutter yours. Even worse, I saw a case (posted on TFB) that included the TSA re-locking the case with a new and different TSA lock, the guy just got lucky because he carries around the leaked TSA masterkey.

>muh feelins, muh rights
Stfu fag. No body cares about you

Lol wut a fag. You’re also a fucking retard if you think cops need support from”the middle class”, whatever that means.

Follow the law and shut up. Or book a private flight/buy a timeshare. Nobody gives a shit about poor people like you.

>TSA will just replace your lock with a lock you don't have the key for

Nice

m.youtube.com/watch?v=KfqtYfaILHw

Chill, user.

this is a fucking stupid plan. deep conceal a pocket gun. concealed means concealed. don't unholster or unload or otherwise fuck with it until you get home at the end of your trip. no one but you will know.

extremely illegal. Now the airline can mandate separate locked cases, but ammo has to be in a locked case, per FAA regulations

more or less. One tip: don't say "I have a gun" to the check in person.

Don't check in with the kiosk, go straight to the baggage people to check in. Inform them "I need to declare that I'm traveling with a firearm" the word "declare" prefaced before "firearm" immediately prevents any and all panic.

Even better would be "I need to declare an unloaded firearm."

How the fuck am I gonna declare that I have a firearm without them knowing when I'm on the same flight as 2 of them?

check in separately lol

Agree on all points except the luggage pickup - it may depend on the airport. I've flown with a handgun twice, both times the luggage appeared on the carousel like normal and there was no ID or anything else required to pick it up.

OP, When you check your luggage, make sure you follow all TSA and airline rules on packing the gun and declare it to the airline agent at the counter. When I flew out of one of the NY airports, had to wait for the airport police to show up and inspect my gun and my NYS handgun license which is apparently the protocol.

I thought TSA wasn't supposed to open firearm cases at all.

it depends on the airline. Delta, American and United all take it to lost luggage.

I saw a video by someone who had a lot of delicate and valuable computer parts he wanted to carry, and so to prevent them getting stolen or damaged, he carried a firearm in every trip he could so that he could get a better lock.

they can, but you have to be present when they open it.

>you should forget about your family if they disagree with you

pretty damn petty

It's been a thing with people that frequently travel with expensive camera or video equipment to put a flare gun in with their gear and declare a firearm. Because the airline sure as hell doesn't want to lose a piece of luggage with a gun.

Airline employee here. Gun owners are usually the least troublesome customer, right next to the regular flier, although I like gun owners more because they just want to fly under the radar and don't talk to you as a friend like regular flies seem to think they are.

Now if you want to be a annoying piece of shit, show up with no ID or papers, heavy as fuck bags, a ton of questions, no sense of direction, check in close to cut off time, get lost after the counter sends you off to security, ignore all the facility wide announcements we make looking for you, and then finally show up ten seconds after we close the boarding door and act like its our fault you're retarded with a fucking coffee in your hand for a redeye flight. After that get really pissy at the cute girls that always work the gate and throw a complete shitfit until airport police escorts you away. Don't think they won't taze you, they're all bored old cops near retirement who watch fucking retards funnel through lines and into tubes all day, they want some action.

>unload weapon slide locked back
>empty mags
>ammo in box
>put all in a secure case like a pelican
>put 2 good locks on it, keep the key on your person
>check in at the full service line at the airport
>"I would like to claim a firearm"
>fill out card
>they tape it to the case
>put case into your luggage or separate if youd like
>have a seat and wait 10-15 min in case they want to look in it and call you back or follow security to special baggage area(depends on airport size)
>luggage gets run through special scanner
>walk with security and they place your luggage on the conveyor
>have a nice flight
That's all there is to it

Are you that obvious about your gun? Just don't carry, it's not like the liberal gestapo stops every vehicle entering the state to search for guns.

If blacks and mexicans can smuggle thousands of tons of illegal drugs every day across America, you can hide an lcp in your prison pocket.

The only conceivable reason I would fly in a modern airliner is if I had to cross an ocean in a hurry. fuck that shit, I'll either drive a car or ride a boat.

Attached: bear and boat.jpg (960x620, 144K)

>they tape it to the case
Do not allow them to do this.
>No common or contract carrier shall require or cause any label, tag, or other written notice to be placed on the outside of any package, luggage, or other container that such package, luggage, or other container contains a firearm.
18 U.S. Code § 922 (e)

Silicone doesn't really melt user. It burns at high temps though.

they tape it to the case if it's inside other luggage. If you have a long gun case they put it in the case.

Can confirm. The note goes over the gun container inside the luggage, I suppose it will tell whoever opens the luggage after seeing a gun on an x-ray machine that it is legally checked. It may even show up in the x-ray, I don't know.

ship it with insurance.

Dont bring ANY guns to NYC. They will arrest you.

