“Alternative weapons”

Since I’m going to Japan, I want an alternative to a gun.
What are some suggestions?
I was thinking a 6 foot bull whip.

You get detained at customs and have your asshole resized.

Just use your natural red blooded, corn fed, american strength. This is fucking japan, your odds of a getting assaulted in a dark alley in a bad neighborhood are about the same as your odds of getting assaulted in your closet and even if it does happen it'll be by some drunken 5'7" manlet of a salaryman.

Airsoft:

big flashlight
bright flashlight
bike chain
padlock tied to a handkerchief
big carabiner
tough pen
car keys

Baseball bat.
Nips love baseball

wow, there were some thumbnails i did not want to see.

Just get a katana, make sure it’s made of superior thousand time folded nippon steel so it won’t get chopped in half during your first duel with the village samurai.

How can they detain me if I whip them with my best impression of my rich white forefathers?

I might do that.
Really depends if “Old Boy” is Chinese or Japanese.

Kek

If you're going to lots of touristy areas with metal detectors at the door, get a non-metallic knife/stabber of some sort.

this doesn't get you going?

It's Korean.
But basically anything is illegal for you to carry around. Can't have multitool with a knife on it outside your house. But as long as you stay away from Nigerians, you'll be alright.
t. lived in Japan for 3 years

it's more the knives + eyeball stuff i try to avoid

Are you saying Japanese anime fucking lied to me?

I'm afraid so. I was sorely disappointed when I found out that all anime was a lie. But I didn't find out until I was already in Japan.

What the fuck did I just watch?

Well I’m going to Okinawa, so I’m sure the only thing I’ll be fighting is Marines off with crayons.

>thinking you need a gun in Nip land
are you a woman or something or just extremely american

Your fists user

Sorry to hear that. You'll be fighting off Marines alright, but they'll be perpetually drunk and always brandishing their dicks. You'll also fight Okinawans with protest signs who want you off their island.

I get you're joking, but even SoL anime is a lie made to cater to single lonely males. In reality, the nips are going the way of the panda.

A gun (in Minecraft of course). Make sure to bring enough 9mm ammo for your Minecraft gun.

I think I’m really just trying to make an excuse to fulfill my need and want to have a weapon around at all times.
It’ll just be something I’ll need to get used too.

I miss my guns everyday.

You can apply for a license to own some guns, but I've heard it takes a while to get one.

I’m pretty sure only Jap citizens can own them.

How long are you staying there?

Not true, but it costs you about 4 thousand bucks iirc and the test is only in japanese

Two years, not too terrible. I’m looking forward to it regardless.

You might be able to get a sword or something if you need a weapon, but of course it's just Japan, they're almost 0% brown so I doubt there'll be any trouble.
I think they do allow airsoft and maybe pellet guns if you need to scratch the itch, but I know it's not the same.

This is about it for Japan. Even the bike lock/chain or even the "lock" in a handkerchief is pushing it for them over there.

People walk around with kendo bokken and bamboo "swords" aka shinai but can only do that of they belong to a dojo which is like ¥500 a month for dojo participation and another like ¥200 a year for carrying a concealed bokken in a bag. Then registrqtion is like ¥1500 every 5 years I want to say.

A person can visit Japan with these items as long as they have proof of practicing at a dojo and list the bokkens on a list alongside the dojo facilities name and location.

The above terms and conditions also apply to carrying a bow for kyodo in Japan, Japanese arrow and bow martial art.

The things though user, I suspect you don't have any training or contacts of either of these fields when you land in Japan. Carey flashlight. They have thin edged large bulky flashlights you can carry in Japan and widely avalibe outside of Japan.

Japanese delinquents only roam at night with bats these days and even then the police crack down hard.

Delinquents fight with fists.
Yankii have declined and the era ended in the 90s essentially.

Bump.
