Will the army take me if I have bad motor tics?

Can I join the Navy if I have scalp psoriasis?

My family has a long military tradition going back to the Civil War, and I'd like to keep it going. I have a degree in a maritime field and I would like to join the Navy and go through OCS so I can put in a few years of service before working commercial.

But I read that psoriasis is an automatic disqualification from the military for some reason. I only have it on my scalp and it isn't noticeable as long as I treat it. So will I be able to get away with lying about it? Are you allowed to have your own non-prescription medications (like the shampoos and stuff I use on my scalp to keep it clear) in the military? If I get found out, will they seriously kick me out because I have some dry skin on my scalp?

I don't even understand why that's a disqualification. They let in literal faggots, trannies, and fatasses and yet somehow the Pentagon considers me ineligible because I have a purely cosmetic skin condition.

>last thing osama sees
If the soldier needed nods then all osama saw was a dark shadow.

>Are you allowed to have your own non-prescription medications (like the shampoos and stuff I use on my scalp to keep it clear) in the military?
Yeah but not in like training environments like boot camp or OCS typically

So what, will I just need to keep my cover on as much as possible to avoid anyone seeing it? It's not very noticeable with my normal haircut but I'm assuming you have to get buzzed when going through OCS and they'll definitely be able to see it then.

Well I assume they'll be able to see once your hair is buzzed, but everyone's scalps looks awful after those buzzes, they look like abused scrotums. The barbers are terrible and fuck up everyone's scalps.

photo in OP is hilariously misleading. your time in the military will be boring and anticlimactic. you've been warned.

you could probably just see a doc before and ask him what it(your problem) could be since it appeared like a few days ago,you may get away with it

Where in the military will I find high IQ people?

Air Force

Join intel to find a bunch of really really really smart people doing really really really dumb shit

what if come buzzed?

Security forces would like a word with you

What’s the USMC like?

What do if I want a highly technical job? Got my information systems degree but no jobs fuck me

Typically the people I’ve met that became Secuorty Forces were autistic nerds who wanted to be cool guy infantry but still wanted to be known as smart

>Secuorty Forces
Secfo is filled with absolute retards who want people to think they're smart because Air Force, but also want people to think they're badass because they carry guns, but in all reality they're mouth breathing retards who check ID's all day guarding a gate and still manage to fuck that up.

Have you been diagnosed with bad motor tics by a medical professional?

Accepted into Army Street to Seat WOFT and currently DEPping. AMA.

Pilots. Go Army Warrant.

Apparently a lot of states have their own state specific defense force, has anybody even heard of this? It seems to be related to the National Guard and they can't operate over state lines. Wtf lol

Attached: C1tWGhxUUAAhHhw.jpg (1200x675, 115K)

It's a state funded LARP, even more of a LARP than CAP

Depends on your MOS, unit, and rank.

Things I can guarantee: dip, monster, mandatory training, field day, and learning to overcome douchebags.

has anyone made a jump from navy to cg? after their ct ended thinking about it since leaving navy last year

Join the Air Force, America's hardcore fighting force

every time I watch cam footage all I ever hear is bullshit chatter over coms instead of actual direction in the battlespace
"fuuuuck, is that an rpg?"
"dude is.... dude's RIGHT FUCKING THERE MAN! FUCK! yea! behind that dirt wall!"
"oh shit! he's shooting!"

Why is it so hard to maintain basic radio discipline? Scares the fuck outta me that these people are no better than your average pre-teen ARMA shitter.

Is it equally hard to have a family in every branh or are some branches worse? Excluding CG, ANG and NG.

What's the most dank career in law enforcement? U.S Marshal? Deputy U.S marshal? Texas Rangers? FBI? State trooper? Local PD? Highway patrol? Mounted police?

Can anyone here tell me about 1371?

Depends on your job, station, and command within a branch. Finance fucks and the like will have an easier time raising a family than grunts or shift workers

What would you like to know about the Battle of Maritsa?

