I want a pistol for the range and home defense that has supreme accuracy and reliability. Everything I hear about this pistol is outstanding. Some say after they shot a cz shadow 2, they traded in their polymer pistols to fund more cz purchases. People who own it say they can shoot the wings off of a fly at 25 yards. One guy said he had 20,000 rounds through his without a hiccup. They are pricey at $1,200, but Glocks just are not cutting it in terms of garbage stock trigger and poor accuracy outside of 20 yards.
Redpill me on the CZ Shadow 2
>still has the chromed trigger
Nah i'll pass
Faggot. Grow up, really. You’re too poor to afford it so you complain about the look of the trigger, Christ you glocktard idiot NPC’s just can’t step outside of your little bubbles. I truly feel sorry for you.
They make good guns.
You will find poorly made guns usually go out of production because most people won’t buy them.
The cz 75 has been made since 1975.
>Here we see a man who has spent $1200 on a CZ pistol only to realize it's not any better than a 75B
stop crying about the cost you dick. The shadow 2 has a better trigger, sights and balance than a stock 75
>And here we see the same man digging his own hole deeper, astounding!
That’s not a valid argument. The CZ shadow 2 is a competition tier handgun.
I wish that fk brno wasnt so lame. Their butterfly sight is awesome, and it just draws your eye straight to it.
Beats the piss out of standard LPA rears.
They're nice guns. I haven't fired one though. I've held one and it is one great feeling handgun. Trigger is pretty nice too. Not the same as my 75B. My 75B is pretty nice though.
Yeah im sure they are man but if we're talking home defense like the OP said, assuming he wasnt just being facetious, then its unnecessary
>urban
I thought gun nuts were afraid of cities, the marketing person who came up with this should be fired
This ,unless op is a competition shooter he will get no use from the upgraded Gucci CZ.
Actually its the opposite.
Urban is where you’ll need it most, and grey is the ideal urban camo for blending in with ashy combatants.
You have been told all the memes huh?
>supreme accuracy
Meh. About the same as a Glock really. Nowhere close to high end 1911/Sig.
>20.000 rounds without failure
I doubt it, they are notorious for broken trigger springs and slide stops every 5-10.000
>Trigger
It's good, but then again nowhere close to 1911 or Sig single action triggers.
>quality
Let me tell you a story about cast slides and bad finishes: The build quality is vastly inferior to a Glock slide.
>trash talking glock that hard probably without owning one
Oh okay I see, it's just a thinly veiled Glock hate thread
The thing sits squarely in "do not need" territory for me. Either a Glock is good enough with better reliability or I'd go full race with custom Sig/1911
You obviously have no idea what you’re saying. You ever held a shadow 2 bro? You ever held a perfectly fitting handgun that you are convinced God himself molded specifically for you, bro? You ever felt the balance and experienced the ergos of a shadow 2, bro? You ever felt a 5lb smooth as cock double action trigger pull with 3 pound single action follow up shots, bro? You ever shoot the dick off of a bumblebee at 30 yards with a Glock, bro? Yeah didn’t think so.
The absolute state of cz fanboys, stay delusional and thanks for the future copypasta.
>being so retarded you cant even see the obvious sarcasm
But yeah have fun with your copypasta guy
>merely pretending
Yeah whatever helps you sleep
You can get a Willy Combat 92fs or two very nice Berettas for the price of that CZ75 in lipstick. Not all the reviews for them are glowing. If you want a good Glock-clone then try a VP9 or find any other HK. The prices have come down on them to near nib civ Glock prices so there isn't much of a competition between the two for me.
No thanks. I’ll take a shadow 2 trigger and ergos over a beretta any day.
>About the same as a Glock
I've shot many Glocks and CZ's, while I haven't shot a Shadow 2, I can guarantee its more accurate than a Glock because my base model 75b is more accurate than any Glock.. The inverse rails are.a huge contributor to this. Marginally better than my P320, However would I expect a Les Bauer 1911 to be more accurate? Yeah.
>20000 rounds without failure
A bit much considering your average pistol recoil spring breaks around 15k, This is for all pistols btw
>Trigger
Better than you're typical 1911 by far. Comparative to my P320. Definitely a heavier trigger pull but not as mushy. Very subjective imp
>Cast Slides
I was under the impression all CZ slides were forged.
