New Equipment Around the Globe

Have you guys seen the other shit Russia is putting out? Shit looks really slightly futuristic appearance wise, god only knows if it actually functions.

Post any new tech in militaries that you like.

Heres a Anti-tank missile truck which deploys like the israeli tank that was secretly a missile carrier

>New

Kornet-D is old.

Newer air droppable and amphibious anti tank vehicles come from China. For example, Arrow-10MN.

Most of it is either movie prop-tier or an older system dressed up to look fancy. Russia is a paper tiger and a borderline failed state.

God I love missile armed shit

BRDM-1 is like Mad Max aesthetics irl.

>Strela
>New
Yes, american retards mimicking chinese shills are this desperate.

Attached: 9p157-2 khrizantema-s (1).jpg (1417x874, 408K)

Strela is Russian, while Arrow is Chinese.

Because translating the name to English is the best you can do.

BRDM-2 gets me hard too

Attached: BRDM-2_Anti-tank_vehicle.jpg (2304x1728, 2.19M)

BRDM-2 is some of the cutest looking military vehicles out there.

Attached: brdm-2 (4).jpg (2519x1893, 2.12M)

Because Russia only has Strela-10 it is far older than the new Arrow-10MN.

No, because google translator is your Olympus.

I love Chinese stuff

Attached: XianJH-7A.jpg (2000x1333, 328K)

I like how the video never shows it hitting a target, it just shows that it's capable of launching a missile. That's the easy part, the hard part is making said missile impact a (moving) tank and cripple/destroy said tank/vehicle. We still don't know if this is a working system.

Say what you will about their performance, but modern Russian tanks are surprisingly aesthetic. I love that shade of green

Just a good solid tank

The new Ural

It's a music video, dummy.

I love the looks of Typhoon Ural.

Attached: typhoon-u 63095 (1).jpg (2250x1500, 1.95M)

You could post more better Chinese military rather than old Russian movie prop tier.

They've needed a redesign for a long time now
The thing is functionally a t-55 with all of the modern gadgets/armor/gun
Still has a lower frontal glacis protected only by RHA, still tiny and cramped, still has an arm-gobbling autoloader, still reliant upon ERA for its protection, and STILL HAS AMMO IN THE FUCKING CREW COMPARTMENT

I wonder why do americans do this? Is this payed by CIA or just a meme trend?

Attached: k-17 vpk-7829 (4).jpg (1600x1067, 366K)

Who the fuck knows who it is, it's just someone shitposting, calm the fuck down.

I like how the new Russian army stuff looks, fuck me, right?

They need to make the ammo storage in the back of the turret bigger or at least add those cages seen in the T-90M.

Attached: maxresdefault (79).jpg (1280x720, 194K)

Jesus Christ that thing is huge. I didn't know it was that big.

Well aware of that, but in the majority of the video, especially the arty shots, they show the gun and the targets. In most cases they show the rounds on target. Just saying that there's no proof it works.

I mean I know my dude, didn't mean to offend a country. I just find it hard to believe actual shills can be this obnoxious and obvious.
>didn't know it was that big
V-shaped hull for mine and IED resistance kinda enforces the size.

Attached: k-17 vpk-7829 (8).jpg (1280x853, 205K)

>No log

Yep that thing is cancelled.

That's the point, it's not the original video so any content is on the conscience of the author. Like the French fighters from some movie that are totally out of place in this case.
>Just saying that there's no proof it works
Kornet does, why car-mounted Kornet should not?

Attached: 6c9cf5b6eec288eafe91bef3ce4b3490.jpg (1280x853, 200K)

Log is on the other side, simpleton. Also why don't Americans use the log? It seems to be a pretty fucking effective thing to have and costs like almost literally nothing.

Attached: t-90m (1).jpg (3144x2188, 1.65M)

>log is on wrong side
More proof of capitalist infection spreading into Russia.

>wrong side
No such thing for the log.

Attached: t-90m (3).jpg (1080x720, 113K)

>Also why don't Americans use the log?
Do you really want to know?

>Also why don't Americans use the log?

Because no (((defense contractors))) make logs.

Well, yeah, it was a genuine question. Like why would anyone not what to use it?
Fucking lol, actually makes sense.

Attached: t-64bv (5).jpg (1200x935, 1010K)

>Like why would anyone not what to use it?
So basically us tanks are heavier and more importantly sit higher than the T-72/80/90. What this means is, if it does get stuck the log won't be much use because it will be suctioned into the mud and completely bottomed out in way deeper substrate. This requires either a winch if you are lucky or a recovery vehicle.

They could sell the logs at Auschwitz saying it was grown with the blood and tears of the Jewish people and as such should be sold for 8 gorillion dollars.

Actually makes perfect sense, didn't think about it. Another question, did Americans or at this point Germans and Brits too think off something similar or do they just rely on recovery vehicles?

Attached: t-80u (1).jpg (1280x800, 965K)

Also, in case someone here is not aware about the wonders of tank crew having a log:
youtube.com/watch?v=enz_rNSCUuk

God that is one sexy truck.