It doesn't need to be locked in a case. It can be in your checked luggage. I've done it for years.

then every airline you've gone with is breaking the law. Ammunition must be locked.

If you declare a firearm at a NYC area airport and don't have a license for said firearm you will get arrested on weapons charges. Only plausible defense being that what you have is a long gun and is otherwise legal to possess in NY state and you were staying outside of the city area and came to the airport without deviation and with the weapon properly checked. Then maybe you can get away with it. I wouldn't risk it though.
LGA and JFK are inside the NYC area which requires a license to possess ANY firearm including black powder. Not to mention like the other user said, a stripped lower may be considered an assault weapon under NY law which is a crime in itself.

wtf do you mean a "license"

NY city area has its own set of firearm laws which are more stringent than the already draconian NY state laws. Namely, both handguns and long guns require owner licensing and registration for lawful possession. In other words, any firearm is de facto illegal, unless it is registered with NYPD and the owner holds a valid long gun or handgun license. Additionally, as if that isn't strict enough, it is illegal to possess ammunition unless you have a valid license to possess a firearm in that caliber. NY nuked when?

thats fucking awful. how do they get away with it?

Get away with what? Majority NYC residents think the current laws don't go far enough and are in favor of more gun control.

Wrong.

tsa.gov/travel/transporting-firearms-and-ammunition

new yorkers are fucking stupid.

When I travel in my own plane I keep an AR in a strut mounted scabbard unless I’m overflying a ban state, then I swap it for a lever gun.

Attached: C71F8CA3-C6B5-4325-B710-9FF16A43F207.jpg (600x450, 29K)

does it not fit in the plane?

It can be made to fit, but it’s pretty awkward.

I would if I could but the timeframe is too tight.

I'd rather take a train desu. Often cheaper, little to no security, very comfy especially when you're in a sleeper car. Only downside is that it's not particularly fast, but that's probably an upside to you

Based pilot/adventurer user.

Cute!

Attached: 1540416709636.png (400x473, 225K)

>Only downside is that it takes fucking forever and is probably one of the most costly ways to travel
I can fly miami to new york for $50 and 3 hours or spend $180 and 27 hours. even a bus is like $70

That's awesome.

They can but you're supposed to be there for it. I don't think they deal with this sort of thing often and will violate their regulations because of it.

>$50 from NYC to Miami
Bullshit. And even if that's true, I bet you aren't getting any luggage on that plane.

That's cringe.

On what grounds, you faggot

>if you're cold, they're cold. let them in.

>lies, you can't buy a ticket 3 weeks out for one of the dozens of direct flights between two of the east coast's largest airports!
If I wanted to go to a gunless shithole like new york by train it'd be like $200 each way.

My uncle has a picture from 2002, basically a proto-selfie with a Polaroid, of him and his hunting buddies in his Beech Bonanza. It’s in flight and they all have lit cigars and one is holding a Browning Hi Power and the other a Bowie knife. It was meant to call attention to the fact that basically none of the TSA/air security laws apply to light planes.

nice

>Flying
>Ever
Hell no. I don't care how far it is or how much it costs, I drive. TSA are a bunch of cocks and I do NOT trust them.
>Flying with guns
Double whammy double no

Just admit your poor and have never left your state.

Oh boi you going to jail.

Gun: must be unloaded. Triple check this before you leave to the airport.
Magazines: must be unloaded.
Ammunition: no more than 11 pounds (I think). must be in a container designed for carrying ammunition. That can be the box it came in, if it fits in with your gun case. If not, get a locking ammo can.
Gun case: if you are stuffing it in your luggage, lock it with the biggest lock your case can handle. This is NOT a TSA lock, as you are the only person who will have access to it, per federal law. If an employee tells you otherwise, firmly but politely remind them that flying with an unsecured firearm is a felony, and a TSA lock does not fit the requirements for secure. Your actual luggage can be locked with a TSA lock.
I have no experience flying with a rifle case.
Declaring you have a firearm is done at the counter, don't make a big deal about it. If they ask you to open the case, remind them you are in an airport and that's a federal offense to brandish or show a weapon openly.
When they try to take your luggage down the regular conveyor belt, stop them and request to be present while TSA searches your bag. (This is where guns disappear). If you have time when you land, request to pick up your luggage from the baggage stand, not on the carousel. It takes longer, but no asshat can take your bag.
I have had nothing but good luck with Southwest, and nothing but bad experiences with Delta.

Would stuffing two handguns and an AR pistol lower into one locked hardcase be okay?

Flew with two rifles, handguns, and night vision, it all showed up at the regular carousel. Good job airport workers. That being said the whole process was pretty easy.

I would've raised hell. Imagine some nog coming up on your gear off a carousel.

Just get a 20 dollar sporting goods ammo case. Or even better. A 15 dollar reloading case.
