Have you guys seen the other shit Russia is putting out? Shit looks really slightly futuristic appearance wise, god only knows if it actually functions.
Post any new tech in militaries that you like.
Heres a Anti-tank missile truck which deploys like the israeli tank that was secretly a missile carrier
I like how the video never shows it hitting a target, it just shows that it's capable of launching a missile. That's the easy part, the hard part is making said missile impact a (moving) tank and cripple/destroy said tank/vehicle. We still don't know if this is a working system.
Nathan Rodriguez
Say what you will about their performance, but modern Russian tanks are surprisingly aesthetic. I love that shade of green
You could post more better Chinese military rather than old Russian movie prop tier.
Zachary Jenkins
They've needed a redesign for a long time now The thing is functionally a t-55 with all of the modern gadgets/armor/gun Still has a lower frontal glacis protected only by RHA, still tiny and cramped, still has an arm-gobbling autoloader, still reliant upon ERA for its protection, and STILL HAS AMMO IN THE FUCKING CREW COMPARTMENT
Charles Bailey
I wonder why do americans do this? Is this payed by CIA or just a meme trend?
Jesus Christ that thing is huge. I didn't know it was that big.
Cooper Gomez
Well aware of that, but in the majority of the video, especially the arty shots, they show the gun and the targets. In most cases they show the rounds on target. Just saying that there's no proof it works.
Jeremiah Powell
I mean I know my dude, didn't mean to offend a country. I just find it hard to believe actual shills can be this obnoxious and obvious. >didn't know it was that big V-shaped hull for mine and IED resistance kinda enforces the size.
That's the point, it's not the original video so any content is on the conscience of the author. Like the French fighters from some movie that are totally out of place in this case. >Just saying that there's no proof it works Kornet does, why car-mounted Kornet should not?
Log is on the other side, simpleton. Also why don't Americans use the log? It seems to be a pretty fucking effective thing to have and costs like almost literally nothing.
>Like why would anyone not what to use it? So basically us tanks are heavier and more importantly sit higher than the T-72/80/90. What this means is, if it does get stuck the log won't be much use because it will be suctioned into the mud and completely bottomed out in way deeper substrate. This requires either a winch if you are lucky or a recovery vehicle.
Eli Gomez
They could sell the logs at Auschwitz saying it was grown with the blood and tears of the Jewish people and as such should be sold for 8 gorillion dollars.
Gavin Hill
Actually makes perfect sense, didn't think about it. Another question, did Americans or at this point Germans and Brits too think off something similar or do they just rely on recovery vehicles?
As a general rule of thumb, if it looks futuristic and is Russian, it's probably too expensive for the Russian Army to adopt in any large scale. Good equipment, but not a great fit for their economy.
Leo Williams
>I don't think the armata has a log for the same reasons. Well, first of all T-14 is not really deployed yet although neither is T-90M which actually does seem to have the log. Second, I don't think 50 tonnes as compared to 45-48 tonnes is that much of a difference for it not to work. I guess we'll see in the future.
The Boxer has been in use with Germans, among others for several years now. But Australia is ordering about 200 of them with most of it to be made here, including the whole turret, which is a 30mm gun.
Didn't notice the file name, thought it's an Australian-made vehicle. Pretty cool that you guys made your own turret. What did you use before in the role?
Chase Scott
>Let's just clear out a huge piece of land, drive in six trucks, take a few days to set up our fuckhuge EW system, then sit completely still while we monitor the tidal wave of inbound ordinance.
Gavin Rodriguez
>Pretty cool that you guys made your own turret. Don't let the shitposter fool you, user. It's just an LANCE turret from Rheinmetall build in down-under. At least they didn't stick some kike turret on top like fucking Lithuania.
Ethan Rivera
Well we didn't design the turret, but for jobs we get to build it locally.
>3 fucking thousand km range EW system >He thinks you can just drop JSOW on it and watch what happens Watch what happens with your JSOW. >Don't let the shitposter fool you I don't see how he's a shitposter for answering my uninformed questions, asshole. I'm actually quite in fond of Australians building up their defense on their own or at least trying to. But as building it locally you do get to decide what's up, right? I mean Ukrainians didn't design T-80 but T-84 is barely a Russian design.
Ian Roberts
Take T-80U protection and multiply it by like 20-30%. T-80BV is still top aesthetics tho.
>supposed Was supposed to, I guess. Not really tho, Mi-8 is still the best utility helicopter on Earth and I doubt that if Mi-38 was up to it it would'n've been produced en masse at this point.
You're both behind the times. All heli design bureaus and construction plants are now merged under Russian Helicopters JSC, which is a subsidiary of Oboronprom, which is a subsidiary of Rostec corporation.
Robert Lewis
The MAZ seems like it would of been a much better platform for the Pantsir than the Kamaz
mil does a part job in ka project even tho they have their own mi28
Bentley Price
The Israeli Namer II looks pretty sweet. Merkava tank chassis with 25mm bushmaster, remote-operated .50 cal MG, trophy active protection system, and Spike ATGM launcher
I don't get it. What's the pros of heavy Merkava APC? Surely it can do lots to protects its occupant than regular APC. But's it slow, bullet magnet and the occupant space is more cramped than Russian MBT. If for armoured ambulance, recon or engineering maybe more fitted to this heavy APC than be a battle taxi.
Wyatt Jones
Gotta remember that the Israelis don't intend to fight far away from home and mostly in areas that have roads
>aussies >not notorious shitposters >binland >not know for autism and funposting I known that this is """4channel""" because this greedy slant-eyed dog-eating yellow zipperhead-gook kike mook sold us out, but how new are you, faggot?
Matthew Foster
Is that the ammo safety eject system working as it should or are the saudi mercs getting rosted inside?
Asher Wilson
>the occupant space is more cramped than Russian MBT Looks prettt comfy to me.
The aussie military has finally realised how completely fucked it is because of the lack of secondary industry, so they've made the decision to buy designs from overseas then produce here to build up factories and a work force.