What about 0300, I’m heading to MEPS next week

My bad zoggy

Kek
I’ve only met one Army Pilot in my life, and he nonstopped played Chevelle - The Red in his Niagara Falls tourism helicopter

I am completely obsessed with digital sleuthing and true crime and its been a lifelong dream of mine to glow in the dark. Which one of these AFSCs has the highest chance of getting me there? Are there any others not listed which might also interest me? I need to know which one I should prioritize when I roll for a career.
1N4X1B - Network Intelligence Analyst
1A8X2 - Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Operator
3D0X3 - Cyber Surety
1N0X1 - Operations Intelligence Specialist
1N2X1A/C - Signals Intelligence Analyst
9S100 – Scientific Applications Specialist Is kind of out there but was recommended to me by a mentor of mine with previous air force experience because of my MAGE scores and what he saw me as happier doing. For anyone wondering I have straight 99s with only one 98, although I've been told that anything past a specific cutoff in the 70s is pointless. I've pretty much been at this all day scrutinizing the a list of ASFCs and endless testimonies. Want to know what Jow Forums thinks since I trust you guys to be real.

Air Force is for people that THINK they're smart and were told they were smart by their mommies

Coast Guard (and some rates in the Navy) are where the actual smart people can be found.

Don't know about the 1Ns, but avoid 3D0X3, its a watered down version of the other 3Ds.

SIGINT is great but I'm pretty sure it isn't what you're looking for (aka digital sleuthing), and I'm pretty sure cyber surety just does like info audits.

I got a 131 gt score
pretty proud of myself, which is such an unfamiliar feeling that it's uncomfortable

Go for 0341 or 0311, less gear to hump and more time for spades.

0331 is a fantastic way to kill you back and knees.

Go for Recon or MARSOC as soon as you can. Until then, keep your boot mouth shut, learn what wisdom you can for your seniors, avoid going into debt on stupid shit like booze, strippers, fads, and cars.

You could swap the personnel from Navy vessels with employees in Kmart and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

>go recon or MARSOC
No user, don't do it. Go 0352.

I thought youdont get to choose whether you become a rifleman or a mortarman or whatever?

After a few hikes they'll take your wish list. If your ASVAB score isnt complete shit and you haven't fallen out they'll take you in.

>and some rates in the Navy

Reading comprehension sure is a bitch, huh?

No but it's a little bit difficult to hide if that's what you mean

Nice, is 0311 the best? I don’t want to be a mortarman

0311 is basic bitch rifleman. Unless you can skate like a god you'll still get fucked. I say go 0352, guaranteed weapons platoon where you ride on top of a humvee and never hike in the field. Unless you platoon LT hates you.

if I take propranolol before meps will it show up on the drug test

i have self harm scars from being an edgy teenager that arent really visible. i wanna go air force. what do

What do 0352s do Against enemy infantry? Like, what did they do in like Fallujah and shit? Are they just like the riflemen?
Probably, ask your doctor about it
Of you think you could get away lying about it, do it

youre not gonna tell me some shit about "being a disgrace to the armed forces" or some faggot shit? nice.

Attached: 1525694268395.jpg (334x506, 42K)

i'm guessing you also lied to your parents about them so just don't stop lying

No, don’t listen to those fags. I understand their reasoning of why they don’t want dudes with issues in the military, but to me if you’re not currently suffering from it now then you’re good. Also pro tip: if they do somehow notice the scars, say there from cat scratches

they never saw them or brought it up, i used to wear short sleeve t shirts all the time and still do. im also not a fake depressed teenager anymore

then say you fell on a grate when you were younger and the wounds scared simple just never tell anyone you used to cut

The infallible truths of military service

Fuck nigga, go consult google for a few.

i have a very huge noticeable scar on both sides of my arm from surgery. had plates in my arm when i was younger. dq?

Show pic

Asked this in a shitposting thread so I figure I'll have better luck here-

I'm putting my shit together for RASP as an 11B in the 82nd. Been in for about 2 years. How hard am I going to be shit on/hazed for not being born in batt? Not really scared of it, but I'm 26 years old and I can't recover as fast as those 19 year old kids can. Most of the rangers I've met were all 20-22 years old, but I haven't met that many.

get a fishbone tattoo to cover it up

If they are super visible and on your forearms you are probably fucked buddy. Mine were on my shoulder and I just burned over them with the bottom of a hot frying pan and then told the MEPs docs I had accidently hit my shoulder on a hot bike muffler while working on a car in a shop. Start putting scar ointment on them now and wait a few months maybe years. If they seem them it's an instant dq for life my guy. Play it smart if u really want this.

