Today I learned you shouldn't draw the bolt back on an FN49 if the hammer is already cocked. The guide rod/pin only does so much. The hammer actually functions to keep the spring aligned. Where are my damn needlenoses...

Okie dokie.

How about two rare funs?

I guess my 1910 Mexican Mauser is somewhat rare, and AG m/42bs aren't all that common.

10/10 tastes, user

I need rarer gats, but I'm too poor for obscure guns.

Argentine 1909 Engineers Carbine. They made 10,000 of them.

Attached: 1909p2.jpg (4160x657, 970K)

Nice
What is that? Some sort of mannlicher?

I have three of them.

I think the Mexican ones are pretty rare, it's just that no one cares about them, that's why they are affordable.

Attached: AUS - M95.jpg (3006x433, 876K)

No, it's a lever nugget. This is my rare Mannlicher.

Attached: 20170529_143622.jpg (2048x425, 580K)

True, a lot of people don't give much of a shit about Central/South American milsurp besides FN-49s.

I'd love to have them for the crests, but I'm trying to stay somewhat focused on my two main axes (WW2 and 'Murrica) and so I only have Brazilians.

Attached: BRA - M34.jpg (2560x1440, 1.02M)

I originally wanted to collect Carcanos after I got my M91 Cavalry Carbine but decided I want to collect Latin American and Iberian guns since they all have bitchin' crests. Looking to get a Venezuelan or HueBR rifle next.

Apparently there's only 1000ish of these Lebanese Berthier .22 Training rifles.

Attached: 22lr Berthier.jpg (3264x3264, 2.42M)

I'm considering selling this one, since I don't need two of them.

>Gee user, why does your mom let you have two Brazilians?

Most trainers are actually pretty rare.

>guy has a few fuzzy photos of gun
>message him asking for more pics, status of the gun's bore, etc
>"I don't have the time to take more pictures. If those aren't good enough, find another gun to bid on."
Well OK then.

I wonder if the Canadian Rangers are going to surplus their Lee-Enfields...

>I'm considering selling this one, since I don't need two of them.
Sure you do! That said if you're in the discord just post it if you want to sell it, I'd be more than interested in buying a 1908 HueBR if you do ultimately decide to sell it.

I do...but I also have 63 guns. I'm literally tripping over them, my AR drew it's first blood from my toe.

>I do...but I also have 63 guns. I'm literally tripping over them, my AR drew it's first blood from my toe.
>63 guns
Christ, I'm at 21 and they barely fit in my gun closet.

Attached: 1515985247781.jpg (640x714, 45K)

I meant the first rifle you posted, the long one.

I have 2 cabinets and it's less than half my collection. The biggest problem is that the cabinets are not made for straight bolt handles.

I want to convert the loft near my room into an armory, but that would require moving a TON of shit out.

Attached: NET - 1895 #3 Modified Carbine.jpg (4032x2268, 2.3M)

Just got a second 35 gun safe, the straight bolt handles makes it more like a 25.

It's got them waffle stamps all over it, that there is a nazi gun. I won't take less then 1500 whipper snapper.

Noice. How unobtanium is ammo for the Lebel?

We're in the final stretch user. Everything is inlet. just need to get the fiddly bits back in

I don't have the ability to go with an actual safe. I wish that there was an cabinet or safe option built for milsurp...

Get a bigger closet.
Oh. Sort of. It's a Verguiero, which is essentially a simplified Mannlicher. It's seasonal from PPU, which means it probably won't be back in stock until May. But they bring a lot over and it's not that hard to load for.

Attached: 20180427_111235.jpg (4032x1092, 2.91M)

My russian sks is one bloodthirsty bitch. Bought it in a sadly bubba'd state, and it wouldn't stop taking chunks out of me until I got a proper stock set and receiver cover. Still one of my favorite guns though, and the only one that seems to have a personality.

Russian SKS?

I'm using the largest closet in the house.

Here's my rare spanish M43. She cute

Any idea what the year of production is on this chink 54r? 1971, 67, 68?

Attached: IMG_0411.jpg (640x480, 95K)

does this help at all

Attached: 76254r.jpg (800x600, 80K)

Why does everywhere say to take off the forend of a smle before the butt? i don't see anything inside that could interfere. its just a stockbolt screwing directly into the socket?

The end of the stock bolt is squared-off and goes through the receiver socket into a square recess in the aft end of the forearm. This keeps the bolt from turning and working itself loose.

That's one dope looking Mauser rifle. I sometimes wonder if colony countries like Australia would've adopted it if they weren't forced by Britain to adopt their shit.

