Welding-fitting. I can blow my savings on guns because I'll kick the bucket before reaching retirement age
It's a win-win situation

how old are you user? Any arising health issues? Do you have some benefits at least?

Minimum wage goes a long way when everything else is paid for by your parents

Intel analyst in the Air Force. For a long time I was making E-4 pay living in a cheap apartment with full BAH. Pretty much zero cost of living, no car payment cause I'm driving the same old car my mom bought me almost a decade ago. Smartened up a while ago and bought a house and a new car and started putting a good amount into my TSP every month. Have about 13k in the bank now, was 20k before I bought my house and car.

By spending my rent and food money on guns and ammo and begging mommy to make up the difference.

Hell yeah take advantage of those benefits man

New to me. It's a 2007 Rav4 so it's not like I went and bought a fucking mustang or something retarded. It gets better gas mileage than my old truck and holds more shit.

27 and no, not really
It's just that welders don't exactly have the greatest life expectancy

Corporate security. Doesn't pay a fortune, but can go a looooong way if you can budget and appreciate the little things in life.

Security gigs in general are a great entry-level job for people with no work experience and poor social skills. If your state has a licensing scheme (most do) there will usually be more jobs than license holders so there will always be work. You can fuck around and job hop, so if you get fired at one place or don't like another it's easy to go somewhere more suited to your preferences and needs.

If you don't have to drive on dirt trails to get to work SUVs are more retarded than mustangs, and I hate mustangs.

You draw furry stuff to pay for guns? That is pretty Jow Forums I guess.

SUVs are kind of nice. Even if all you use the ground clearance for is to drive over curbs in a parking lot.

Ground clearance if a fucking meme. My shitbox car has gone through worse than my clapped out truck ever could.

USPS, solid work with decent benefits if you are willing to deal with dumb bullshit. (early on, my hours were just weekends, as a casual mail handler, maybe 2 a night thur-fri. its god, reliable income if you know how to twist the right gears.

t. college fag

>Rav4
>SUV
It's got a four cylinder engine and gets up to 25mpg on the highway. Plus it handles the ice and snow way better than my rear wheel drive pickup truck, while getting significantly better MPG, and I have a ton of internal storage space now.
>tldr you're a dumb fag

I don't own any nice guns.
They are all dirty and used looking from being shot.

>but it's a 4 banger!
being a homosexual suv still means it's an suv and 25mpg highway was good in 1980, that's seriously sad for a 4 popper
you also need driving lessons if you can't hack it with a rear wheel drive in snow

Angry lil' feller, ain't ya?

Started at a dead end job/temp. And helped out the mechanics at work. I'm very mechanically inclined. Ended up getting hired on was making minimum wage I think 7.50/hr now make 25/hr with tons of OT. I try to keep my buying to 1 gun a month. Also I live in a cuck state so I'm stuck to only 1 handgun every 30 days..

Nice Paws!

Software developer
People always meme about it being some high paying job but it's just okay. I think part of it is that cost of living here is skyrocketing like mad because of shitheads flooding the state, while salaries and wages aren't able to keep up.

im in the Army, i dont have friends so i dont go out, and since i dont need to pay for rent and food i literally spend $2,000 a month on new guns and video games

bicycle mechanic making 13/hr here. gun budget is about $300 a month. tried to get work at a machine shop since that can pay a bit more once you get experienced. no luck yet though. any other tradespeople on Jow Forums? or are all tradespeople low-iq boomers with punisher glocks?

>are all tradespeople low-iq boomers with punisher glocks?
yes. any high-iq tradesman goes into business for himself, partners optional

I own two businesses. One is a payday loan establishment, the other I won't say.

Shlomo Shekelberg pls go

Unironically "learned to code" in college; work as a software engineer in Silicon Valley and make ~150K/year out of college. There's a surprising number of engineers who like guns - that interest in "tinkering" for things like gaming PCs or Raspberry Pis often translates very well over to firearms.

The laws here suck, but the massive amount of coin I make lets me get nice guns and compensate for the inflated transfer fees here ($25 background check for the state, $30-$50 dealer fees for each gun, sales tax if it comes from a dealer).

Firefighter/EMT. I was working part time as a firefighter/EMT and full time municipal EMS but recently lost that job. Had almost $2k per month to spend on guns. So now its back to accessories I guess.

Storage space is really important if you're not a virgin neet. I honestly don't know why you fags even come here.

Settle down, friend. Maybe you need some money to go out to the town to have a good time? Well, you're in luck! At a mere 600% APR, I'm willing to extend all the money you'll need!

