If amateur radio can be used to communicate with satellites, could an amateur radio operator damage satellites using a high power microwave beam?

In theory, you'd need a lot of controlled/monitored tech or be very savvy.

Read somewhere camel jockeys used the attennas out of microwave oven to attempt to jam drone communications. I doubt it works, but they are around 1kW which is a pretty strong signal.

you can make an area limited EMP using batteries and a light bulb or camera.

basically what you are doing is overcharging a battery/capacitor and causing a sudden "jump" which may either blow the circuit or explode the battery.

example:
Obtain a disposable point-and-shot camera
locate the large electrolytic capacitor
Discharge the flash
Remove the PCB and replace its charge switch
Solder the capacitor to attach:
Form the load coil
Connect coil and switch

more like easy to detect and outright ignore. RF noise is everywhere all the time forever and modern devices manage to not constantly spew trash as a result. It's not even like it's a matter of DSC, noise filters are just really good.

it's not even a "LE ITS DAT NOT LE EASY!!!" but the opposite, even kids' walkie-talkies penetrate "jamming" you plan on doing (obviously just keying on frequencies, or LE SPARK GAP MACHIEN, both of which generate noise which is, really, ignored by default just so radios arent constantly crackling loudly in the operator's pocket and instead only make sound when there's intelligible sound coming over)
