FL House Committees have a new gun bill on the table which will be deliberated upon tomorrow
>Firearms; Removes provisions authorizing seizure of firearms from persons in certain circumstances; removes prohibition on firearms ownership or possession until removal of firearm possession & firearm ownership disability; removes prohibition on persons younger than 21 years of age purchasing firearms; eliminates waiting period for purchases of firearms other than handguns; removes ban on bump-fire stocks; removes provisions providing for risk protection orders.
I still don't get why Republicans added all this shit into the school safety bill. The only thing I can think of is that Rick Scott wanted to pass it to help his senate campaign.
Jason Johnson
Basically, and he still almost lost. He's a faggot and I hope you Floridans get your rights back.
Zachary Moore
good luck Florida Bros
Henry Morris
Because he's the poster child of the GOP: Extremely anti-4th amendment, pro blue wall, poses with an over/under when it comes time for campaigning. I can't believe I actually voted for this faggot. There's not a chance in hell this will actually pass but before this gets destroyed I want to say for the record that Mike Hill is unironically Jow Forums's very own based nigger. Actually suggesting legislation to undo gun laws made after a shooting exactly one year ago. At the bare minimum I hope ERPOs go.
As much as I want this to pass, I know it probably wont considering half of our (((Republican))) representatives are completely pussified. None the less, I emailed my representatives and even called them. I know my locals are GOP but will still probably vote against it considering they voted for this shit. Just remember who votes for what and remember they have names.
We won't fellow Pinellas fag. Still a federal ban. Where are you shooting at? I've been driving up to Reload to visit my NFA gear.
Jackson Murphy
I have no hope for this seeing how it was a republican majority that passed these laws in the first place.
Jayden Cooper
Correct, however... It was also an entirely republican controlled government that needed to be re-elected, so it is not out of the realm of possibility that no one cares anymore.
Jackson Allen
321 here, supplying all the big dick energy I have for this bill.
954 reporting Daily reminder that Rick Scott is a traitor
Caleb Ward
sending energy fellow floridanons
what do y'all think about the 2020 asoolt weapons ban? I go to FSU and see people lining up to sign it on campus daily, very worried pussy republicans in this state will cuck us all
>lining up Is it that bad already? The petitionfags at FSU just never take a break >one sees me outside Strozier >just saw the electricity petition guy like 5 minutes ago >tell them they talked to me already (I'm not signing shit without reading it first since midterm elections were nothing but logrolling) >"Ay nah mane this one's to ban a salt raifus" >"...I'm set" >keep walking
Sending positive waves down South. How's it going Florida bros? Is La Goblina making a bug stink on the anniversary of the Goblinacaust or are have they finally fucked off?
Jack Ramirez
Did you guys see this shit they're trying to get on the 2020 ballot? That faggot hogg was screeching about it on TV the other day
With felons allowed to vote next election, Florida will be a deep blue boy.
Justin Ramirez
>"The measure would define military-style firearms as "any gun with a magazine capacity of more than seven rounds of ammunition..."
what, so almost every .22 target pistol becomes a military style weapon? this level of cuck is unbelievable. kinda feeling Cruz should have nabbed 19, not 17
Ryder Martin
Such a shame with that bill.
Jackson Cruz
I called my reps to hold a vote on it.
Liam Gutierrez
>putting all that shit on one bill It's almost like they want it to fail. >no waiting period on long guns there's no fucking way, either your Reps are retarded (of course they are) or they have an ulterior motive for voting on it.
Noah Hernandez
I agree, you in the Tallahassee campus? I see those thyme of people all the time outside the capital building.
John Stewart
Who pays them? they're fucking AGGRESSIVE lol
Talked to one the other day near the Integration Statue and told him I wasn't gonna sign and e says
>WE ARENT TRYING TO BAN ALL GUNS JUST THE BAD ONES MAN
tried to explain to him how insane that statement was and how this literally wouldn't do shit but disarm potential law abiding citizens and he just shrugged and said he was just doing his job
>Who pays them? they're fucking AGGRESSIVE lol Bloomberg, Soros, and other (((concerned individuals)))
Joseph Ross
If I could pass any constitutional amendment, I'd pass one that says no law intended as a response to a mass tragedy can be passed until at least six months after that tragedy. Passing bills in the heat of emotion right after some big, bad thing happens is how we get shitty laws like the Patriot Act and the post-Parkland new Florida gun laws. There needs to be a cooling-off period before we do stuff like that - and literally a waiting period before passing new gun laws.
