Unique Com-bloc firearms in the US

Other than your well known AK's, SKS's, Makarovs and Nuggets what are some unique com-bloc weapons you can buy in the US?

>M76 for only slightly less known rifle.

but that's an AK

VZ. 58 is one of the most undervalued rifles ever designed.

Its an AK but 10x better, its simple, cheap, reliable, and accurate.

>10x better, its simple, cheap, reliable, and accurate.
>cheap

no it's not

>its simple

It's complicated compared to a AK

>it's reliable

not with that open receiver it isn't

>accurate

you are right.

why did the Czechs replace it with an AK?

how exactly is it more complicated?

pretty sure the vz's replacement was the bren, not an ak. afaik the cz2000 is its own thing

They replaced it with the bren.

Yugoslavia was Non-alignment but if the M76 counts (i fucking want one) then this does too. M75 12 Gauge shotgun made by Zastava from 1975-1991

Never knew Zastava made a shotgun, I have seen tons of those Baikal shotguns.

VZ61. Too bad the US ones got cucked by the SBR laws and has no top folding stock from factory

Yeah I didn’t either, shot my buddies baikal marked “made in USSR” and got jelly, mentioned I wanted one to a different friend who knows I’m a serbaboo and he sent me a link to a GB auction.

At least the receivers now come with the screw-holes to mount a backplate. They use to not even have that, although my backplate wiggles a little.

Am I relevant?

Attached: PM84DSC07878.jpg (1874x1071, 264K)

I'm canadian so I have bullshit pinned magazines but at least it came with a folding stock. Also despite this boards negative opinion of them; CZ75s (the original ones at least) are Pretty good eastern bloc firearms

Yes
tell us more

Attached: 1521487585341.png (480x480, 133K)

Is that a brs99?

How the fuck can Canada get these and not us?

hits the relatively unique mark.

Attached: 750_6779.jpg (6016x2289, 1.44M)

The M76 is a very interesting rifle but for full Slav you got to go with the M91 is commie 7.62x54mmR

Attached: 18473ce2741820e79d4bd24d9223c12a.jpg (1600x1200, 147K)

Because our gun laws may be stupid but at least we dont have SBR laws. Don't get too jealous though, they cost $1500 and are shit tee-bee-aych famalam

>from the gunbroker auction

I want one, and I will have one, just not for MORE than the classic price, or from Classic. I would pay the classic price, but just not to them.

Not imported

Ive always hated the super vepr

>Ive always hated the super vepr
why is that? I really like it. A 12 lb rifle in .223 or .308 leads to barely any recoil at all. The regular bulge of an AK-esque receiver inside the wood stock makes the thumbhole stock a lot more comfortable than other's I've handled. My only issue with it is the trigger is a bit gritty at the first 40-50% of the pull, and the scope mount is $200.

Attached: 750_6788.jpg (6016x4016, 2.61M)

Mostly because in my mind an AK is a crude (in a good way) weapon made for war, not a benchrest style rifle in anyway. To me a super Vepr is just as pointless as those tactical lever-action rifles marlin or mossberg made.

What's wrong with Classic? Other than Ben's chronic sweat attacks?

I’d say the vepr-1v and vepr-fm rifle’s tick the box. My psl probably ticks the box a bit too, and maybe even my sporter vepr only because snowflake 6.5 Grendel.
My favorite overall gun right there. Not 10x better, but better in plenty of ways for my purposes anyway. Never shot a basic ak in 762 that I’ve really liked. I just don’t think they feel nearly as good to shoot.

tl;dr they pulled a CheaperThanDirt

>more complicated
Isn't it a Tokarev action? The bolt should be immeasurably more simple than an AKs... the receiver would just be a box with a recoil spring and guide in it. Tokarev actions are dead fucking simple, but their accuracy is bound upon manufacturing quality and bolts have to be matched to receivers.

As much as I like my Vepr IV its literally an RPK in 556, its not unique at all.

Here's how I set up my VEPR .308
Probably my favorite gun.

Attached: DRAGGY.jpg (3136x1497, 747K)

What about pistols? Most of the "unique" comblok rifles were just AK variants and the Vz52 and Vz58.

