Haven't had a chance to try one yet but I like my Atlas. Have a SFMB on my AR and bolt gun and it's oppressive for anyone not shooting it. So highly recommended. I have a M600IB that I like but contemplating getting the new 1k variant

Dsa voyager 21 or ptr 91 gi

OR save up for dsa da58 21 classic

I'm an impatient person who doesn't want to have to hunt down a parts kit and receiver

Voyager 18. You'll be just as accurate.

PTR over DSA.

ٴٴ here's to hoping that the 6.5 memmore FAL will be good

$5k it better be sub MOA

Thanks for all the new choices in optics, Shot Show '19
You pricks

Been a pretty shit SHOT

I dunno, i thought the PSA MP5 and the Arex Delta were pretty cool

If you're impatient I wouldn't recommend DSA. They take 6-8 weeks to build your rifle and ship it, so you're not really saving time over finding a good parts kit build. Not sure if PTR is any more timely though.

I want to buy a PTR, limit it to five rounds, and make it my hog/deer hunting DMR.

Talk me out of this.

sounds like a great plan what are you talking about, nobodys gonna talk you out of that

DSA's voyager line is shit, PTRs are forever.

Just posting to say I love the gags in the OP of these threads.

BR or no that 33 looks boss

I guess no reason not to, but what's wrong with an AR10 of some sort?

Attached: BRBR.jpg (2400x1600, 811K)

I like the PTR more

Thanks user

Honestly I always support any reason for modern battle rifles to have low cap mags thats not just some law that forbids higher cap mags, they look so pretty with the mag either flush or just sticking an inch or so out.
It almost makes it feel more refined, like its not something you're going to be using in combat getting it all filthy, so you just have a couple small magazines you can fit neatly in a fishing vest pocket or whatever

>lightly used PTR91 GIR
>13 mags and sling
>$950
Worth it or should I just buy new at that point?

What a fag. Fuckin benchrest queen ova hea

13 mags and sling are like < $100

$13 mags are like $60 I think

Buy from Aimsurplus then, they have them pre-built.
If they're $800 on the street then I'm getting one

>voyagers

Hnnnnnggghhhhh

If I had to chose between a 1k voyager or a 1k ptr or 1k cash I'd take the voyager

Those both give me a boner fit to cut diamonds. Really happy with my PTR.

Big boi kalash is just fine for long term carry with a krink sling. Will gucci it up eventually.

Attached: ballammo.jpg (1234x925, 386K)

What about non-Voyager DSAs?
Is it really $400 better?

I thought I was getting that color green with my PTR but got that nasty olive drab. What color is that even called?

Couldn't say for sure. But mine has a surplus stock on it. I could tell by the HK stamp and sloppily crossed off serial number. It's a nice forest green with the set but I couldn't tell you where to get it because I bought mine at the gun store I work at and that's how it came. I'm sure the furniture you need is easily found though! I'm thinking of getting a sling but otherwise leaving it be.

Chelsea coming through.

Attached: Chelsea_1.jpg (3159x3024, 2.61M)

You killed someone with it?

read your emails faggot

t. guy who emailed you about a frog spinnyboi

Uh, no.

You can't name a gun unless it's killed someone, sorry.

Says who?

Attached: Chelsea_3.jpg (3892x2563, 3.7M)

Fals are fun to build and not that difficult in the world of gun building. Only difficulty is barrel timing basically, but with some shimming and sanding possibly needed, it's not that hard

The god of gun naming.

Agunnamemnon.

how its always been

Never heard of that rule in my life. But whatever. I built it, and that alone is enough for me to want to name it.

What about knives?

>fal in 6.5
Does this mean I can avoid springfield

Is it pretty normal to see the plastic buttstock with wood handguards? I'm having an L1A1 rebuilt with the black plastic furniture, but I also bought a wood set to dress it up. Kinda like the look of the mixed types.

Wasted an attempt there boyo.
>Not Agunnamem(user)

If you have 5k

/brg/ noob here, I love the look of FALs and the history is neat but I know zilch about them. What would it cost to get a good quality, lasting gal? Either prebuilt or parts kit. If kit I'll send it to someone to have it built. Really want a semiauto .308 rifle.

1-2.5k both will shoot about the same. Voyagers have shitty rear irons but it's only 60 bucks to upgrade and 40 for a carry handle. Only real problem with them is they can't accept side folders so if that's something you want you're in for 1600+

I've seen it before, not sure how standard it was? Plastic is probably stronger for smashing doors? Do they even have doors to smash in Africa?

Anyone group their FAL?

I didn't ask for these feels.

10/10 would operate with

Picture them all as white and that's pretty much what I expect a bunch of Jow Forumsommandos to look like when the civil war breaks out.