Juan Bell
We only voted for him because the other guy was Scott but 5x worse and a traitor
Christopher Miller
>The measure would also prohibit persons from possessing any firearm if the person had (a) been convicted of a felony... (d) been subject to two or more domestic abuse emergency calls or investigations; (e) been diagnosed by a medical professional as psychologically disturbed; or (f) made any substantiated threat of violence against another person
These parts seem okay, but it's nowhere near justifying the rest of it. They're literally trying to repeal the 2nd Amendment starting with Florida.
I had that exact same thing happen at UCF. Told the guy I own a business manufacturing them and he can shove that petition up his ass.
Zachary Jones
That one actually doesn't touch pistols. New Dracos and AR pistols would technically be legal even if the actual rifles weren't, because '“handgun” means a firearm capable of being carried and used by one hand, such as a pistol or revolver.'
Brody Walker
I got to UNF and had a chat with a very fat one. I had a great greentext for it but I think it's gone now due to all the trap/tranny threads clogging up everything.
Regardless, aside from me doing my best not to laugh in the guy's face when he told me about the assault weapons ban, I also found out they only get laid per signature. So if you wonder why they are so aggressive, it's because their paycheck is dependent on it pretty much.
Lmao they want to make it so you loose your guns if you get a speeding ticket
Robert Carter
Convenient how you left C out of that green text isn’t it kike
Gavin Lewis
jesus fucking christ florida bros have you guys thought about wiping out all the jews yet? pretty sure that will solve all your problems or in a few years >people who have served 3 years active duty in the war against iran will be the only ones allowed to purchase firearms >these firearms will be limited to calibers under .25
If that goes through I may fucking leave the state. I've grown up here my whole life but honestly something like that passing signifies that the state is going down the shitter and not just in regards to guns
Jaxon King
While I plan on fighting, donating, and joining any organizations doing so, I'm getting everything in order to move out.
Not to be a debbie downer about it, but I think it may be a lost cause with the northeastern, PR, and other transplants.
Gabriel Wilson
>Goyim Arms My new favorite manufacturer.
Owen Scott
Because Florida repubs still think they can be competitive in South Florida and Orange county. The issue is our faggot governor imported hundreds of thousands of Puerto ricans straight from their socialist island and the whole Cubans are Republicans thing is only true with boomer age Cubans. They are trying to compete with Dems and Scott is a spineless fag. It basically sums up Florida politicians in a nutshell.
Same, I just get tired of the fuddery real quick. They won't even let me go to the back and chrono my handgun rounds.
Justin Peterson
Where y’all 850 bros shoot
Asher Nelson
I recently read the ERPO law text, and holy shit how did this ever get through.
Disregarding the ex-parte lack of due process, here are the reasons why they can issue one:
>A recent act or threat of violence by the respondent against himself or herself or others >An act or threat of violence by the respondent within the past 12 months >Evidence of the respondent being seriously mentally ill or having recurring mental health issues. >A violation by the respondent of a risk protection order or a no contact order issued under s. 741.30, s. 784.046, or s. 784.0485. >A previous or existing risk protection order issued against the respondent. >A violation of a previous or existing risk protection order issued against the respondent. >Whether the respondent, in this state or any other state, has been convicted of, had adjudication withheld on, or pled nolo contendere to a crime that constitutes domestic violence as defined in s. 741.28. >Whether the respondent has used, or has threatened to use, against himself or herself or others any weapons. >The unlawful or reckless use, display, or brandishing of a firearm by the respondent. >The recurring use of, or threat to use, physical force by the respondent against another person or the respondent stalking another person. >Whether the respondent, in this state or any other state, has been arrested for, convicted of, had adjudication withheld on, or pled nolo contendere to a crime involving violence or a threat of violence. >Corroborated evidence of the abuse of controlled substances or alcohol by the respondent. >Evidence of recent acquisition of firearms or ammunition by the respondent. >Any relevant information from family and household members concerning the respondent. >Witness testimony, taken while the witness is under oath, relating to the matter before the court.
Jason Ward
>if you violate a restraining order >if you have a restraining order >if you ever had a restraining order seems kind of redundant >evidence of buying guns or ammo what the fuck >because somebody said so, as long as they're under oath at the time bruh
Christopher Harris
Half of the things there already make that person a prohibited person, so there is no need for an ERPO in that case, the rest are like literally WTF.
