Nope, spent 2 months in the hospital once I got back stateside. Was hit in the upper left shoulder, shattering my shoulder cup and the ball on my humerus. Recover consisted of removing the shattered bone fragments, resurfacing the ball on the humerus and reconstructing the glenoid socket with screws and metal. Now going through the TSA always takes significantly longer

Pretty sure it was just to fuck up what we were trying to do.

dont blame you at all with the shitty leadership but living near vietnam vets and hearing about the horror stories of the VA made me make sure i documented even the littlest shit when i was hurt and got it all properly documented.

I don’t have a problem anymore in regular life things, hunting, shooting, cycling, working on things around the farm. But i cant do things like lift weights, or lift very heavy objects above my shoulder.

Missing two fingers, and a failed lower back surgery to fix a herniated disc. Five deployments in 14 years. Military ages you fast as fuck. Got two more years left on contract, gonna have to make a decision to go indef with a P2 and ride a fucking desk, or medical it out. My fighting days are gone.

Debilitating head wound while serving in the Global War on Terror in 2001. The pain has never permanently gone away. It flared up so bad back circa 2012 that I was contemplating suicide. I could barely move without being in excruciating pain, couldn't even bend down to pet the cat. It eventually cleared up with the help of large doses of Aleve Liquid Gels and McAdams Whiskey. No symptoms for about two years now, thank god. I'm always afraid its going to come back though.
