VEPR but I have no real reason for saying that

Thanks to that user who talked me into buying the ATI T3 stock for my Mossberg instead of the magpul one. It's super comfy. Just gotta wait a month for my barrel to show up and I can shoot it

>Benelli M4 is the end all be all of shotguns
It's not. It's dead last in affordability.

>dead last in affordability
I get that the shotgun is the true poorfag firearm but still lol

So, how bad does the ""brace"" on those flex under recoil? is it noticeable?

The brace doesn’t move at all

Huh, i always figured the rubber construction would leave room for a lot of flexing, interesting.

Why do some indoor ranges not allow target load shells?

And what is the cost effective alternative to their "SCORE" non-target load non-steel $0.75 each shot?

They don't like having baffle strikes, floor strikes, wall strikes, and their stands being chewed up all in one sitting when some urban youths show up for an afternoon of sharing a single PGO shotgun.

the brace everyone has in this thread is actually really solid and doesn't flex much. I don't think theirs another brace on the market that would be more suitable.
Does tug on facial hair when you fire it with a cheek weld though

so whatcha gonna tell law enforcement when they start asking questions about the buttpad on your brace there
>if you're gonna noncomply then at least use a regular stock

I thought that was an Italian marketing trick.

Sold my Mossberg 500 a few months ago because the POS refused to stop light striking. Considering a Benelli M3 now, I like how it has what amounts to an actually functional semi/pump design like the SPAS12. Do they still import them?

It’s kinda gay that every single gun market is switching into “teehee a brace let’s us sell short barreled weapons”.

I see no problem

>oh gawd why are you guys skirting the NFA to have cool shit
Fuck off ATF, no one cares you aren't getting your $200 blood sacrifices

I want to put a toprail on my Mossy 500, but all of them seem suspiciously cheap. Can anyone reccomend one?

its cheap because they are common and pretty universal, just try to buy one that is metal not plastic and you should be good to go.

Weaver rails are the best for optics mounts

It was a tie last thread so I'm going to ask it again:

12ga vs 20ga

I will buy a shockwave for multipurpose use.

Brace and ported barrel for HD
Bird's head for hiking

Inb4 the rarted 20g lover that continually gets BTFO

I take that as one vote for 12ga?

>Throw easily removable friction held pad into closet after crowning bad guy

>What pad?

You mad bro?

20 is best for Shockwave.

Benelli M2 though. Best IPSC 3gun shotgat.

If you want a suspiciously expensive rail go with Mesa Tactical. Good stuff.

I recently bought a friend's inherited PGO Mossberg 500. Any recommendations for what stock to put on it?

Adjustable LOP is a requirement but otherwise I'm open to suggestions. Are recoil reducing stocks a gimmick?

Saw one at a gun show a month ago, so probably

If 16ga were more popular, that would be the answer. It's not, so the answer is 12ga.
You specified "multipurpose", and 12ga has the greater selection of ammo by far.

12ga is gonna get you way more versatile load options for cheaper, including light recoil loads if you have delicate baby wrists (AKA the only reason to get a 20ga over a 12gaon the first place)

A 12ga Shockwave is percectly shootable, even with full-power loads like 3" magnum slugs.

Mesa Tactical chassis.
You're not too poor, are you user?

Attached: 1543721059304.jpg (1024x597, 73K)

I have had my eye on it. I'm a little hesitant to spend more on a stock than I did for the gun itself.

Any experience with it? It looks like you need to keep the stock shouldered pretty loosely to actually make use of the recoil reduction system.

>Put birdshead grip on it
>chop barrel
Not turning a Cruiser into a DIY Shockwave is a waste of a "firearm" calissification senpai.

You can pick up a used M500 with a stock on it for

>T. Absolute 'tard

Yet here you are posting images of it

It was never close
12ga or nothing

Stop bring poor. By being a poor gun owner with your hunnit dolla single barrel break action youre making the rest of us look bad. Contribute to the economy, support quality gun makers, learn to code so you can buy an m4.

