Only 3 months left before John Wick 3 comes out
What game is this?
As much as I like War of Rights I keep finding that I enjoy watching videos of other people playing it a lot more than I enjoy playing it myself.
Mostly the large spectator camera pans of battlefields when there are hundreds of players forming battle lines and firing volleys.
Stop being faggots and the Resident Evil novels with me.

Fuck you nigger English
You can find it with a simple Google search. It won't be available to download forever, you have no excuse not to have it.

and it says that I am forbidden.
The hell are you on about, mate?
What are some cool things Jow Forums likes to do in Arma?
Been playing a lot of Ace Combat 7
who here Jow Forumsaleun or Jow Forumsaptain?
I've been enjoying Insurgency Sandstorm. It keeps reminding me of little shit I need to work on in real life, which is pretty fucking rare for a game. Over penetrating cover, checking corners, target backdrop. It's been a weirdly valuable aid. Plus it's a fun game.
i don't like tac shooters because it's all about reaction skills, and precise shooting. i prefer red orchestra/rising storm, it's more about strategy, combined arms and teamplay.
ofc i'm also a fag who can't shoot for shit online, but the main reason for that is that i literally never had any interest in playing stuff like cod or cs.
Why would I want to play a shittier version of ARMA?
Also I worked on VBS2 back at Uni kek.
bump
Are you using TMO?
Best Arma mod, coming through.
WASTE THAT CHARLIE BEFORE HE WASTES US!
Is come and see any good?
Now that's my poison.
does nobody play RO2 anymore?
Also, I haven't been able to get it to launch. I get an error that every single server has DLC that I don't, and therefore I can't join, but I'm also told (via steam) that I have all the DLC available.
WHAT GIVES?
No fun allowed autism
Its free, check it out on you tube
Dayz is actually playable now so that's what I've been doing
RO2 was too depressing for my taste.
Also, I feel that the issue of getting constantly sniped from 200m by a pixel that only 2000h of learning each map by heart could have identified as an enemy is considerably less pronounced in RS2.
Your servers must have been weird.
I found it far easier to play with a more comfortable learning curve than Verdun, for instance.
When Verdun was in beta, it was fun. When it went live, it was just "spawn, get sniped, spawn, get sniped"
I've been thinking about buying War of Rights, but I hear you literally cannot play it unless you have a microphone and role play along with everyone else.
Just seems a bit tiresome.
last time i checked there were more than 2 full servers without bots
it's for military training I don't think civis can buy it(for a reasonable price)
You don't really need a microphone, although it helps to have one and you're pretty much useless as an officer without one. I play fine without a mic.
ur mum
You don't have to have a mic if you're a private, but you are literally detrimental to your team if you just run around trying to be Bushwhacker Elite on your own. You have to stay in formation and yeet on blue bellies to win a match. I've had loads of fun following officers to flank Yankee scum from behind, fire on them, and then rush with the bayonet to pick off the remaining carpet bagging nigger lovers off.
Have they slowed down the gameplay?
It's way too lethal and fast, but maybe that's real combat in the jungles infested with Gooks armed with automatics.
Its supposed to be fast like that to maintain a quick skirmish gameplay that tripwire intended. The only qualm I have is that the hitboxes can be fucky and trading is much less likely than in previous tripwire titles.