Looks like the powder was made in 67 and the cartridges were assembled in 68

What to look for when buying a hand nugget?

Attached: Nagant_Revolver.jpg (2270x1473, 571K)

Well fuck. I've let my K31 bayonet in unissued condition get rust on the grip.

>get rust on the grip.
Huh; my M18 is actually chrome-plated on the guard and pommel. It can't actually fit on my K31 because the chrome in the grooved for the bayonet lug is too thick.

Attached: K11_K31_08-07-2017_P99_P18_bayonets.jpg (1280x960, 1.15M)

Yeah my pommel is chrome-plated but it's still managed to get surface rust over two or three square inches

Antique girl coming through.
How many of those are surp? I'm at 23 and 20 of those are surp.

Can anyone tell me about this Gew 88? Particularly looking to find the unit info. I know almost all of the markings except which unit it was issued to.

Anyone know any good resources for Swedish mausers?
I found a few on armslist, but I cant make heads or tails of what I should be on the look out for.

If they do, something tells me that Sweaty Ben will end up with them. They'll be $1200.00 because they're "thu last evaarrr!"

Envious of that longboi.

Because you'll bust the back of the foreend if you took of the buttstock first.

You also should never take off the foreend by grabbing the muzzle and pulling down either. You have to push the stock away parallel from the action otherwise you'll damage the stock.

Or better yet, just don't take the stock off unless it's absolutely necessary. This is how I feel about every rifle.

How much should I pay for a US Property marked Mossberg M-44? I need a good .22, and thought something to scratch my milsurp autism would be just the ticket.

I paid $220, but then I had to get a mag, and they aren't cheap.

Yugo factory code for the factory in Kragujevac now known as "Crvena Zastava".

is mine broken then? it doesn't have anything extending past the socket. its just a stockbolt going into the threaded hole in the back like any shotgun would have

I wish I had one of those so badly,
>t. spic

I can't find a milsurp rifle for less than 200

Depends on your interests.

Did you want a former Imperial one?
Wartime?
In between?
Arsenal rebuilt okay?

Kinda regretting selling this one, even if it did feel like I was shooting a tuning fork

Attached: side.jpg (3609x925, 1.08M)

And I just bought one. Been looking for a decent one at a fair price for a while. .303 was on sale too- fucking kismet!

Attached: IMG_0413.jpg (640x480, 128K)

Thanks. Is there a Chinese version of this pic?

Attached: ammo can russian translated.jpg (1000x438, 48K)

I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

I stripped down my new M96 and found this bit on the underside of the barrel.

It looks like a lot of wear for one particular spot, and the rest of the rifle looks very good, the barrel still rated in condition 1. Anyone know what this could be about? I see no rejection marks anywhere and the rifle is all matching.

Attached: m96 barrel.png (1417x791, 1.72M)

Nice crest. What exactly is it?

Attached: B8B21279-D7F4-4841-A8D9-8A9BEAE173DB.jpg (2048x1537, 1.67M)

its either a rusty spot that was polished out, or someone spilled something that ate the bluing and pitted it a bit
nothing to worry about really, still looks fine and the handguard covers it

The crest of the Falangists. The Spanish civil war is pretty interesting, read up about it one day.

It's the crest of the spanish civil guard

Is there any evidence of MAS 36s being converted to 7.62 NATO/.308 for the French Foreign Legion/similar forces or was that strictly a CAI conversion for the import market?

All numbers matching nugget I got recently
Not much, but i think it's neat

Can any anons help me identify the crown on my G98 buttstock? It looks like a crown over an X but I don't know what it denotes.

Attached: file.png (208x386, 142K)

Attached: IMG_0488.jpg (1269x1063, 386K)

These are cool, I want one, I'm jelly, I only have my pleb SKS

With that out of the way holy hell they are fucking hideous

You doin' just fine b

It was Century's fuckery.

Same rifle (Gewehr), I also found this on the barrel under the stock. Anyone know what the "B.I." and the little "E" mean? All that comes to mind is "Barrel Inspected" and a factory code.

Attached: file.png (1300x667, 1.47M)

Just want a good example.

dumb ass you are bending your cleaning rod

is 450 a good price for a k31?

Is there an appreciable difference in accuracy between 7.92x57 and 6.5x55 or is it really down to the rifle and shooter? I assume that M48s and Swede rifles would be on par with each other in terms on production quality and accuracy, with WW2 era Swedish Mausers being perhaps the better shooter?
I've heard that both shoot very flat out to 200 yards, but 7.92 tends to be flatter.
