10.5 AR's have been cycling fine for years. Every mfg has pretty much figured out how to make them run well. I'm sorry that you have had poor experiences with a subpar 10.5 because all mine run great. I still prefer 11.5 because it shoots a bit softer but 10.5 is fine.

11.5 Is better. I own both.
10.5 is perfectly reliable. 11.5 has much greater dwell time, which reduces parts wear (a meme) and reduces felt recoil and gas getting blown into your face (not a meme). The extra inch really makes no difference to maneuverability in my opinion.

From all indications, yes. The FoldAR uppers can be used with any BCG. The SCR lowers are the same as any AR lower except needing a proprietary BCG and trigger (and not needing a buffer tube, of course).

Nice you have the franklin. I have both the ECHO2 is more reliable but the FA is faster. I can make the Franklin run without stops now and can even start and stop while in binary.
Other guys on here talk shit about them but I think they are better than full auto as far as usefulness.

I don't have either, but I've had the privilege of shooting a friend's gun that has a FA binary. I really like how intuitive it is to moderate your RoF to your comfort level.
Also, even just watching someone else shoot with a binary trigger is kinda neat because the speed of the fire is more organic than just holding down full auto.

AR noob here I only own fudd guns and a couple handguns. I’m thinking of buying a complete lower from my lgs then slapping a psa upper on it. Will l need some sort of parts kit? With pins screws and all that?

Nope. If you buy a complete lower and upper (with BCG and CH) there is nothing you need to add. The pins already installed. All you have to do is push the two takedown pins out, put the upper on, push the pins back in. Congrats, you built an AR. Kinda.

No problem. Here are the other things I wish someone told me when I bought my first AR:
>the upper/lower will wiggle at the takedown pins. Get used to it. Literally all ARs do it. Even that one that costs 6x as much as yours.
>You can't put the gun on safe if it's not cocked. It's supposed to do that, your gun isn't broken.
>ARs (and most non-handguns) have a free-floating firing pin. It will probably leave a little indent on primers when a round is chambered and not fired. It's normal, get used to it.
>AR mags can be kinda hard to seat on a closed bolt. If you just smack the mag to seat it you'll dent up your rounds. Lock it back, load a round or two less in the mag, or lube up your mag release and fuck with it a lot, as the gun breaks in a bit it generally gets better
