Here in binland :DDD we carry a small bandage pack for first aid. That way it is easily at hand in it's own dedicated pocket when needed. On leave the pocket tends to carry the safety reflex band you can put on your sleeve on those long dark nights ...and the bandage, too, if you wan't to be a good boy and potentially "save" someone's life if some accident happens to come across you on leave, and by doing so be rewarded with good boy points, more leave.
Our M05 uniform angled the pockets inward about 45 degrees to make accessing it a bit easier. I guess that's the only downside of those nice in-line DDR sleeve pockets.

Nah. The only ones I've seen to have first-aid on hand like that were my comrades in arms during conscription and my ex, who had a small apothecary in their handbag. Mostly aspirin, but who knows what sort of inventory that fold in time and space held in total.

It just werks. I have a repro one but with a green background instead of a tan one, since its more wet n green where I live. Would recommend using it in airshit or paintshit events in jungle/tropical savannah environments so you can ambush your buddies epic style from the brush and give them bush war flashbacks

UCP is probably the best urban camo, and I just don't think red makes anything anymore noticeable if it's not a solid color. People get shot wearing BRIGHT orange all the time. I don't think red is any worse.

That’s just my IFAK that I bought on EBay for $6. I actually hate the pattern. I just didn’t care enough about it at the time. That and my FLC are my only Camo patterns. Both of which were surplus and dirt cheap.

Dude no UCP is fucking awesome. If you wanna look at it innawoods it looks kinda obvious but if you got pathces of grass/sand/dirt or flat out dirt and scrub brush. It's fucking awesome for urban stuff and doesn't really stick out that much at night since green is fairly dark colored. UCP is seriously under-appreciated. It' blends in way better outside in urban places than some grey/black or solid swat stuff. Someday people are going to look back and go, oh yeah UCP that's really not as bad as everyone made it out to be.
I don't think fall matters for apenflage. Hunters in bright oranges DONT FUCKING SHOOT ME PLZ colors get fucking shot accidently all the time because of movement and they just had no idea what they were shooting at, they thought they were shooting at something BROWN. The red don't make any difference. Apparently I didn't know this till I started looking it up, but the red was to confuse certain types of cameras. I don't think it makes that much of difference if you're really still and not moving.

lol it's not a beauty contest. Camo isn't to conceal you, it's just to break up your figure/outline. I just don't think weird outlandish colors really stand out that much and people confuse it with brown and white things fairly regularly. People I've had warn me that they might start shooting at me made it more of a point of knowing which area I'm in private/public rather than any sort of camo.
That's SOP for America too, technically when your uniform is out of commission. You're suppose to cut it up and burn it.