>buying guns is a reason to take your guns Start stacking bodies, florida bros
Jace Lee
How did a republican fucking governor with a republican fucking senate and house sign this shit when they refused an AWB?
Easton Perez
I still like to run up to Hernando Sportsman's Club. South end of Pinellas here. Shoot Straight for indoor.
Austin Price
They were busy trying to appease all the jews from South Florida. That's why they passed the 21 age raise along with armed teachers. No one was happy with that bill. T. Assmad 18 year old zoomer who can't buy shit on his own.
Luke Powell
Haven't heard of the former. I can't stand the clearwater shoot straight. The place is falling apart, lanes barely work, A/C didn't work, no 100 yard lane. Reload is much nicer but the prices on everything but NFA transfers are crazy. $250 10/22s, no thanks. Wyoming Antelope club is great but absolute fudd central; I'm pretty sure if I show up with my suppressed AR I'll get yelled at.
Not going to pass thanks to the false flag shooting
Isaiah Bell
Native Florida son in exile from the bump stock ban reporting. I weep on what has become of my home state. If I stayed I would be a felon by legislation, now I’m a Cop working in North Carolina. This isn’t right
Really fuzzy definitions. Any rifle as military-style firearms or "sniper rifle". Since most bolt actions rifles can be a "sniper rifle" it's a sneaky total ban chance.
>>The measure would also prohibit persons from possessing any firearm if the person had (a) been convicted of a felony; (b) been convicted of three or more misdemeanors; (c) his or her driver's license revoked for driving under the influence, reckless driving, or excessive speeding; (d) been subject to two or more domestic abuse emergency calls or investigations; (e) been diagnosed by a medical professional as psychologically disturbed; or (f) made any substantiated threat of violence against another person.
Felony already there why have it on list? to make everything following it seem reasonable.
Loud at a couple of Parties, Get a ticket for leaving a bar drunk, Loitering! Terrible Crimes that should mean No Guns for You! Woo hoo speeding ticket No guns for You! Two or more DV investigations... even if you did no wrong... No Guns for You! Psychologically disturbed in what way? Insomnia could make it No Guns for You! "You kids get off my lawn! I'll kick your ass if you trash my yard again!" ... No Guns for You! (even verbal outbursts could count...)
Charles Sanchez
You should come to a Jow Forums meet, talk to someone who's sympathetic to civil liberties, or look into 80% builds. I was 20 when the law passed; I already had an AR built, a few rifles, and bought handguns after I turned 21 anyway.
You'll be a felon in a month thanks to trump, anyway.
Brayden Ramirez
He should ask a relative to buy one for him, a pistol requires 21 years of age.
Nolan Moore
Posting pure Cracker energy to overturn yankee skeletor laws
Samuel Phillips
>no waiting period on long guns literally to fuck the kikes who passed county level ordinances to make there be a waiting period in broward dad and palm beach counties for longarms. >it never stopped me before, I just drove to the west coast, did some fishing, bought a rifle cash and carry.
The rest of the state is georgia with better weather, property taxes, no state income tax, and until the republican fucking traitors in tallahassee voted in that last (((compromise))) bill based gun laws. If they don't fix it now, there won't be an incumbent with an (R) in the next election.
Xavier Stewart
Bay County range. It’s not great but it’s alright
Colton Price
lol they'll pass this shit too
Austin Parker
It will pass so you may as well pack your bags now.
Brayden Flores
You pricks have about 1 year and 9 months to get some serious ground game and take more people shooting.
If you're not actively working to use your spare time to take non-gun-owners, especially URBANITES, shooting, you are fucking yourself and the rest of us.
I've taken 3 people so far just this year, and plan to invite 3-4 more in the coming week. All receive instruction and leave with big old smiles.
PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TAKE NORMIES OUT AND LET THEM SHOOT YOUR AR-15. TEACH THEM HOW TO USE IT, SHOW THEM IT ISN'T SOME HORRIFIC THING IN AND OF ITSELF.
Andrew Roberts
anyone near daytona wanna go shoot at volusia gun and hunt club next wednesday?
Benjamin Jackson
I'm way the fuck out near the Pinellas/Clearwater line. I've gone out of my way to meet people in the past but 2.5 hours is a bit much for me.
