I'm getting a decent Christmas bonus and I want to pick up a 12 gauge auto-loader. The slavaboo in me wants to get a Saiga-12 however they seem to be iffy. The Vepr-12 seems reasonable however I don't like it aesthetically as much as the Saiga. I'm also thinking of splurging and just getting a Benelli M4. I'm open to any suggestions.
What's a good auto-loading shotgun?
From your list I'm a assuming you want tactical (no Browning A5) and not "poorfag" (no 930)
Are you going to run and gun, or is this range and home defense?
>Don't forget the Beretta 1301 and the FN SLP
You assume mostly correct. It's pretty much a range toy however I'm not opposed to budget guns like the 930 and the Lynx. If I can get a great shotgun for cheap I'll take it.
AR-12
he a fine boi
The thing is, is the M4 really worth ~2 grand when a Vepr 12 is half the price?
Beretta 1301. You won’t be disappointed
Yeah I do hear a lot of good things about the 1301.
I got a VEPR-12 for christmas, as a slavaboo, let me tell you; it's pretty cool
to add, Legion USA sells a version called the LUX edition which is pretty good looking
Hmm I gotta check that out.
I have a cheetah 12 and it functions pretty well for dirt cheap. I bought mine for $400. It’s a little picky on ammo, but after breaking it in it will take and slug and most buck expect low recoil and rio brand.
the VEPR also flawlessly cycles the 7 1/2 shot Federal that you can buy at Walmart for $20 per 100.
It will not cycle Kent 8 shot though.
Is that Saiga-12 really that shit? It seems like getting a good Saiga is like flipping a coin if you get a good one or a lemon.
too bad magazines are retardedly expensive.
You're talking about the factory mags right?
those are the only ones that allegedly are reliable.
Do you have any experience with them? I'd really like to pick up the 25 round drum mag.
Very sexy. Needs a muzzle brake to be complete.
This. Or any saiga type shotguns
Probably a good ole huntin shotgun
What modifications have you made to yours? I hear you have to get a new gas plug.
Any recommendations?
The Vepr-12 is an amazing shotgun. However I agree, the Saiga is very iconic and aesthetic.
Have you heard of the Lynx-12? It's a chink Saiga clone and theyre like $450. You should look into that.
You got a Lynx?
One thing about the vepr it is considerably heavier then other AK type shotguns. I feel it more ment for competition
Friend's saiga doesnt cycle bird shot well but has cycled any buck we've put through it so far, however it's relatively new
Maybe look for a Remington 1100.
Old good ones from the 1980's should be easily found. Plus, you can extra parts like a shorter barrel and magazine extension easily. All they need to run reliably is a Viton #21 o-ring.
Yeah I've always been thinking about that ever since I saw No Country for Old Men.
No, but I am trying to sell the bottom vepr in the pic, and if I can sell it, I would like to get a lynx just for the aesthetic. There was a deal a few weeks ago; a lynx and 5 mags for $450
Tac v13. Semi auto 12 ga hip iron.
That's pretty cool but I'm weary about new Remington.
i just bought a lynx from the sweaty ben @ classicfirearms
so far i haven't seen anything terrible about them
Vepr 12 or a benelli
You can't go wrong with the M4
Is it as good as they say?
How hard is it to twist that stock off to replace it because I have a LGS selling one on the base models for 1660.
I already have a vepr12 and now I want the only other shotgun I think is on the same level.
I'd say so, yeah. I got a really good deal on mine
For the stock, you just line it up to the right notch, twist to the left and it comes right off. Pistol grip just screws off
Ooo how much did you pick yours up for?
I have 3 semi-auto 12ga, they all work well. Remington 1100, JTS-12, molot vepr12
What brand of mags are you using?
Various no name
Find an ol Winchester model 12. Slam fire that fucker! I love mine
Fantastic gun
Benelli M1 super 90.
lose some weight
Can you get tube extensions for it?
yes, nordic components makes a +2 for it
