Could a dozen people armed with semi-auto firearms hold back 4000 Zulus?

Could a dozen people armed with semi-auto firearms hold back 4000 Zulus?
If not how many would it take?

Like always not enough information provided. Are they belt fed bump fire ars? Sure
Are they calicuck 10 round clipazine breakaction ars? Not a chance in hell.

Let's say /arg/ /akg/ and /sgg/ are thrown back in time for this
/arg/ and /akg/ can use standard 30 round magazines

whats with the obsession that "could X amount of people with arbitrarily defined modern weapons Y with very specific amount of attachments and ammo win historical battle Z?"

Maybe they're writing a book and want to test ideas?

maybe they're preparing for the next chimpout?

Maybe it's just fucking fun to speculate?

Jow Forums is noguns and can't function unless there's a fictional aspect to discuss guns in. Hence the fantasy threads, fictional operator threads, tv threads, vg threads, ect.
If ammo wasn't an issue, yes.

For our sake let's hope they all get slaughtered

Possibly, it depends on if the Zulus route when they face vastly superior fire power.
At one point in the actual battle of Rorke's drift the British camp was fully surrounded.

>a dozen infantrymen
Definitely
>a dozen normal men
Maybe
>a dozen Jow Forums posters
Not a chance

I still can't get over the fact the British only lost 17 men during all of that.

Yes. 700 rounds of 308, loaded in magazines, fits in a backpack easily. Multiply times 12 and the massacre at Rorkes Drift could have been ten times larger. Honestly you're in danger of burning out your gas system at this volume of fire. PTR 91 master race wins another thread.

Yeah but the entire 2nd/24th infantry was killed at Islandlwana

Could this fucking guy (( )) armed with nothing but a dragon dildo defeat 1 of me armed with a single bottle of lube.

explain your answers

you can still use a regular magazine with break action it just needs a mag releasw that stretches over the upper so it can only be depressed when cracked. It doesnt justify the system but atleast speeds it up slightly.

>a dozen Jow Forumsommandos
If we're really trying to be serious, not just shitting "Haha Jow Forums is so retarded lel" then I absolutely believe it possible. If you're a Jow Forumsommando worth your salt you've likely been through two dozen info threads, downloaded the ark, scoured murdercube.net before it went down, and have done plenty of shooting, hunting, and have basic outdoorsmanship skills.

I imagine that hillside would be pock-marked with punji traps, fox holes, slit trenches and escape tunnels (because who doesn't love mole people threads?)
With 12 guys on a hill, firing until their guns run dry, it would be a very tough battle to win. With maybe 30, with semi auto rifles you'd have some better chances. I imagine 60 would be the golden number given nobody there has access to a maxim gun or similar force multiplier.

>4000
lol no

Considering 150 troops with Martini-Henri's, Webley's and Bayonets succeeded. Why do you think a dozen people with vastly superior firepower and clear lanes of fire couldn't do the same?

You have to remember there really isn't much in the way of cover around Rorkes Drift, it was wide open territory with some larger hills covering one flank. Instead of waiting for the Zulu's to get within 25 yards of the wall's you could be picking them off at 300-500 yards thanks to their formations and grouping up well within sight.

Now if they somehow decided to completely forgo all their tactics and previous battle experience and simple zerg rush the dozen regardless of losses, then yes they win.

>Islandlwana
20,000 zulus tho

if its your standard squirt bottle of lube, definately on your side. You can blind him and spray the ground he walks onto.

All depends on the terrain, distance, lighting, and weather, user.
