Why can't America?

>Shit calibre
-5.8mm cannot be used beyond Communist supply lines unlike superior 5.56mm NATO
-Parabolic trajectory
>Shit grenade
-Puny 20mm unlike superior 25mm or 40mm with bigger bang
>Shit grenade launcher
-Shit bolt action with bullpup design. Makes operator somehow managed to twist shooting arm just to reach the bolt
>7+Kg weight

And yet, the US has nothing comparable.

Even your 40mm low velocity round is just vaporware. And useless, if real since it won't hit shit beyond 100m.

>not having a laser-guided 40mm missile

Get fucked, ching-chong.

As said, vaporware.

Congratulations, you just added a lot of unnecessary weight by slapping on an oversized bolt action rifle on the bottom of your assault rifle.

Already in testing. To say nothing of the XM-25, which was actually fielded in combat. Unlike any chink weapons, which are usually thrown away by the recipients even when they receive them for free because they're such trash.

Stay mad, chink.

>And yet, the US has nothing comparable.
US did that 30 years before the chinks and guess what
everybody came to conclusion that this is just bunch of usless heavy shit that will only slow soldiers down
watch as chinks use theirs few times for some propaganda posters and then queitly dispose of them

>only slow soldiers down

And yet America is trying hard to catch up to China via
I wonder what mental gymnastics would you do next

you do know that it's just another type of grenade that you can put in your underbarrel greande launcher right?
this isn't another 20kg slapped on top of your rifle
man you chinks are retarded

bait china shilling is just as annoying as actual china shilling.

That's by design, so that corrupt Chinese officers can't sell them as easily.

Why is there glass at the front?

its for the optic in the head of the missile.

do you even know the importance of half of those events?

40mm airburst is a shit replacement for HV 20/25mm grenades. SAGM a shit - sabotage of the XM25 is a travesty.
Also in all fairness the QTS is about the same weight unloaded and without optics as an m4 and m320 also unloaded and without optics.

What I don't get is, are the Chinese giving every guy a 15lb rifle? As I understand it, the QTS 11 is a QBZ 03 with a fancy optic and grenade launcher combo? Why not just give a few guys the grenade launchers, then the rest of the squad can carry more ammo for their rifles, and more grenades for the grenadiers as well? In every photo I've seen of squads using this thing, every guy is carrying one.

Also
>does it share mags with the QBZ 95
>does this mean the Chinese army is moving away from the QBz 95, to a qbz 03?

True, but as I inderstand the QTS 11, and I'm by no means an expert, the QTS 11 needs the optic for the airburst grenades to work. Weapons like the Raytheon Pike work with a seperate laser. I could be wrong, if the QTS11 could let multiple guys lock use data from one laser that'd be pretty sweet.

>True, but as I inderstand the QTS 11, and I'm by no means an expert, the QTS 11 needs the optic for the airburst grenades to work.
Nah they have the ranging and ammuntion programming hardware built into the rifle. Optics are mounted separate and integrate only minimally if at all. Has its advantages and disadvantages.

How come chinks come to Jow Forums to post that their shit is superior, yet the only use you yellow fucks have for them is on controlled training exercises? Where US shit might be old and outdated it has at least seen use in combat

>Nah they have the ranging and ammuntion programming hardware built into the rifle. Optics are mounted separate and integrate only minimally if at all.
How does the trooper using it program the grenades then? What's the interface? Is there some sort of keypad or dial? A laser rangefinder without an optic seems like an easy way to miss your mark, because I assume at that point you'd be relying on your iron sights for aiming it. You know what I mean? Like, the optic on the rangefinder seems like the best way to be sure you're getting the range on what you actually want to be aiming at. These issues would become more pronounced the further away your target was.

The US experimented a lot with OICWs, and would eventually find that they were too expensive, too bulky, and wasn't practical enough. This was a long time ago though, and it came with the insistence on having a magazine fed automatic 20mm launcher built with a 5.56mm carbine.

The XM25 would develop from this, and would be somewhat more practical, the 25mm grenades carrying a larger payload, and the launcher being more practical and easy to use, further not being burdened by having a carbine stapled onto it.
All that said however, carrying an XM25 launcher instead of a rifle, means you can't be a rifleman, which means a lot of the time you aren't as useful for your squad (hence why M16s with underbarrel 40mm launchers largely replaced the M79 single shot 40mm launcher).

I think what they should do is to develop a single-shot 25mm launcher to mount under an M16 rifle, allowing for a lot less weight, and for a gun which will be much more practical overall, being that you'll shoot the rifle far more often than you will the launcher.
With modern technology, the optic with the laser range finder would also be able to be a lot smaller and lighter than the large and bulky units used in the early OICW development. This would not be intended to replace 40mm underbarrel launchers, however, as there's value in being able to deploy a larger payload, even with shorter range.

I think the Chinese went in the right direction by just making it a single-shot launcher, saving a lot on weight, but I think the way they're set up with those helmet mounts, is a little goofy, and I wonder just what kind of payload the 20mm shells they use can employ.

40mm is great, but I don't think applying airburst technology to them will be as easy, given the much shorter range and the curved trajectory, a smaller, higher velocity grenade with a straighter trajectory, would be much easier to use in this manner.

Because Americans use actual fire arms and not shitty plastic prop guns with an Akm inside.

Those things are fucking amazing, but they're also so expensive they give me heartburn whenever I look at them.

Because get this, it's a fucking missile, m8, it's a tiny missile that you can fire from a 40mm launcher.
It's some pretty fucking crazy technology, like something out of a videogame, but it also costs like $80000 per unit, which is why I think this isn't necessarily the best solution at every occasion.

Because technological advcement is so fast, to mass-produce something that might be obsolete in a year makes no sense.
For all we know in tue next full-scale war soldiers might be throwing bags of drones at each other.
With todays technology it's very easy to start a mass-production quickly when needed, and I'm confident there are numerous next-gen weapons ready & tested.

Note how you had to not count the heavy optic for it to get close to an M4 with a CompM4 or ACOG.

zai jian wu mao!, i wish i remembered more chinese lol
