Open carry is fucking stupid. I'd have to say that concealed is a significant advantage over open carry. Concealed allow the element of surprise, they don't know you're carrying. With open carry, that carrier gets ambushed and shot immediately, and his gun taken. There are many, many videos of concealed carriers stopping a robbery or carjacking, and many, many videos of open carry (including cops) getting instantly shot and then robbed.