Anybody own a Diamondback? They've got some .308s that were getting my attention but this is a completely foreign caliber to me.

>5 fucking k
>when the 7.62 goes for 2100
Fug

Dont ask /arg/ about anything period.

Diamond back rifles are really good for the money, good accuracy, and pretty damn good accuracy especially compared to the days where the only decent AR-10s you could get that didnt cost what a used car did was a DPMS. The only thing is that the models ive seen and held are heavy as absolute fuck, mostly due to the heavy barrels. More DMR worth than BR, but dont let that turn you away, the newer ones seem a lot lighter.

I've been doing a little research - definitely need to do more. 8lbs without a mag isn't exactly lifting weights. I'll keep digging.

Needs more obesity and autism. Have you ever seen the photos from Jow Forums meetups?

And is just as good at BR ranges.
Does anyone even use a FAL in PRS?

So can someone gibe me the down-low on the SCAR-17? The M-14, PTR, and FAL are illegal in my cuckold state.

Attached: 1510185119424.jpg (255x244, 15K)

Modernized AR18 in .308 Winchester, pretty good, and pretty overpriced, but if price is no object, you do get a pretty sweet rifle.

>check state laws
>AR-18 banned too

Attached: 1469037269445.gif (272x225, 1.17M)

What fucking shithole are you from?

What state bans "worse" guns

Attached: 1528865604034.jpg (959x771, 301K)

Well, maybe you can get an M1 Garand or Hakim, those are pretty sweet still.

Well, it hinges on them actually recognizing it as an AR18, it's not a direct clone, it doesn't share parts, it's just fundamentally the same in its action.
Look around and see if the SCAR16 or SCAR17 actually is banned in Maryland.

I checked the police website and see SCARs in my LGS all the time.

Attached: screencapture-mdsp-maryland-gov-Organization-Pages-CriminalInvestigationBureau-LicensingDivision-Fir (695x171, 11K)

PTR or CETME?

Ptr91 hands down, few if any mention of malfunction. And I'm 2000 rounds of cheap Malaysian shit into it without a hiccup. Literally made with the original company's tooling. I couldn't sing it's praise more.

Attached: 1548433738009.jpg (720x403, 50K)

Amazing its not only a scary assault weapon, it's also a battle rifle, but that's not all because it even has a scary name that may or may not be an acronym for some Belgian liberation front. Yet it's not banned! Simply amazing.

It is because MD copied some old AWB so it mostly just bans old guns. New stuff is usually MD legal.

Looks like a SCAR17 would be a viable option for you then.

Range pics from earlier today, the RFB is just barely hearing safe with the can. Still not bad. AR is very comfortable to shoot without earpro. My RFB is getting 1.5-2 MOA with steel case monarch .308, not bad I'd say. Recoil is pretty soft too.

Attached: IMG_20190201_173652009.jpg (3120x4160, 2.82M)

Is it actually a nice gun or just a status symbol touted by /arg/?

It is very nice, I just don't think it's worth the $3000MSRP that FNH insist on, more like half that.
Still, if it's the option you have, it will be a good battle rifle for you.

Given that Maryland doesn't regulate newer guns a lot, you could also look at a Robinson Arms XCR M, those are pretty nice too.

Attached: XCR-M.png (1024x768, 1.48M)

oke I'll check that out.

>must resist urge to /arg/shit all over that pistol
Nice do you have a dB meter?

i still need nods. very aware I need to spend a bunch on my kit. still don't have my own plates.

Hello /brg/
Help me choose my first rifle in real fuckin nato.
Psa ar10
Larue ultimate upper kit 16 or 18
Cz Bren 2
I plan to use either a red dot or fixed power optic. I’m also going to suppress it(762 specwar).

bren 2 gang

You can shit on my "firearm" it was my first time building an AR like 4 years ago now. I now the brace is pretty shitty but when I got it it was either that one or the butt ugly sig one. No face extendable braces yet. Also with that long ass tube that goes with it my AR is 26.25" Mr ATF.

No I don't have a decibel meter, I can't see spending the money on one. All I know is there's no EEEEEEEE after dumping a magazine.

Holy shit my spelling is fucked lmao. That's what I get for phone posting while tearing into a pack of Miller lites I guess. The can is a black aces tactical PS30 if you're wondering.

Just take a rattlecan to the handguard.
Get plates they're cheap now

Been procrastinating on it. I still dont know if I want lvl4 or lvl3+.

Attached: Naamloos-2.jpg (600x600, 35K)

Get 4. They can be had for under 5lbs a piece. Can always get a high speed low drag 3+ pl8s later.
You're just going to be LARPing in them anyway so get something mid tier at best. Good for cardio workouts with your heavy BR and 45oz side arm.