>trying to look like a PSL
>while simultaneously trying to look like a SVD

cringe

i agree with your thoughts on the AK, but I see the VEPR Super as something other than that and what you're describing. Rather than being a benchrest rifle for "precision" shooting/punching paper, I see at as more of a traditional varmint/hunting rifle instead. I mainly got it to have a more low-brow rifle to take kayaking, hiking, and camping instead of my AR. While it is arguably just a cucked AK, I think it made the most out of what it could with the import and Russian market limitations. The tactical lever-action rifles on the other hand seem to me to just be trying to make themselves more relevant to the wrong crowds, and failing at even that.
I was actually deciding between this and a Marlin 1895 , but the fact that I don't reload yet played a big factor in the continual price.

>buying an inaccurate pencil barrel piece of shit.
>spending upwards of $15,000 on a gun
>not buying russian made heavy barrel rifle chambered in readily available domestically produced cartridge.
>not shooting dirt cheap .308 all day

Attached: IMG_2203.jpg (2048x1365, 358K)

To be fair, I got an excellent condition NDM for $4250, so in my opinion thats a better deal than paying $2000 for an enlarged AK that doesnt even take doublestack mags.

I also bought my PSL for $700 which is, in my opinion, a more collectible rifle than a VEPR .308

How many other factory built rpk-201's are in the US?
Seems pretty unique by my standards anyway.

Not quite. Toks, SKSs, and FNs all have a tilting bolt where the rear tilts down into the locking recess, while the front tilts down on the CZ. It's a kinda weird setup that's notably more complicated than either the Tok tilting bolt or the AK.

I guess I was assuming OP meant relatively unknown weapons, everyone knows what an RPK is, not many know what is.

Oh shid...

Attached: 20190112_171857.jpg (4160x3120, 3.09M)

Fair enough, not sure how rare he really means.
And "can buy in the US" to me means they're on the market to some degree at least and easy enough to get if you want and have at least a bit of patience.

None of us will ever hold one, but the Korovin TK would be the ultimate dream come true. Sure its weak .25 ACP that's basically only good for executing people but it would be so cool to have

Attached: TK_.25_Auto.jpg (1480x1099, 789K)

You can find these in the US. One was on gunbroker a few months ago.

forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?50528-The-6.35-mm-Korovin-Pistol-(Pistol-TK)

hell yeah, my lad. What magazine is that? The 10 rounders are nice but I'd like some larger ones just for the hell of it. With that sight mount (I have the other one that only accepts a railed section you attach over the dust cover) can you still see the irons?

Attached: 1503911551334.jpg (616x478, 55K)

also I've started getting two emails a day from that sweaty fat fuck. tried to unsubscribe several times but they keep coming. finally had to add them to the blocked emails list.

Mine is in .308 and it's a pufgun mag from legion: legionusa.com/ak47-ak-saiga-vepr-parts-accessories-rifle-shotgun/magazines.html

Yeah I can use the irons from the side mount. Idk if the company does mags in .223 (if that is what yours is chambered right?). I heard you could convert it to take galil mags but idk...

ah, I was unsure of that so I figured it looked like a 20-round clear .223 magazine. That company doesn't but I'm still looking around. The main problem is finding 74-style mags with the large locking/feedlip notch that VEPR mags have. I'd rather not do any permanent modifications, butGalil mags do look like a likely fit so I'll check that out, thanks.

Still looks like a child's drawing of an AK and it always will, which means your inferiority complex will never go away

More like a superiority complex. It’s the better gun.

I kinda want a vepr in 6.5, my only question is how much of a pain (or cost) is it to do a full conversion.

>Has to continuously say it's better
My man that's textbook inferiority complex stuff.

Attached: Smugasfuck.jpg (300x350, 22K)

Shooting them side by side, the VZ feels better, but I still prefer the AKM, VZ mags are weird and I haven't bought 7.62x39 on stripper clips in 10 years

considering it's 6.5, you'd want to start with the VEPR Super in .308 which will be close to a grand out of the gate. Then you've got the issue of getting someone to make you a 6.5 Creedmore(?) barrel. I don't know that much about AKs, but to my knowledge swapping barrels isn't really possible since they're fitted to the trunnion. So if that's even possible, I think it'd be around $1.5k USD at least and fairly time consuming. Or you can just get the worse VEPR in 6.5 Grendel for $900 grabagun.com/molot-vpr-65g-01-vepr-6-5-grendl-16.html

Attached: 012-2.jpg (800x600, 101K)

I own enough aks(and have shot a few others too) to know what I think is better.
When I get my hands on an slr-107, I’ll see if the brake is enough to fix how meh every 762 AK I’ve used up till now has felt.
Still won’t make up for everything your average 762 aks are missing like bolt hold open and the very smooth feeling action when firing.

