It does seem to take a hint from fallout 4, fewer weapons than then the previous game, but the weapons are way more customizable to make up for it.

The lack of prewar weapons really saddens me. Old games had the revolver, saiga, kalash, rpk, aks74u and a as val clone. Fuck they dont even have the kalash 2012. That shit is as iconic as the bastard gun.
I always wished metro would add more prewar weapons. Its russia. Would be cool to see toks, maks, mosins, sks's, svds and shotguns galore.
I hope these shown arent the only weapons in the game.

Looking forward to it. And I love all the weird actions. Wide open wastelands are a pretty jarring change, but the devs did have to move on eventually. There are still plenty enough underground bunkers and the like to play out your tunnel rat fantasies in. I hope Ana isn't as fucking useless and better written than in Last Light, because they sure keep shoving her to the front throughout trailers.

Artyom isn't dead, but Miller should have one arm and no legs at all, whatever the continuity. Why would they change that at all, makes no sense.
