fucking because

17 wsm? Why not?

>5mm rimfire

Rimfire doesn't have magazine limit in Canada so you can have giant drum mags of silly rimfires

Because it's a useful close range varmint cartridge that has very high quality ammo and very accurate guns at a low cost.

Why is it green?

Environmentally friendly.

It's just a plastic tip that's green.

Gotta go fast

So it doesn't deal acid damage? Lame.

Because it has a steel penetrator core

Because Savage 99

>tfw no giant mags of 44 henry

I had a buddy on IRC like 20 years ago who hunted deer in South Dakota with a .17 HMR.

Allows to hit squirrels at larger distance than .22lr without having to use holds.

17 HMR isn't 20 years old

Because yee-haw motherfuckers.
America is where you can try any stupid thing and if it catches on, you'll be a millionaire.
It's unironically wonderful.

When will someone create the .14-88 cartridge?

The .14 projectiles are available so this is halfway there

>tfw no kel tec MP7 clone in .17 HMR

I just want something unique in my collection besides a galil and retro XM16 variants.

cheaper version of 4.6x30meme

17. I rounded up.

If anything this chart makes .22mag look like the winner. Almost the same trajectory as 17 out to 150yds, but with all that extra energy

I still think this woukd be sexy as fuck in 5.7

Op doesn't realize that .17HMR is the best rimfire round ever created, what a nerd.

The farthest .22 still came up 10yds short of the shortest .17... the 17gr v-max is significantly flatter. At 200yds you've dropped 8in, while .22mag dropped 17in.

Like shit just look at how flat most of the .17 trajectories are leading to 100yds. All of the .22 ones required a higher hold/angle

I'd argue that .22 LR is, but that's in the same way that .223 and 9mm are the "best" calibers.

Cheap as fuck to mass produce, theres a reason most milsurp has steel cores. Steel is even cheaper then lead for a given volume.

So you could get a DPM style dinner-plate mag?

because it's a tracer

I'm already Tracer!

eh?

If only someone manufactured them.

I guess they never miss, huh?

Because you don't need a $1000 rifle to achieve this.
