Why has nobody made a "hunting rifle" type configuration of the AR-15?

Why has nobody made a "hunting rifle" type configuration of the AR-15?
I mean, a non-scary looking gun with wooden furniture and angled stock and no rails anywhere, like the Ruger Mini-14.

No, without a pistol grip or the odd-looking cali cuckflaps. Also in wood, not some odd camo coloring.

something like this?

You're talking about cosmetic changes to appease gun grabbers and soccer moms. If someone wants a wooden hunting rifle, they should buy one. The AR-15 is not a wooden hunting rifle.

...are you talking about the dust cover?

The original ar-15 was a hunting rifle configuration. There is nothing wrong with select fire hunting rifles.

No, AR-15 grip fins.

Congratulations, there are multiple posted in this thread with angled stocks.

do those have metal inside for structure like:
?

seems to me like just making triangular handguards purely out of wood instead of glass filled polymer would leave them kind of weak.

see
You either build it like , or you have a buffer tube and a thumbhole, so it looks like a cross between a P90 and a Monte Carlo stock.

I have those same handguards. they're actually quite thick on the inside and a little sturdier than the standard round plastic guards.
