APCs are big, wasteful, and slowly becoming obsolete. They are all being replaced with tanks and towed infantry trailers. The tanks tow the trailer into combat, then the infantry disembark. Everything heavier needs to be some kind of train, everything lighter can be handled with gavins, gavins with trailers, and articulated multi-gavins
