Chinese Radar detected F-22 at long range in 2013

WU Jian Qi, chief engineer of the CETC group (makers of china's quantum radar), confirms that a metric-wave radar detected and traced the route of an F-22 at a distance of 450 km in 2013, whereas none of the other Chinese radars saw it . Today these metric radars cover all coastal areas and China has a lot new and better metric wave radars ready.

My understanding was that while most radars can detect stealth aircraft, very few can actually get a firm enough lock for a missile to hit it except at point-blank range (like that one Serbian guy managed). But then basically everything I know about stealth comes from that one incident so I could easily be mangling this horribly.

>grading your own homework

This is like when the US put out the word on those 2 chinese spies who stole information, and then China bitched and moaned how China never steals secrets and that everyone else is making it up.
So with the very well known fact that the chinese government LOVES pumping up numbers and pro-china releases, what exactly about this news is true?
And before you start pointing fingers, people KNOW the US does the same thing, but it doesn't arrest people for questioning it.

>And before you start pointing fingers, people KNOW the US does the same thing, but it doesn't arrest people for questioning it.

When did China arrest people for questioning official data about military system performances?

Dont make shit up. There is literally no reason for them to do that.

Exactly, you don't hear from them at all because you usually can't say anything when your kidneys, liver, heart, and eyes are taken and sold.

>Thread about great success of Chinese military ships being built

I wonder who could be behind this....

Wow. China seems to be destined to win then. How come the mighty CIA cant seem to drone-kill random dudes in sandniggerstan without everyone and their dogs knowing about this?

Why is america so incompetent? Literally just give up and embrace your Chinese overlords.

No thanks, I'd rather be shot than get eaten by an escalator.

explain why you know nothing about six gazillion chinese dissidents killed, but every single CIA black ops victim.

Is the US really that bad? I think they are.

Seriously, it is better to surrender to the communists.

Wow, massive radars are able to detect stealth aircraft??? I'm pretty sure the Russians have been doing this for years, it's getting a lock on which is the hard part. Also, how do the Chinks know that these aircraft didn't have Luneberg lenses equipped? Seems likely if they were flying over Korea like this

>better to surrender to the communists
>Modern china
even when Mao was running things, he ran it to the ground. The chinese government had to save face and blame it on the gang of four, fuck, mao's reverence was ratcheted back because the later chinese leaders realized how much of a dumpsterfire his policies were. The current china and the prosperity it has is due to opening up trade and relaxing of the markets towards capitalism. It isn't communist at fucking all.
At least know something about your own country.

Wow.
I wonder when Brazil and India will become Superpowers!
They were drinking 100% pure capitalist goodness right from the beginning! I'm sure that by 2020 all Indians will have white servants and live in hyper-cities made of floating buildings and flying cars and that every Brazilian will earn 100 times more than Americans! Power of Capitalism and Free Trade with America who rebuilt them to become what they are today!

V.S.
>openly bombing military enemies in a foreign country where where you don't control any of the communication structures.

The war on terror showed us that the CIA is fully capable of snatching people internationally and disappearing them for years to blacksites around the world without anyone being the wiser. Meanwhile the CCP can't even organ harvest falun gong or mudslimes in your own country without getting caught out by the international press.
Either way, why would you be proud about your fellow bugmen getting blackbagged by your government for political crimes? I mean, do you think its a good thing that the government can just kidnap you and murder you for your organs whenever they feel like it?

Simple.
The chinese people blindly follow whatever their superiors tell them to, until things look bad, then they jump ship and chimp out. It's your people and the culture associated with your people. Now keep thinking it was all due to socialism/communism and not your government loosening their stance on trade that began the change. Stealing industry secrets also helped as well, but climbing that ladder through any means necessary is just how the chinese mindset is. So don't act surprised when literally everyone else in the world call you out on shit like OP being more chinese ego stroking and lies.

I believe the luneberg lense would increase the rcs return to something like a conventional aircraft. If their standard radars couldn't track something but the advanced radar can, it suggests the target has a very small rcs.

No. They have a retractable/detachable Luneberg lens used for daily flying. Despite Chinese exaggeration, it's not unreasonable to assume a metric-wave radar, especially with quantum magic to up the gain, would provide early warning successfully.

Great job, China. You've caught up to early 1990s American technology.

Sun Bo, who was general manager of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, was found guilty of trading power for financial gain and accepting bribes, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, China’s top graft-buster, said in a statement on Monday. But two sources close to the Chinese military told the South China Morning Post that Sun was investigated for allegedly passing confidential information about the Liaoning, China’s first aircraft carrier, to foreign intelligence agents. State-owned CSIC plays a key role in developing and building naval vessels including nuclear and conventional submarines and aircraft carriers. It is currently working on the first Chinese-built aircraft carrier, the Type 001A, at its shipyard in the northeastern port city of Dalian. One of the sources close to the military said it was unlikely the authorities would make public details of Sun’s crimes since they would involve “state secrets”. “His case is complicated and involves a lot of state secrets that can’t be disclosed, so the authorities would only say he was being held on ‘corruption charges’,” the source said.