Currently have a shitty factory job making 2500-3000 a month but I set myself up to only have to pay $800 a month on bills so the rest goes into savings/buying funs

I think there are 2 types of software guys.
Type 1 likes the logical and tinkering aspects of it and tend to like guns. They also seem to lean conservative or at least moderate.
Type 2 likes the money or being "the future" and are all extreme libs, and also tend to not be as good of developers but end up being successful because they have better people skills.
>$150k though
I wish I could make nearly that much where I am, but I guess that's the tradeoff for living in California.

It’s the same 4 cylinder they put in the Camry (I think) but in a much heavier body. This amount of butthurt over a rav4 is honestly really strange.

I can drive my truck fine in the snow. It’s objectively icely easier and safer to drive a front wheel drive vehicle in the snow and ice.

It's what I do, though my pay is pretty shit. I work over nights alone, in a high crime area, unarmed, and I'm a supervisor. Get tons of overtime though, no one wants to work here, and with that, I get guns.

>Silicon Valley and make ~150K/year
Whats it like being at the poverty line?

Pretty good, considering I'm single. The 117K poverty line meme for the SF Bay Area only applies to those with families.

If I had a stay-at-home wife and two kids, then I'd have severely curtailed all my firearms-related purchases and focused on supporting them.

In all honesty I was more of a humanities guy growing up, but being able to write and recognize good prose translated somehow well into writing and recognizing good (I hope lmao) code. I'd be lying if money (especially good money that doesn't need years in grad school, unlike medicine or law) wasn't part of it, though.

More or less agree on the two types of software guys, though. But I would say shrill leftists can be great devs, I'll give them that. Trump hate is very popular around the office. I voted for the Orange Man, but I keep that fact on the down low - I legit believe that it would affect my professional advancement and I don't want to give people the excuse to think "user fucked up; no wonder; he voted for BLOWTARD GRUMPFELSHITSKIN" every time I make a mistake.

I'm a NEET but my grandma sends me a few grands every now and then

>i literally spend $2,000 a month on new guns and video games
If you play on PC I recommend you just torrent shit if you want

Aerial survey.

Cyber security. I work 3 month rotations overseas and make 125k a year

Not even joking, how do you collect any of that interest considering the people who get payday loans are broke to begin with?

Stop that user. Save your money instead of being like every other dumbass boot

yeah ill probably start saving up starting next month, i still need to buy a new gaming PC

No you dont need to buy anything else
Start saving now

>How does Jow Forums afford nice guns? What careers/choices did you guys choose?
Honestly all of my guns were inherited or gifted to me. I only ever pad for ammo and the occasional accessory.
I'm a PhD student, modern history. I get enough money o live off my scholarship, but I actually make a lot of cash off private lessons. It honestly boggles my mind that kids need help learning history or literature, but hey to each his own issues.

Well, they have to have a job to apply for loans. If they don't pay, we will RAPE their credit rating. Also, we will auto-withdraw from their bank account. If they have insufficient funds to cover the loan + interest, they will be additionally bashed by an insufficient funds charge by their bank. After a while of not being able to secure payment from the client (60-100 days in general), the debt will be sold to another company that specializes in collecting debt (much less than nice). Then the deadbeats will know what hell really is. Most clients pay without hassle though, since they want to be able to continually pay off a loan, then re-borrow every paycheck.

Uhhh... you should be saving money to actually start a life after you get discharged.

If you're anything like my country's loansharks, most likely a brothel where female debtors discharge their debt.

PMC medic

Oh, and firemarshals. You want to see a powertripping asshole? Go talk to a local firemarshal in a town with a pop. under 10,000. I swear, it's like the less power someone actually has over other people the more likely they are to abuse it.

Wear a respirator when you can brah and do your stretches, wait for the faggot boomers who’ll talk shit to die, I plan on not dying at 60 as a pipewelder

I'm going to school now for CS and intern for a household name company, how'd you get the overseas part?

Working for DoD. Security clearance and deployments

Autism bux

Union carpenter apprentice. My second year out of hs I pulled in 85k. Mostly just became a carpenter to build Scaffold in the big bombs like oil refineries and nuclear facilities. That and to give Pipefitters shit.

This anons
got the right idea, the company pays you to take care of yourself, take care of yourself.

Wait, I can get paid for my autism?

Oy vey.

Wear your PPE, you fucking smokemonster.

I'm chair force cyber security, getting out in like 2 years. where do you work bro I want in.

Then don't stick your fucking face in the smoke.

Software engineer living with parents. Making 110K+

I work for Leidos but theres a handful of companies with DoD contracts you can get on. I recommend bigger companies as they have better perks and salaries. Look at SAIC, Leidos, General Dynamics, Vectrus

>making 110k
>living with parents
Jew, autistic, or living in a liberal shithole where a shoebox costs a million dollars?

