Ah. Well, at one point I had an old M40A3-esque boltgun, but the closest thing I have to ‘old-school’ is this lever shotgun prop.

Nice! I use to make guns out of foam core and duct tape / aluminum foil tape all the time back in middle school.
Try to work on making cleaner surfaces and angles. Eventually you'll start using wood, aluminum, and plastic like I did.
