A small big iron, like a .22 lr bluntline with a BP wire stock on it. Absolutely slaying squirrells

IDK, I find smol irons pretty cute.

Would buy in a heartbeat if 44mag.

Would also love a Colt saa 7.5" barrel in 44mag, modern sights, and not wonky looking like a Ruger super Black hawk.

45-70 Government?

Yup, BFR with the 10 inch barrel in .45-70

Umm there big iron and then there's trying too hard iron. Don't get a tryhard iron.

Believe it or not, it's an actual factory gun by Freedom Arms in .454 Casull.

It's for handgun hunting.

Reminds me of that .17 HMR revolver Taurus used to make with a 12 inch barrel.

You fucker, I got the song stuck instantly in my mind.

Good 'ol elmer keith managed to without an overcompensating iron like this

Attached: keith=god.jpg (1280x720, 136K)

to the town of agua fria

Admittedly I think that guys a mega manlet, it makes it look a lot larger

I doubt Elmer took moose or something that size with a handgun round.

>doubt Elmer

NIGGAWUT

I think the BFR is But Fucking Retarded, but the one with the barrel rib is kind of sexy

You can take anything if God wills it!

still way to big

I guess if you have a .30-30 levergun than the bfr in .30-30 wouldn't be too bad so you only would have to buy one type of ammo

everything is possible if you do your part

That's the same argument you could make about .22LR

R.I.P. Debby. I can see it now.

"Woman found dead blowning out her own fucking brains when attempting to fire assault caliber pistol out of a BiG Iron"

yeah you can and its a good idea

but since this thread is about the BIG iron I haven't considered it

Pistol round*

who this tho

Is this a Little Big Iron?

>"The Ranger's "Big Iron" actually existed. It was a one-off custom handgun chambered in .45 Colt and featured a Great Western copy of the Colt Single Action Army frame, Colt 1860 Army backstrap, grip frame and grips, and a cut down 9 1/2" Marlin rifle barrel. Marty Robbins saw it in Andy Anderson's famed North Hollywood gun shop in the late 1950s and wrote the song around it. Its current whereabouts are unknown."

Based on this description given on Wikipedia, I have created an artist's rendition of what the original Big Iron might have looked like.

Sexy/10

Just got this H&R 999 Sportsman in .22lr. I was thinking of making a new grip with stingray leather.

I know Taylors and Cimarron both resell uberti. Are there any significant differences in their warranty and support though?

That's a sexy ass schofield

smol iron time?

Attached: maxresdefault(13).jpg (1280x720, 104K)

thank you very much partner

>passed all the tests I could find to throw at it even shooting a bic pen like 10 feet into the air
Got a good one here, boys, at least as far as I can tell as a brand new DA/SA revolver owner. God damn, it's so cool. Can't wait to shoot it.

Attached: elmerapproves.jpg (576x721, 130K)

Now you need to watch some Sledge Hammer while you fondle your new big iron.

Attached: sledge-hammer.jpg (283x375, 22K)

I always liked the 4 3/4" barrel, but as luck would have it I ended-up w/a 7.5" 1970s Colt SAA. I can tell you that it will drop a horse at close range (don't ask). Problem is, even though I have average sized hands the grip is too small! Ruger rectified all the problems in the SAA with his Black Hawk, it was my GoTo Gun for many years. The old Super Black Hawks are serious Shootin Irons!

I love the look but it's un-ergonomic ass shit!

Need to find a model 57 now.

rip this show, it was too good for this world

>H&R 999 Sportsman in .22lr
Tell me more

NAA Ranger is cute, CUTE!

It's a topbreak revolver from 1936 chambered in .22lr and that's basically everything I know on it.

barrel looks weirdly shooped
