I'm starting to doubt a lot of claims of the Soviets when it comes to their equipment

For instance Kontakt-5 (and its more modern replacements) is suppose to defeat APFSDS rounds. But looking at the developement of Soviet Technology I think their own APFSDS rounds weren't capable of going through ERA plates to begin with. I mean at the Time Kontakt-5 was being worked on they also worked on Tandem Missiles launched from Tank barrels for the sole purpose of defeating ERA, which means the APFSDS rounds they gave to their tankers had a hard time going through ERA plates. However in the West they never bothered with that because all testing showed that their APFSDS rounds sliced through ERA with no problems.

Just now?

Yeah, the F-15 still reigns supreme.

ROFL, American infantry hasn't been the best, ever.

Those gun-launched missiles were meant against helicopters and very distant targets.
The Russians emphasised HEAT shells for AT work anyway, the less versatile APFSDS was less important most of the time.

Western tank tech was bothered enough by Russian (heavy) ERA that completely new APFSDS concepts, lots of tandem shaped charges and a 120 mm L/55 gun were developed.

You sound like you have very superficial info on tanks. I recommend Ogorkiewicz' "Technology of Tanks" as starter literature, and Rolf Hilmes' "Kampfpanzer" if you can read German.

>Yeah, the F-15 still reigns supreme.

Civilian air traffic controllers in Europe have confirmed that the F-22 isn't stealthy at all.
Such reports mean nothing. LO and VLO aircraft use luneburg lenses in peacetime to increase their RCS.

I beg your pardon?

Ironic enough it was a development of that tank that failed to save the USSR from collapse in the 1991 coup d'état attempt.

I don't see how it really matters which model of tank is shooting at your white house, seems like it's a pretty clear sign of collapse

No, just... no.

>Implying Quality matters when you can Zerg your enemy with mass produced shit
>Not like the Americans did something similar during the second world war.

>Implying Quality matters when you can Zerg your enemy with mass produced shit

"JUST RUSH'EM" doesn't really work when you're stuck with an anachronistic ground-intercept system and your pilots don't have nearly as many flight hours as the enemy. The Americans during the second world war smashed the Luftwaffe because they had better aircraft for the job at hand, more planes than the enemy, and loads of pilots with plenty of training.

>implying you can zerg when you only have one carrier with no way to service it

Fuck, that's a beautiful plane

That motherfucker is loaded for bear

>several decades old tank design

lets be realistic here

>armoured superiority

Tanks were only useful in WW1 to get over trenches without being shot.

From then on they were just memes, like battleships. A complete liability.
