Why aren't assassins more of a thing? Not just in the US, but worldwide... like Mexico or Germany?
More weapons than ever, more information out there on peoples movements and how to use weapons as ever, more people than ever so the percentage of people that are mad and driven has to be higher.. hell, more ways to communicate to/finance hit men who are specialized.
Do you think constant (failed) attempts are kept out of the media for PR purposes? Can't let people know people are trying or put in peoples minds that these are options.
are you asking because you couldn't find an assassin by googling? what are you expecting, reviews and shit? there's likely more than a few out there
Jace Collins
>Why aren't assassins more of a thing? They absolutely are a thing. They just don't operate in flashy, unrealistic ways like in movies. And they're aren't rich, either. Assassins in movies are always portrayed as being rich. Hell, the entire plot of John Wick is based on him having a really nice car and attracting unwanted attention because of that. If John was a real assassin, he would have known not to go around driving in a flashy car like that.
But yeah, if you go down to Mexico and Latin America, you'll find plenty of professional killers associated with various groups. Just don't expect them to be wearing nice suits. They're more likely to look like this.
In most first world nations there are entire agencies that protect the elected officials or other leaders. Those who make it to a level were they are not important enough for offical protection, often make enough to hire professional body guards. Either situation, you have a group that is fairly good at their job, which is to prevent assassination.
Second world counties, usually pull from the military some of the most loyal individuals to act as body guards.
Third world countries, it is called Tuesday when a leader is assassinated. It really is not news worthy.
I'm sorry to burst the bubble of the 16 year olds in this thread. If by "assassin" you mean mob thug killing other criminal lowlifes, or general thug murdering somebody's ex-wife once, then yes they exist. They get away with it because they don't have relationships with the victims and the crimes are low profile.
If by videogame agent stealthily icing bigwigs and making it look like an accident, no it doesn't really happen in the first world outside of espionage stuff between state actors, because the risks are too high, the rewards are too low, and crimefighting technology has advanced
god knows what happens in latin america

The real world not operating like your Chinese cartoons is not a media conspiracy.
David Lopez
Post some hired assassins
Pick related, Mucki Pinzner, did several hits for Hamburg based mobsters, got caught eventually, got his wife to smuggle a gun in her panties into the court room, shot the judge, shot his wife, shot himself.
Richard Kuklinski, had several biopics and documentaries about himself, famously got cought because he neglected to thaw out his last victim that he stored in a freezer for 2 years before disposing of the body.
What? How is driving an old muscle car “flashy”? Plenty of boomers do this. He just had the misfortune of bumping into the psychopath son of a mob boss. If this were to happen to regular person and they refused to sell the car as well, they would’ve been beat to fuck in their house like Wick. The whole film was a big fantasy play that instead of a regular guy betting wronged by a chance encounter, that guy was a super assassin.
William Lopez
Read and heard about him. Guy was legitimately a cold hearted death machine. He really saw killing as strictly business and a big nothingburger.
Mason Roberts
Wars are fought online and through the media now. Character assassination is much cheaper and more effective than actual assassination.
Henry Cooper
“Super assassins” don’t get houses with windows for walls, Hell they probably don’t even live in houses. If you are going to be a hitman then you want to be the hardest son of a bitch to find except for clients
Joseph Mitchell
Well technically Wick was retired and was aiming to stay away and out of the hit business.
Eli Bell
And he is a 'super assassin' where no one who knew him wanted to fuck with him once he got out.
David Allen
The myriad ways law enforcement can identify you through new technology makes it increasingly unwise to perform any kind of criminal activity.
Brayden Robinson
>"Super assassins” don’t get houses with windows for walls
You know this from all the super assassins you've met and been invited over for dinner by?
Gavin Ward
I think he's discussing the verisimillitude of the film, not actual realty.
It absolutely does happen. More powerful governments means cleaner jobs, so you don't hear about all of them. There was the recent botched cover-up of Jamal Khashoggi's assassination by the Saudis.
Nolan Rogers
> mormon here. about 1 in 10 of my mormon buddies come back from their missions with stories about that one guy they were teaching who wanted to get baptized but couldn't because of crimes.
these folks are out there, but you're not looking in the right places
Matthew Young
> need to hide > nah, i don't wanna live in a normal house, that'd be too obvious
Elijah Robinson
This. Boating accidents happen every day.
Evan Hill
>More powerful governments means cleaner jobs, so you don't hear about all of them. It actually seems to be the opposite. The more powerful the government, the more they can get away with blatantly murdering people without even trying to cover it up.
Nope, but Sonny Black Napolitano, Pacino's boss played by Michael Madsen, was killed IRL in a manner similar to Lefty in the movie, i.e. he gave his jewlery and key to his apartment to a friend because he knew he was gonna get whacked.
Alexander Gutierrez
They are extremely common in Mexico idk what the fuck you're talking about
Caleb Watson
One of the few men out there with a confirmed crossbow kill
