Is there anything a magnum revolver has over a self loading pistol?

The ability to shoot magnum pistol cartridges.

Big

Normally nicer factory triggers on guns capable of SA. Other than that, theyre good for wilderness animals obviously for penetration.
Id prefer a high capacity auto loader in a gunfight but wouldnt feel too off with a well made 357 and at least 4" of barrel.

>less prone to beginner errors
>can handle weaker or stronger cartridges
>more instinctual to use, though slower

if you ever have to use it in self defense you're less likely to get fucked over because you used a classic piece of america with limited boolets rather than a scawy bwack bistol with 15+1

Killing big shit, my 500 sw will literally kill any living animal

Stoppin' powah.

Redneck fashion

DE's are heavy, expensive, and unreliable compared to a revolver that shoots the same round. In other words there is no advantage to a DE...at all. Nothing. Except looking neat I guess, that's about it.

And a .50 AE desert eagle wont?

.50 AE is baby next to 500 Magnum

Only decent deagle is 44 and that still isn't reliable or it would've killed revolvers by now.

Grip profile. Ergonomics in general, price for power, if you want to shoot something like .357 magnum in an automatic you are buying a $5-700 gun. You can get an OK .357 magnum revolver for $350.

Even if it was reliable it still weighs like twice as much and costs triple what a .44 revolver does.

What is Jow Forums's opinion n the Matever Unica?

Yeah that is true. Weight is comforting, but price is a big issue.

The Meatball Unilver?

It isn't made anymore and they all cost twice what your mom does on a Saturday night so they're not really worth discussing. If you REALLY want one you can go get one, but most people are going to buy a normal gun at a normal price.

You can load and operate it one handed.

You can chamber rounds that have substantially higher or lower chamber pressure (like .357 magnum or .38 special) without having to worry about whether the pressure can operate the action without damaging it.

this never occured to me, but you can limp wrist it all you want with no problems. the revolver plays well with others.

>costs triple what a .44 revolver does
Only the bling-bling ones. The plain black ones are like $1200.

>loading and operating one handed
????
maybe an SAO
With an automatic you can at least drop the magazine, holster, and then insert a new mag with one hand.

How are you racking with one hand?

One word, MAGNUM!

oh, and a 40% higher rate of lethality in DGUs than 9mm.

They're neat and fun.

Dont your wrists snap in half after a while? I get this feeling that anything above .44 magnum would wear down your wrists as if you were a hooker

press check
and before you even ask how to load one handed

Yeah. They're fucking cool.

You get to LARP as the Arizona Ranger

Coonan .357.

But I get your point.

DE's are toys. Fun guns, but not reliable and heavy.

Not to mention 50AE is pussy shit compared to revolver magnum rounds like 454 Casull, 460 Mag, 500 S&W mag, and 45-70, etc...

500 S&W is literally double the energy of 50AE and can sling bullets up to 700 grains, Underwood makes some.

Iron

You cant shoot 45-70 from a semi auto pistol

is this a revolver or auto loader?

>It isn't made anymore and they all cost twice what your mom does on a Saturday night
Actually, I'm pretty sure production came back online like last year or something : mateba-italy.com/en/Revolvers/
Still, all of them are >2000 yuros so these definitely aren't budget guns, but they will make you look cool as fuck, specially if you wear a brown jacket over a black turtleneck and sport a sick mullet.

> Not building a 500s&w auto loader.

no cycling issues especially with light loadings

Its fine

It would be anemic against whales or elephants.

Came here to post this.
There's a reason it doesn't go "the stranger there among them had a 9mm glock on his hip"

It would have been a very different message.
Also anachronistic.

Attached: WankerGlock.jpg (1210x764, 207K)

>yfw the glock 50 is a 9 inch barrel longslide that shoots 500 automax

>yfw 15 rounds, with 3000 ft lbs each on tap

>yfw 3 pounds of projectile per magazine

Casings are easier to collect for reloading.
Simple to handle.
Most pistols chambered in magnum rounds have almost the same capacity as a revolver.