I can't imagine porting a shockwave barrel would end well
You want the muzzle to travel up with recoil so your birds head travels down. You port that barrel and the recoil will push the shotgun back into your hand and kill your wrist because of your grip on the birdshead.
If you're never going to use the birdshead again it would be ok though.
I guess you could also port the bottom of the barrel instead of the top but that's just going to give you more muzzle climb when you use a pistol grip and brace

I wanna buy a benelli supernova, what are some reasons I shouldn't?

Pardon me for asking, but have either of you lads considered utilizing the SB Tactical SBA3 brace over the model of brace (looks like the SBM4) that you are using in those images? Since the SBA3 offers the ability to adjust to five different positions on a mil-spec buffer tube, it seems like the better, more versatile option for someone potentially looking into bracing a Mossberg 590 Shockwave.

Is there any reason I shouldn't buy one of these? They are like $150.

Attached: Savage301-8.jpg (1200x865, 445K)

go to a pawn shop and get one for $100

>t. pawnshop owner

>go into gunstore
>say I'm looking for shotguns
>boomer fucks behind the counter start laughing at me
I hate old fudds so goddamn much

fudds hate shotguns now too?

fudds love shotguns though, I don't get it

They're unpleasant to shoot and you can get something objectively superior in every way for another $50.

But that said they work well enough and will easily outlive you, if you've got the extra dosh to toss at one they're a fun novelty.

Wat. Moar like mall ninja.

12ga don't listen to the 20ga faggots the recoil on the 12 is perfectly manageable

>something objectively superior in every way for another $50

What should I be looking for? I just want something to shoot homemade meme ammo out of.

Maverick 88

I specifically want a break action though I already have a mossy 590.

I have had one for years. I picked it up for

Well then, have at it. Wally world has em for $100.

It's not my gat, I'm just giving you the obvious answer to your question

I should have been more specific.

I'm putting a ported barrel and brace on it for HD and OEM barrel/raptor read for hiking

>You port that barrel and the recoil will push the shotgun back into your hand and kill your wrist because of your grip on the birdshead.

It doesn't tho
youtube.com/watch?v=CewTSo1dYck&t=0m7s

Don't listen to that user, porting will make the weapon easier to handle.

SBA3 is a flimsy piece of shit that will just bend and bounce back into shape under 12ga. It may even actually break after enough use. It's fine for the intermediate cartridge builds that it's marketed for. The fully extended length also doesnt even reach A1 length.

Franchi 48AL for sale here. One of the finest bird guns ever put on God's green earth. Love it to death and really don't wanna get rid of it but it deserves to be shot more.

I had one of those "Charles Daly" turkey manufacture guns. Was so upset when the feeding system shit the bed. No replacement parts to be found.

Attached: SKO12.jpg (1387x428, 37K)

If you look around you should be able to find old double barrel shotguns (side by sides) for around $200 at pawn shops.

I got a Stevens 107b for free a few years ago and love the quirky little bastard, honestly enough that I might pick up the chiappa X Caliber insert set for it just for fun. Could make for some interesting innawoods adventures

Buy a lynx 12ga

Are any of those Saiga or Vepr shotgun clones worth a damn?
I've heard they're inferior.

I got one of these for my shockwave. Super nice case for the money.

Benellis are prob the best modern shotgun but damn if I wouldn't love an M37 and S12K

I Love love love me some shotguns. They're incredibly underrated for CQC considering how obnoxiously lethal they are.

Here's a pic of an old Wingmaster that use to be part of the Ohio National Guard's inventory. Got it for $230.

LOL stop buying your ammo at Walmart. I get 20 gauge #3 buck for $2.99 a box from Target Sports USA.

TAC 14 is awesome with Aguila minishells. They need a USA OPSol Mini-Clip to feed reliably, but they're cheap:

What are some good choices for a red dot for a Shockwave?
Budget is around $300

SIG Romeo 5 works fine, they're $120 shipped BNIB on eBay or PSA.

>They're incredibly underrated for CQC
No they're not.

Is that a fucking adjustable arm brace?

I just have a $50 TRS-25 on mine. It works fine. If I wanted to spend more I'd buy a Holosun 503 like I have on my AR and my Mini-14.

Welcome to 2018, time traveler.

It's the SBA3, and they're the bees knees.

I don't like the emitter location on the TRS-25, I used to have one.

Which version? They're in different places on the normal and the "Trophy" version.