I drove trucks over the road for a few years and made okay money, now I drive a lot less for a pipeline service company and make really decent money. I'm currently stockpiling skills so I can apply at one of the gas companies I've worked with as an equipment operator, then I'll make bank. Downside is I'm never home to shoot my funs.

Jew autist, live in a red state

I work a trade job and make $42/hr plus benefits.

Also get up to 24K bonus based on performance, never going to see that much of it though

Work in foreign affairs making shit pay for years until I went to the US and started working in the private sector lobbying 3rd world politicians for 230k a year. Spend 5 month à year out of the country so no gf but can buy a bunch of funs

How is driving for a pipeline? I've always heard the pay is great but they work you like a dog. I've got a CDL A and might be looking for something new soon.

Young lawyer here. At general practice firm. This job and going through law school has rather quickly turned me into a white nationalist. Be careful, or this profession will fill you with hate and disgust depending on what law you get into or what clients you deal wrh.

So is the air force actually using vr to train people or was op image a once-off?

North Carolina?

Work in IT. Mid-level analyst.

CO

Oh don't worry, going to college in a large East Coast urban center has already filled my heart to the brim with hate.

Jesus christ how terrifying

I'm studying Actuary
Pls someone tell me it's not a meme ;_;

North Carolina is getting the same way. So fuck off we're seriously full now.

lawyer, run own firm mainly crim defense. I have a shit load of guns and almost all my clients own guns legally or illegally. Getting together with fellow attorneys this week to discuss creative options to sue the gaytf

Accountant/Auditor

I don't recommend it

Likely to be replaced by computer algorithms/10

Work in IT for an MSP. Make ~$22/hr. Haven't bought a gun in a long time, I think it's time for some new shit. I saw AIM Surplus has new Tula's in stock, and I never owned a 91/30, only the M44. I might just do that after my vegas trip.

My rent is low, so I bought a brand new car. Ultimately I have about $400 left over at the end of the month I usually save.

Should've stayed in the navy ;_;

Janitor at a hospital. 22 an hour with no real training or schooling for it, great Benny's. Job is stupid fuck easy too.

Wagie at grocery store, so I only have a few cheap guns. At least I've got $40k saved, not bad for 18.

Healthcare Consultant in a Pain Management firm , also have my massage therapist license that I actively use, last year I made 22k part time and the cash tips are great . Also met tons of beautiful women and interesting people like that, great job if you're /fit, heath conscious nit autistic but don't want to spend 100k on school loans. I'm also still actively engaged in my guard unit and have a pending VA claim from being in shitastiztan. My wife just finished school so we have combined incomes and we both love funs so yeah, lifes good.

I still live with my parents, work for the family business, and use a company truck. Despite owning and selling two separate homes (as investments, never moved in), and having a bunch of NFA items and multiple Garands and AKs and ARs and pistols and matching long barreled $1,000 Smith and Wessons... it all just feels so shallow. I just work, drink, jack off, and play video games. I don't even know what I want to do, because if I had a goal at least that'd be something to work towards.

Holy shit, good job on that saving mentality. You'll do well when you get a career that you prefer.

I call bullshit on an 18 year old having 40k...I’m willing to bet he fucked up and meant 4k

Very doubtful about all that. Who gave you the majority of the money?

Getting a trade job and staying home for as long as possible. I started working right out of high school (carpentry), and so far I've got a good amount into guns, a project car as well, and I'm only 20.

How'd you get that job?
Travelling and manipulating third worlders sounds based af

I worked summers and on-and-off since 12 years old, with my parents putting it in a college fund. It's not that unheard of, because I think I had about 60k (pre 2008 crash).

Armed security guard for trains earn more than some cops and went from active duty to reserves and hop on orders for extra cash on occasion
>mfw the company pays me 4hrs of pay to shoot for 20-30mins for qual every 3months sometimes 2 times in two months because they fuck up
>mfw when moving to a comfy federal LEO jobs because of resume from both .mil and security job and do less and get paid more

I don't work directly for a pipeline, I haul around ILI equipment. I rarely actually work but I'm in a hotel 250+ days a year.

From what I've seen and heard from the employees at the various pipeline, you can get worked a lot, they have a 16 hour cap on their days and they aren't require to follow DOT so you can work long days for weeks, but that's only if there's a major project going on and most of the companies seriously push safety so you mainly work during daylight. Pay is good to great, good benefits, and it's really not hard work. In my experience, if the job calls for 2 people to do there will be at least 3 people working on it. That said I still wouldn't want to do it in South Texas or Louisiana, but there are stations from there all the way up to Maine.