I don't give a single shit about what muslims think about living in china user.

Point is: Would jews travel to Germany during the 1940s? No.
But Muslims still travel to China in the year 2018 and with no end in sight.

Just a little tip: If you spread lies and slander and try to wage a propaganda war to demonize another country, you better make sure that noone is disturbing your narrative. The CIA gets so much money - why the fuck did you not buy off all muslims in the world to not to travel to China or say anything nice about China? This really is sloppy propaganda work. Goebbels would not approve.

Homie what the fuck is your sociopath mind going on about? I'm and that's the only other post I've made. I don't give a fuck about any of that. Muslims are going everywhere they can because they know in 100 years their numbers will triple and expand.

>China says China is great place!
Nobody cares what SCMP says, there is a reason why you edited out the name of the company putting out the story.

0/10 effort.

'Metric-wave' isn't a real thing.
Maybe you are thinking millimeter wave?
Waves are grouped by wavelength, or by frequency, like 2m, 70cm, etc, or in frequency VHF, UHF, EHF, etc. They are all "metric".

So, why would muslims go to a country that is suppossedly holocausting them in concentration camps by the millions?

lol China

SCMP isnt China and is actually quite anti-chinese, being a Hong Kong paper.

But whatever. How come actually none of the muslim countries aside of maybe Turkey actually protest against China's treatment of Uyghurs, while those non-muslim/muslim-droning countries cry wolf?

>Bangladesh marvelled at “the development miracle of China.” North Korea commended Beijing “for its strenuous efforts and brilliant success made for the promotion and protection of human rights.” South Africa called China ”a global leader on people-centred development and poverty eradication, as well as a formidable defender of multilateralism.”

China has cited that separatist group as a security threat in Xinjiang, where Beijing has in recent years built a network of incarceration centres amid an intensive campaign against what it calls extremism.

VHF and UHF are metric wave radars.

amp.businessinsider.com/chinas-j-20-stealth-jet-spotted-by-india-air-force-su-30mki-2018-5

VHF and UHF are frequency bands, not radar. Radar uses a frequency in one of these bands. Waves are measured in metric length. A UHF or VHF frequency is not a "metric-waves". VHF is the 2-meter band, notice how it is 2-meter, but not "metric-wave"? That's because "metric-wave" isn't a real term.

>SCMP isnt China and is actually quite anti-chinese
Laughable. China has a track record of disappearing HK residents it does not like.

Luneberg lenses are use for training and if flying around commercial airways in peacetime. They absolutely would not equip a luneberg lens for a military patrol. That's like sailing a submarine patrol on the surface.

Metric as in meter, not metric as in metric system. It means lower frequency radars in this contest.

Anyone have that Serbian poster apologizing that they didn't know the 117 was supposed to be invisible?

>murder their own citizens.
We're in the process of sentencing a CIA informant for the Chinese to death.

That's the magic of decisions in bureaucratic systems as enormous as the US federal government. It's taken almost a decade to become obvious, but the budget cuts and diversity hiring still isn't going to be questioned for years.

Then you would say "1-meter wave", but that's not a real designation either, so you use "VHF or UHF-band radar". Your so-called 'lower frequency radar' falls in the HF to UHF bands which have their respective designations.
Please, stop making up nonsense, it only furthers to confuse other readers.

>official

I can't wait to rape me as many Chinese women as I can in ww3.

Nigger who's your? I'm just explaining what it means. It also doesn't mean 1 meter wave, it means waves with a wavelength between 1-999.

>making up nonsense
Again, I'm explaining what he means. The author, Wu, wrote a paper in which he used the term metric wave to refer to HF and VHF bands. I suspect it's a translation from Chinese which is why it doesn't use English conventions.

>wrote a paper in which he used the term metric wave to refer to HF and VHF bands.

Nobody, and I literally mean not a single person within the scientific community, takes chinese papers seriously. The shit the put in chinese papers is fabricated data or stolen data, and lies.

Rich coming from a "scientific community" that is like 80% Han Chinese.

Interesting but not entirely related fact:

The XB-49 could have been flown from Turkey and the UK at night in the 50s-60s and struck the Soviets/WP with nuclear weapons with absolute impunity because it would be invisible to radar unless directly above it. Even during the Cuban Missile Crisis if they developed had an operational B-49 fleet with air-to-air refueling they could have just hit the small amount of Sandals and Skeans on Cuba and in the Warsaw Pact countries and hit the puny amount of SS-7 Saddler sites deep within the Soviet Union in a sneak attack and crippled the USSR and just mopped up their cities with continuous stealth bomber sorties backed up with B-52 bombers firing Hound Dogs at interceptor bases and nuking radar picket ships. They just didn't understand RCS and stealth at the time. 100% true.

Amazing what pro-government statements can be made where questioning the statement or requesting to review data can get you ded.

Friend of my fathers from his time in the Air Force in the 1950's said the same thing. Our air defense radars from that era couldn't pick out a YB-49 at any distance.

S band radar have a range under thirty kilometers and are useless for tracking.
