Late 1980s to the turn of the millennium law enforcer looks were top aesthetically pleasing. I dare you to prove me wrong.
Been looking for inspirational footage of the ~1990s police and SWAT gear, but that's proven to be kinda challenging even with Google. It always brings back modern tacticool millennial cops with military surplus equipment. Going through the old movies and TV series is kinda pain in the ass, but they tend to have the best footage.
This goes slightly beyond the desired time frame, but just had to include it. Some ~Vietnam War era copsters, running in flak jackets and steel pots. Pump action 12ga was clearly the weapon of choice.
My family used to have such Mercedes back in the day. Yeah, they're not exactly sporty by any stretch of imagination. More like posh vehicles to show off, with Diesel engines that just won't die, not even after 2 million miles.

Mercedes were not supposed to feel like a "fun" car that was exactly what they were going for.
>late 1940s movie >gangsters losing power >some wop holed up in a 2nd floor balcony with a tommy gun >coppers fine him >hes fucking the coppers up with a tommy gun >lt irish mctaggert says get the squad car >expect a car full of micks with their own tommy guns >its a convertable car with fucking 2 lewis guns on the front >fuck up the brick walls and kill the wop >movie ends
What a great movie and great way of taking care of guinea wops.
