I am trying to buy some large bags of rice in the UK, to stockpile for the collapse, but UK Amazon only has listings for small quantities and not only will the 50lb bags I've seen on US Amazon cost me an arm and a leg to ship, I've seen reviews saying there were weevil larvae in the rice. Would it be more practical to buy the largest bags of rice I can find in shops, and then collecting it all in an airtight drum? Or does anyone know of sources for large amounts of rice in the UK? Also, I'm only so set on rice because it has a long shelf life and is space-efficient, if you know of anything easier to acquire in bulk in the UK that serves the same purpose I'll look into that too. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

How much rice do you think you need?
I just buy the 10kg sacks from the supermarket, make sure I've always got at least 10kg unopened and when I'm close to finishing one bag I buy another next time theyre on sale. Means I generally have between 15 and 25kg on hand and that's enough for me.
I've got a similar setup for pasta and breakfast cereals.
All together I've got enough food for a few months and I'm happy with that. I doubt any disaster will last even that long so I'm don't consider it worth prepping for.

Asian store i lived closeby to had large bags of rice. They probably also know their product well and can tell you about insects and storage. But they were kinda expensive, just any discount store here selling 1kg packages will likely be cheaper.
