Dude got it second hand and it seems to not have been used that much.

>internals have a small bit of soot, but overall good and the chamber is shiny
>bore was pretty shiny
>only neglected area was gas tube
>blueing is good, rivets are good, pin for trigger housing has tiny amount of give

Iirc, I might be wrong but pre-mid 2000s WASRs were trash. Century is trash. Howver newer models have been much better because century is just importing, not building the wasr 10 and above
They are not the best quality AKs, but they aren't trash either. Sorts middle of the road. So hardcore guys will shit on it, and newer guys and more normie types like it

WASR 10 is a good budget AK. They aren't the highest quality but they are very much serviceable

I got a new AK today and the barrel pin looks kind of shallow on one side, is this a problem? like its flush on the right and a little recessed on the left.

PSAKs are barely any cheaper. If you buy a WASR, you're paying a slight premium for a gun that has its manufacturing process figured out by now. You're rolling the dice with a PSAK. Depends how badly you want to save the difference. Also muh CLHF barrels.

Century is no longer importing the WASR and instead importing the AES10b again at a near 250% mark up from last time as an extra fuck you
M+M is now importing the WASR (again, if you didnt know they were the original importers) and having the conversion done through IO, who is doing strictly import work (again) from now on and no longer producing rifles.
Which makes me nervous. On one hand their Beryl imports were fine, but on the other they couldn't install a fucking bullet guide into a Vepr.

Dose anybody here know of an AK stock that is adjustable, has a length of pull of at least 14 inches, dose not have a thumbhole, and isn't the Zhukov S? I haven't found one yet and I really don't want to have to resort to an AR buffer tube adapter.

Great middle ground AK that isn’t complete dog shit. Prices have been steadily climbing. I remember about 5 years ago these were around $500 give or take, before the slew of cheap ARs like PSA. Now they’re around $700-$800. Remember to avoid American AKs!

7.62 AK you’ll have an easier time in finding parts and furniture for. Ammo selection is better as well. Magazine prices reasonable.

5.45 AK ammo and parts harder to find. Magazine selection a lot less.

5.56 AK ammo is cheap and plentiful, harder to find parts for. Magazine selection awful.

Just get an AK in 7.62. Also if buying used AK, make sure to inspect these things

Got a new WASR, came with flame maple stock, but kitchen table looking front guards. I plan on swapping the top handguard with a grater, but I'm stumped on the lower. Any ideas?
