Brethren Arms? I've considered on of their 93 builds but one that takes the STANAG magazines. A pretty basic build can be had for around $2100 with welded top rail, non-IR reflective finish of your choice, modified mag well and collapsing stock. I've even been considering dumping a polytech safe queen in exchange for a 5.56 shooter in dat slap. What do you guys think of it?

Anyone here have the 80's import Springfield 4800 in 5.56 built by Imbel? I've seen some old threads on BOOMARFCOM and the owners spoke very highly of them, even putting them above their FN FNC (heresy, I know). I haven't ever seen one for sale though, which is odd.

Just picked it up yesterday its my first 5,56 and bullpup. Need to get some more mags and a sling. Anyone know a good sling for this thing? Its gonna come with me innawoods a lot so itll be slung to my side for most the time.
Also could use ammo suggestions for it cause like I said im new to 5.56

Just seemed kinda gimmicky and felt as if it were purpose built for dumb gentiles to blow their good-goy points on. Wound up selling it and finding better, lighter, and cheaper rifles.

Well that would explain it. Honestly I'm quite surprised that neither DSA nor PTR have dipped into the 5.56 variants of their respective markets. I know the AR builders have saturated the market so to speak, but it still seems like an obvious expansion for their product lines.

The only issue I've run into is the bolt not going fully into battery sometimes when closing on a fresh mag, resulting in a click and no bang. I've also had some feeding issues with a Promag, but I'm just attributing that to a shit mag because it's not happened with my HK steel mags or the MKE translucent.

Old school Armson OEG's are still manufactured and can be picked up for under $200. I'm sure you could find used Aimpoint Comp1 sights for a good price but you'll have to look around.

lucky you, guess you got a good one. most of my malfs have been with promags as well but it did smash an empty casing into the magwell hard enough to dent it inwards while i was using my steel hk mag