Any RO2/RS2 fags here? winter war mod for RS2 is gonna be so fucking cool
Fun Fact: War of Rights is the only video game that actually allows you to save a nine month pregnant Anne Frank from certain death.
I need some good books i got a tablet and nothing to do at work.
My man.
Why slow down the gameplay? I think it's the perfect pace if you play it competently.
Wannabe pilot fag here, learning to helicopter in RS2 has peaked an interest in piloting I didn't really have before. Though I'm really shit on, say, ARMA 3's advanced flight model, I'm still having alot of fun the more games I try to expand to.
What's a good singleplayer/multiplayer game for piloting modern fighters and stuff? Ace Combat looks fun but I also don't know what the good 'authentic' choices are. Also, what would be a good flight stick for a total shitter and dogbrain such as myself
The supreme Africa simulator
I kind of miss seeing the bullet wounds. The generic blood splatter overlay in RS2 doesn't do it for me as well, though I love how blood pools around where you shot them and spreads based on the terrain.
DCS my man, get yourself a stick and throttle first though. Rudder pedals if you can are good too, though a twist stick works well enough.
They ought to make it so every player has his own squad, and you can put your XP towards different things like rallying them if they get skeert.
i'll give it a look, thanks
Check out the Saitek x55/56 quality control can be a bit iffy so I's order off a site with a decent warranty. DCS is a good choice if you don't mind shelling out a decent bit of dosh for the better modeled and detailed aircraft. Strike Fighter 2 is also an OK choice, not nearly as realistic as DCS but you can tool around with Vietnam era aircraft so it has it's trade-offs.
I play it almost every day, usually there's only 1 or 2 full servers, and sometimes there's none, in which case I play RS2 instead
>Wannabe pilot fag here, learning to helicopter in RS2 has peaked an interest in piloting
There's literally only one choice for learning to fly helos, if that's your aim, or just flying in general really. DCS is by far leagues ahead of every other flight sim in terms of flight modeling
You will need an actual pair of rudder pedals, a separate throttle quadrant, and stick.
During DCS sales I will gift aircraft to people here provided they're actually into flying, so there's that, otherwise you'll pay $40 or so per aircraft
AC7 is fun as fuck, flying an F104 up a space elevator feels so right
>Inb4 autistic simfag shows up
>tfw you couldn't save her
;_;
RS2 has that (but you have to fuck around with the game's config txt to get it to work, it's in the game, but you have to turn it on.)
Yeah but you can save Wit
Someone recommend me a good sub sim I want to give one a try.
cold waters
if only there was a mod fixing the retarded weapon models and animations, some of them straight up hurt to look at
What type of books you looking for?
Books of technical specs? war memoirs? fiction?
I would play those games more but I'm a longer fag and don't like interacting with randoms online.
Do people still play Red Orchestra 2 or did I miss the boat?
they do. several full servers last time i checked (without bots)
That game is terrible.
Truly an awful experience.
Is WWII Online any good? The scope of the game is pretty impressive, but being free to play I'm a bit hesitant.
Why is that?
Did he died bros?
SIXTEEN YEARS OLD, WHEN I WENT TO THE WAR
TO FIGHT FOR A LAND FIT FOR HEROES
GOD ON MY SIDE, AND A GUN IN MY HAND
CHASING MY DAYS DOWN TO ZERO
Nah, he jumped to safety - like free willy.
Plz recommend.
I only read the RE1 book which is basically just the events of the first game.
>no one mentions squad
youtu.be
How is squad now? I played a free weekend and found it was very "run for an unreasonable amount of time and then get picked off from a mile away"
The gun play is pretty sweet though and the firefights I did have were eggselend.
>it was very "run for an unreasonable amount of time and then get picked off from a mile away"
Milsim is not for you. Rising Storm 2 might be more your speed.
there are definitely still plenty of those moments and I hope they never leave desu. it acts as a filter for people who dont have patience for a 20 minute firefight to cap a single flag. The only thing holding this game back is the OWI, the dev team who seemingly work fewer hours than welfare recipients or squad is a part time job for them. I hate when a game comes this close to perfect
That's a shame, but fair. I do like rising storm 2, though sandstorm is a bit better IMO.
join the canadian server btw and you'll have fun
I'm in Aus so that probably won't go down to well.
I think the very frequent checkpoint respawns are more of a problem
never know. we have a guy from sweden who frequents
This song sounds super violent for some reason.
youtube.com
>Milsim
Milsim is all the same from Airsoft to the gaming community, filled with nothing but 12 yeard olds, retards LAARPing and a small fraction of combat Vets who look on with disdain.
Nearly everything said here can be applied to the majority of vidya Milsim groups. It's not a Simulation it's a video game just as Airsoft is not some military exercise it's game.
I don't give a shit about what some ZOGbots think of milsim. They're soldiers, so fucking what? It doesn't make their opinion more valuable, I don't play milsim because I want to impress some stupid jarheads.
What rudder pedals do you have?
Just curious, going to get a pair of pedals soon. Don't know which kind
The most Jow Forumsino mission in any video game ever,
I'm still using a pair of Saitek pedals that have to be at least 5 years old by this point but still work great, they're wide enough and you can adjust the tension, they were $100 when I bought them. logitech now owns saitek, here they are, there's also a full metal version somewhere
logitechg.com
>using the boxed ammo instead of the CHAD belt
Very shameful display GI. Next time equip the belt and get ammo resupply for 400 cartridges.
it's literally just a garbage arma 2 mod.
damn why did rs2 have to be so terrible compared to ro2. and why was ro2 so terrible compared to ro1.
>in africa every gun is left handed
Treating Video games as Simulations is a very silly thing to do when your only reference as to how the military works is from movies and the Wikipedia Chain of Command article.
I just finished playing through the STALKER series and loved it. Someone please recommend to me something similar.
>Treating Video games as Simulations is a very silly thing to do
Right, which is why multiple militaries use reskinned Arma as part of their training.