They make a Vepr in 6.5 Grendel

classicfirearms.com/russian-vepr-65-grendel-semi-autotype-02/

Zastavas shotguns are pretty bad, same as their 357 revolver..

I have one, pretty sweet.
The cheap wolf 6.5 is like an extra mean 545x39 when it hits. Yaws like crazy.

Attached: 5047D978-32B8-4F0D-AE2E-7583A898C74B.jpg (3024x4032, 2.16M)

you're right, and that's what I linked at the end of my post (albeit an out of stock listing). I first figured that user meant a VEPR akin to the VEPR Super at first, before I checked.

Attached: 719001413_1.jpg (1000x217, 25K)

Does the vz52 count? Like the look but the ammo is kind of a bitch and i heard the conversions are hit or miss.

Attached: vz_52_l1.jpg (1024x768, 598K)

I should have bought one of these years ago for like $150, It was worth that for the novelty, but not worth the current prices.

Then days of surpus gun prices..

Attached: putin joy.png (550x386, 251K)

How could we know that Obama would kill the milsurp market?

does the PAR-1 count?

Attached: Romanian PAR-1.png (800x300, 590K)

Arent these jamming pieces of shit? Or am I thinking of the WASR-22?

I hear Zastava is making an appearance at ShotShow this month, and might be opening a factory in the US.
Is this true? I don't want to get to excited without reason

Honestly I don't know. OP asked for unique, not good/reliable.

Not sure about Shot Show, but they announced they would be opening Zastava USA.

More like a workshop to get around your import laws

So this means there could be more Zastava in our future? Actually decent AKs in 7.62x39, 7.62x51, 5.56, etc?

Some Type 81s made it into the US before the ban in 89, but I don't think they'd be worth the price you'd have to pay to get one. They aren't bad, but are priced at around $1000 up in Canada.

Attached: Type81_LRG.jpg (950x382, 70K)

Confirmed for never disassembled a VZ58

Attached: gib.jpg (778x512, 46K)

There is one on gunbroker right now. Asking price is 6K

Yup. Aside from the lack of chrome lining and nitriding barrels, they'll be high quality.

Zastava said they'd be at shot show this year, and one of the items they'd be showcasing is the M91 in 7.62x51 and 54R.

HYPE
I can get fucking barrels, I can't wait!

They do make Chrome barrels just not for every model, its complicated....

Zastava also makes Mauser-based rifles, and they sell bare actions. You could put together your own K98 clone(well, close enough) if you wanted to using one.

Attached: zastavam98action.jpg (2592x1944, 575K)

It’s pretty much a Walter P38 action in rifle form, really weird and really cool.

This is pretty much the only thing they could offer that I’d want. Mostly because I already have all the other shit they made that I’d want.

Estimate on price?

I love mine

How does stuff like this even get into the US?
WW2, Korea or Vietnam bringback? Were some left in the huge soviet stockpiles and came in as part of the import shipments of the 90's?

Collectible is secondary to function when it comes to my gats. I like how solid my the gun is, and I don't feel bad about taking it out of the safe and chootin' it.

Are .308 Super Veprs still in stock anywhere?

there are 2 on gunbroker

>fagotten whorepens or sweaty ben

wow two cancers are fighting each other

Attached: 1542540016418.png (2995x1543, 397K)

lel it's not a better gun, it's not even close, the ak shits all over czech autism

Is 245€+90€+Shipping good price for this kind of rifle?

that's around $400 US depending on how much shipping is and yeah that's an OK deal. They were $150 US just a few years ago and that was a good deal. now you're lucky to find them under $500 US.

Is anyone making 762x45?

Dunno about new production, but you can still find surplus stuff in stock.

sgammo.com/catalog/rifle-ammo-sale/762x45mm-ammo

delete this.
please delete this so that I can actually have a chance to buy some before it's all gone.
i'm serious. please.

I believe Prvi Partizan makes new production 7.62x45

Obviously you aren’t a patrician.

Glauberyt?