>glock trash talking
Not a big fan of Glocks but that's mostly due to all the memes that get spread that turn an average gun into a god. Same issue with CZ and Sig tho, at least I'm consistent.
>while I haven't shot a Shadow 2
Could have fooled me
I shoot a glock 17 and a czsp01 and the accuracy is equal. Handgun accuracy is 95% shooter and 5% gun. If you can make a shot with a cz but cant with a glock you just suck shit and cant adapt.
Then get the CZ if you're sold on them that hard?
This
Bullshit. Glocks need 600 dollars worth of upgrades to get the accuracy and trigger of a standard sp01
T. own gen 4 17 and a sp01 tactical, Id say its probably more like an 85 /15 split but this is pretty much correct. I fucking hate my glock with a passion but it shoots well, I just have to torque my wrist down to accommodate the horrendous grip angle which multiple people have told me to train around even though its exclusively a problem to glock.
You can shoot a glock fine if you practice with its garbage trigger. I am however in no way endorsing doing so.
It's a nice competition gun, but unless you absolutely need that trigger job and no firing pin block, any reason a SP-01 wouldn't fit the bill at 60% of the price.
Also, if you're coming from striker guns, you will have to put in some practice for that DA pull unless you are confortable only shooting keeping it cocked and locked.
Does anyone here actually own one of these? There's a lot of "I've heard..." type comments here.
Pros:
- Accuracy is excellent out of box. I'm not shooting this for groups regularly though, I bought it for USPSA so I can't say I've spent a significant amount of time measuring groups beyond when I was first checking the sights and such. First groups through were more than acceptable though.
- Trigger is good, but it's still a DA/SA gun so don't go expecting 1911 stuff here. If you're a supreme trigger snob you can do better, either by going to a different platform or upgrading components on this. Reset is much, much, much better than my Shadow Custom was.
- Reliability has been 100% for me, but I've only got 1-2k rounds through mine at this point so I can't speak to long term
- Ergonomics are excellent, as usual for CZ. The new style magazine release was one of the features I was most excited for. Front and backstrap checkering is more aggressive than on my Shadow Custom, which I was also very excited about.
- Weight can be either a pro or a con. For me it was very much a pro. It keeps recoil to an absolute minimum and lets the sights settle back on target much more quickly.
Cons:
- Cost
- Weight, if that's a concern for you. This thing is a BEAST. This was by design, as this is a competition oriented gun, but it will bother some people.
- Low slide height is at times difficult to manipulate. I've long since gotten used to this since shooting a Shadow Custom forever, but I know people mention it and I used to find it more of an issue.
I bought this gun very specifically as it addressed my issues with my Shadow Custom. Namely trigger reset, new style magazine release, and more aggressive front and backstrap checkering. Bonuses for me were added frame weight and lightened slide.
Just get a 75 and swiss cheese your living room dawg
Also, everyone commenting that handgun accuracy across platforms is generally similar is for the most part pretty correct. If you're not shooting out of a ransom rest, the difference between tilting barrel guns is going to be somewhere between marginal and unnoticeable to MOST PEOPLE. If you're in the upper echelon of shooters you can wring more offhand performance out of a gun, but most people can't even meet the full potential of a stock Glock. I would include myself in that, but I bought this gun not for mechanical accuracy but almost entirely for the ergos and because I'm used to 75's, not for any inherent accuracy gains.
OP, if I were in your shoes, I would buy an SP-01 Tactical. If you don't like it, sell it and try something else. If you do like it, figure out where you'd like to improve it and either send it to Cajun Gun Works or buy some bits and do it yourself.
I started out with a bone stock CZ-75B, and over time added and changed things on it until the frame itself was holding me back. Then I did the same with my Shadow, and now I'm on to a Shadow 2.
Get a Sphinx, faggot.
You would be better served by purchasing a cz-75 or sp-01 and a few thousand rounds then one shadow 2.
When are they bringing these fucking things to the US? Kriss is fucking retarded.
Please stop posting 4 cz threads at the same time.