New for Australia, none built yet though.

Attached: BoxerCRV.jpg (2048x1365, 376K)

Wench is first, but that's why recovery vehicles are everywhere in western army's. I don't think the armata has a log for the same reasons.

Fuck me if the thing doesn't look brutal. Is it internal development? Gun looks much larger than standard 30 mm, is it 57 mm?

Attached: k-17 vpk-7829 frontal plate.jpg (3334x3213, 2.05M)

As a general rule of thumb, if it looks futuristic and is Russian, it's probably too expensive for the Russian Army to adopt in any large scale. Good equipment, but not a great fit for their economy.

>I don't think the armata has a log for the same reasons.
Well, first of all T-14 is not really deployed yet although neither is T-90M which actually does seem to have the log. Second, I don't think 50 tonnes as compared to 45-48 tonnes is that much of a difference for it not to work. I guess we'll see in the future.

Attached: t-14 bottom.jpg (1024x683, 271K)

>if it looks futuristic and is Russian, it's probably too expensive for the Russian Army

Attached: murmansk-bn (4).jpg (600x450, 49K)

The Boxer has been in use with Germans, among others for several years now. But Australia is ordering about 200 of them with most of it to be made here, including the whole turret, which is a 30mm gun.

question does anyone actually use the upgraded KUB-K missile system?

>KUB
Lol.

Attached: 9k317m buk-m3 (5).jpg (1920x1080, 152K)

Didn't notice the file name, thought it's an Australian-made vehicle. Pretty cool that you guys made your own turret. What did you use before in the role?

>Let's just clear out a huge piece of land, drive in six trucks, take a few days to set up our fuckhuge EW system, then sit completely still while we monitor the tidal wave of inbound ordinance.

>Pretty cool that you guys made your own turret.
Don't let the shitposter fool you, user. It's just an LANCE turret from Rheinmetall build in down-under. At least they didn't stick some kike turret on top like fucking Lithuania.

Well we didn't design the turret, but for jobs we get to build it locally.

We mostly used ASLAVs as our equivalent i believe

Attached: 1489507310969.jpg (1200x675, 234K)

You are not reading correctly, nothing in my comment was false or shitpost.

Crikey Steve, don't get your panties twisted over some banter. I thought you guys could take it.

My bad mate, I realized soon after I posted that you may have said it in jest at me, rather than my post content.

New utes and jeeps for us too

>Don't let the shitposter fool you
I don't see how he's a shitposter for answering my uninformed questions, asshole. I'm actually quite in fond of Australians building up their defense on their own or at least trying to.
But as building it locally you do get to decide what's up, right? I mean Ukrainians didn't design T-80 but T-84 is barely a Russian design.

Take T-80U protection and multiply it by like 20-30%. T-80BV is still top aesthetics tho.

Attached: t-80bv gsfg.jpg (1440x1032, 1005K)

Looks like a capable artillery platform.

Attached: a-222 bereg (1).jpg (1080x1080, 984K)

>supposed
Was supposed to, I guess. Not really tho, Mi-8 is still the best utility helicopter on Earth and I doubt that if Mi-38 was up to it it would'n've been produced en masse at this point.

You're both behind the times.
All heli design bureaus and construction plants are now merged under Russian Helicopters JSC, which is a subsidiary of Oboronprom, which is a subsidiary of Rostec corporation.

The MAZ seems like it would of been a much better platform for the Pantsir than the Kamaz

The Israeli Namer II looks pretty sweet. Merkava tank chassis with 25mm bushmaster, remote-operated .50 cal MG, trophy active protection system, and Spike ATGM launcher

I love heavy APC's in general tho

Attached: 1-1_0.jpg (700x429, 46K)

The new Israeli wheeled APC Eitan is also being co-developed with Russia and is based on the Bumerang.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 121K)

>co-developed with Russia
I'd like a citation on that.
>based on the Bumerang
Wat? It's based on a Merk 2 chassis.

Where are you getting this BS info from?

Attached: 1200px-Eytan_--_Our-IDF-2018-IZE-200_(43053775600)_(cropped).jpg (1200x606, 192K)

I don't get it. What's the pros of heavy Merkava APC? Surely it can do lots to protects its occupant than regular APC. But's it slow, bullet magnet and the occupant space is more cramped than Russian MBT. If for armoured ambulance, recon or engineering maybe more fitted to this heavy APC than be a battle taxi.

Gotta remember that the Israelis don't intend to fight far away from home and mostly in areas that have roads

Is that the ammo safety eject system working as it should or are the saudi mercs getting rosted inside?

Looks prettt comfy to me.

The aussie military has finally realised how completely fucked it is because of the lack of secondary industry, so they've made the decision to buy designs from overseas then produce here to build up factories and a work force.

>jeeps
>kerb weight 5 to 10 tonnes.

How many rounds per minute?

>That red sand
Aesthetic

It's frontal penetration. Make a wild guess.
