nope don't do it, it doesn't work. The "swift link" is an elaborate Jow Forums prank. It is specifically designed to make your rifle fire out of battery and damage/destroy it. Or possibly injure/kill you.
Also if you make it slightly too big, your bolt carrier won't go into battery once you cycle the action for the first time. Forward assist won't help. This means that you now have an illegal (10+ years in prison) device that is jammed up in your gun. The only way to get it out is by removing the castle nut, which takes time. OR WORSE, if your castle nut is staked you might even need a dremel or gunsmith to get it off. Really, really bad situation.
Don't do it anons. The threads are trolls or ATF agents trying to get you in prison.

Even if the bolt is stuck half way you can disassemble with the two push pins. Try assembling or disassembling an AR without the buffer stop pin installed sometime. It's easy.
