Literally only one AFB is under the Air Combat Command MAJCOM- Hill AFB. The other bases have missing LO plugs, paint is at minimum 80% efficiency because they're TRAINING bases, as in the f35 is still in testing and in the early stages of its full combat implementation

In the article, and the USAF press brief that article was based on, they say both Red Air and Blue Air were "equally capable". If you dig deeper Blue Air = F-35 & co, Red Air = block 30 F-16 and some T-38s, so why would they say they are equally capable if in fact they aren't?

The F-35 is no longer g-limited and will turn just as well as an F-16. Assuming a similar fuel load and loadout? F-35 will out turn it since it's clean, while the F-16 needs to carry fuel and missiles externally.

Presumably it means that the aircraft do all the work and pilot skill doesn't matter. It's not exactly wrong, if you look at a technology driven sport like F-1, it is clearly that individual driver skill matters less and less every year compared to the technological advancements of the vehicles.
