What's your preferred shooting stance?
For me it's the chapman
What's your preferred shooting stance?
Why are you planning on standing still when you have to use your gun?
When will you plebes understand?
A stance is not THE way to shoot a gun
It is A way to shoot a gun.
Different stances for different situations
Full nigger one hand sideways gangsta grip with each hand, dual wielding with crossed arms
The stance that maintains stability, tension, and accuracy regardless of if I'm stationary or in motion.
makes bunnies frown every time

left eye dominance with right handedness is suffering, but modified weaver lets me compensate

The sway back
The getoffmylawn stance
The queefer
The pissed boomer
The one handed slow jack
I juggle three diamond encrusted pistols, only shooting behind my back, over my head or through my legs

Olympic 22 rifles are to be replaced with laser pointers soon.

Please don't, this would be sad and gay larp.
>pop pop pop watchin motherfuckers drop
their hipoints because they don't know how to shoot.
I wouldn't be surprised if they replaced it with fortnite. The Olympics are fucking retarded.
I just really like the stance for shooting standing unsupported.
The "Pat Mac", because yes you guessed it, i'm a Pat Mac fanboy.
I noticed that very few gun owners actually care about accuracy.
Jesus Christ, dropping the rifle like that triggers me. The rest is retarded but come on.
>I noticed that very few gun owners actually care about accuracy.
Seems like an american thing to me. The whole "self-defense shooting at 5 yard" training thing seems pretty damn odd. I understand training for it, but why not just put your target at a more respectable distance. If you can hit that, you're sure to be able to hit up close.
Either way, it seems more restrictive laws and range rules cause euroPEONs like myself to focus a lot more on accuracy in general.
Most gun owners are dumb dirt shooters or soccer moms.
But for practical combat shooting, after attaining reasonable accuracy, the next goal is speed, not more accuracy.
Are there any good books on this subject?
Poor, poor raifu... Stay strong, this nuffin will be shot dead sooner or later, and his family nuffins may sell you to normal people.
Yes.

There's a difference between practical accuracy (can you reliably do the thing you want to the gun to do) and "How small a hole can you make in the piece of paper"
I care about how well and fast I can put rounds into a target the size of a deer's/elk's/bear's/person's vitals. The ONLY time I'm shooting from a bench is when I'm sighting shit in, because it has nothing to do with my intended use for the gun.
Pic-related are one of the best targets in the world for honing practical accuracy IMO. I feel bad for you if you live in a place where varmint control isn't an activity you can use hone your other skills.
This is the only real answer. Every person who actually shoots and moves uses some variation of the Weaver stance. Isosceles has been proven to be faster but is only viable while you're static, and even the race-gun dorks use a more Weaver-like variation on isosceles when they're moving.

only taught by NRA "certified" fudds
not if you want to learn anything resembling modern technique.
what you you recommend? I'm new to pistol shooting.
watch the haley strategic video on YT titled "setting the pins". Its a tip on setting your hands up for a consistent grip. remember you're not fighting recoil but controlling it. once you "set the pins" your hand should lock up like a pitbulls jaw.
Flipping before shooting feels great but it's not the best idea.
Isosceles. Weaver is outdated and objectively inferior in every possible aspect, same for Chapman. Competiton, self-defense, wearing armor, doesn't matter.
Watch 3:33 - 6:54. Or just watch the whole thing since it's full of nothing but good information.
If I’m shooting one handed, I’ll use the old Bullseye stance, otherwise I just do what feels comfy at the moment without putting too much concern into it.
