I went to a Militaria show this past summer and one of the firearms exhibits/stands had one of the Gyrojet Carbines, iirc the carry handle variant. The fellow running the exhibit told me sadly he couldn't let me hold it, but that I should have a peek at the Serial number. I don't remember the exact digits, but it basically read as, "Serial No. 0001".

I didn't take a photo 'cause I'm a Luddite and only had a flip phone from 2010, but I was thinking of Jow Forums the whole time I admired that rifle.

I see no reason a Gyrojet couldn't be combined with a shotgun shell hull and a light "launching load and maybe full rifled barrel. Skip the stabilizing rockets and go for a straight mach 3-4 slug with some kind of metallic propellant.