Literally think of any pants on head retarded excuse that you can. They will know what self harm scars look like but won't dq you unless you admit to having done it. Burden of proof that they aren't self inflicted falls on you. Get a family Dr to right a little paper lying for you or something. Be clever or just wait for an actual war to break out.

Attached: 1550032607077.jpg (473x390, 21K)

I asked this in the other thread but just wanted to confirm, so a MG contract being security/guard with the usmc is total dog shit? Is there anyway i can just go Infantry?

That’s pretty bad man, just get a waiver

This rang true for me. They fucking know what they are, but if you lie about it, it's their call to pass you or not. I told the doc that my kitten wasn't declawed and had quite an aggressive personality, and this dude (who had a Special Forces tab) looked me straight in the eyes and asked "Are you fit to serve", I confidently said yes, and he approved me.

So really, just don't spill your spaghetti.

Are the reserves even worth it?

Make up some shit, say you got in a car accident or something. You will almost definitely not get a permanent DQ unless you fess up to it, they might doubt you and try to break you but in the end they're probably gonna throw up their hands.

Waivers exist to protect your health.

So I got a 94 on my ASVAB and I have no idea what I want to do. Apparently I can choose from almost any MOS, but I really just want something where I can work somewhat individually away from mouthbreathers. The 35 series are my top picks currently, but are there any other MOS's I should look at?

35 is your best bet, N/S top tier, F/M are dirty pieces of shit. P is IET hell and will never actually use their language. T isn't real intel.

Isn't USAF Security Forces the single largest AFSC in the military?

i.e. most airmen are Security Forces

Attached: 1000w_q95.jpg (1000x667, 208K)

Waivers exist when you got in under dubious circumstances. The military didn't give you diabetes, you fat cookie-eating bastard.

350F here.

Yes. Depends on what youre trying to do in life.

Whats with all the 35N/S hype lately?

Also you forgot to mention the best intel job, 35L. But i guess wearing civ clothes 80% of career and auto promoted to e5 after AIT doesnt appeal to you?

Its cause they wanted a combat job without being in combat.

Im taking the marines PLC this summer. Is it worth it to become an officer? Or should i just to the plc for the fuck of it?

It’s worth it if you can put up with all the rah rah bullshit and games. By the time you make captain less than half of the folks in your OCS platoon will still be in. Making sure the green weenie doesn’t get the boys is one of the more rewarding parts of peace time Marine Corps.

Im putting in a lateral transfer from the Navy. Got any tips?

Is interacting with military women still as dangerous as it was during the Obama era?

Attached: 1550665898037.png (500x747, 620K)

I'm going to do it, /meg/. I'm going to enlist as guaranteed aptitude in the usaf.

>guaranteed aptitude
Nice, Administrative?

Still deciding between electronic and mechanical.

Is it true that Air Force has a community college that you can work towards an Associate’s Degree in before you’re out?

Does any other branch have something that tops that?

Attached: 07BEB49E-B7DE-49EA-9455-BE8012FF63C8.jpg (640x527, 61K)

Army 68W vs Navy Hospital Corpsman? I know you'll never make rank in the navy but is it a better life?

Yes. No.

All branches can use the CCAF, as per the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act. So branch doesn't matter. They accept records from TRADOC, United States Marine Corps Training and Education Command, and NETC.

>you'll never make rank in the navy
Only if you aren't competitive.

How do I use my voice to make my men respect me?

youtube.com/watch?v=Q5HKZ4JTI1Q

Need advice: How do you recognize enlisted personnel you should take advice from and the enlisted personnel you shouldn't take career advice from?

How do you recognize the enlisted personnel whose careers have obviously stagnated?

>be at meps
>system was down and liasion said that they cant ship the army shippers
>go back to the hotel
>go to meps today
>still down and have to wait until tomorrow or they reschedule me for next week and renegotiate my contract
>i’m going to lose 20k bonus because of this

anyone else having this issue or its just my station?

What are the pros and cons for each?

Is it better to get Lower score when you just want to get shot at?

If I talked to a recruiter and scheduled a trip to MEPS and then cancelled, would other recruiters know?
there was a few redflags during the initial conversation with him and I felt as though my recruiter wasn't being entirely honest with me and was gonna place me in a MOS I didn't want
