care to explain? Seems like a lot to ask for a hat
>GUNbroker
>lists a hat
I fucking hate shit like this
I fucking dare someone to offer this guy $3.50 for it
I'm going to start a website called hatbroker and only list guns.
>gunbroker.com
what the hell man. this has brought down the value
you fuckers are in for a real treat
here's a "sheepdog" AR
1/2
2/2
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
here's some more
bubba nooooo
>tfw the word sheepdog now makes you think of anthro dog milfs instead of mouthbreathing LARPers all because of that shitty kid book
I tried
Somebody needs to buy this and restore it if it isn't just a pimped out IO or Century. Rehabilitating molested firearms like this angrily confuses both the fudds and mallninjas.
it's back
If I have a good condition Galil kit with 4 mags that I want to get off my hands quickly (no joke I just want the shit gone, I'd take $350 for the whole thing at this point) is gunbroker the place to go?
thanks user, it'll work one day I promise
Don't forget pic related
Third Reich memorabilia is incredibly rare and collectible and commands extraordinary prices. For example, a Waffen-SS NCO's visor cap in good condition is worth about $6,000-$10,000 on the market depending on some things.
This also means that 99.9999% of German WWII shit you see on the internet is fake as fuck, especially on auction sites. You should never buy from anyone except trusted militaria dealers and also never buy without having done your homework. That pith helmet is fake as fuck, I really hope nobody gets scammed by it.
Calm the fuck down, turboautist. Gunbroker has always had different sections for different kinds of weapons and military-related collectibles. If you don't want to buy it don't browse that section
It's a c39 retard, it says right there. Nothing of value was lost.
List it on armslist first. Local sale will be faster and save you money on fees and shipping.
what tips you off that it's fake? I'm not looking to by Afrikakorps pith helmets but I'm curious
lol saw this the other week. Guess it didn't make reserve
These are so absurd I might just buy one.
>Gee Bill, TWO foregrips??
A one point sling is a dead giveaway that this motherfucker is a mouth breathing faggot who learned all about operating from movies/tv.
What's a "sheepdog" ar?
Hello newfag
"sheepdog" is Moron Labia term for a guy who defends his fellow oblivious citizens from tyranny and black people
So, its a gun for when shit gets real with Quantavious and the NWO
Fuck I hate it so much when people put retarded tags in the title.
other guy said armslist, but you gotta hope there's a guy within 50 miles or so looking for a Galil kit. Is that likely based on where you live?
That is specific and not particularly common so I would just do gunbroker.
I'm sure glad he let me know it wasn't a valmet, galil, pe57, HL, sig55, or a dragunov
When it comes to spotting fake Third Reich memorabilia, it comes down to extremely minute details that nobody but an experienced collector will spot. I can tell just by looking at that that the vent at the top is not the correct vent, neither is the headband. It also looks almost pristine, and while there are certainly pristine examples of things out there, you have to remember the old phrase "if it's too good to be true..." Another dead giveaway is how cheap he is selling it. I know you're thinking "$700 for a hat is cheap?!" but yes, for a mint condition Afrika Korps pith helmet, yes that is cheap as fuck.
Like I said, if it's too good to be true, it is. You should never buy any type of Third Reich memorabilia over the internet in general unless the seller has an absolutely stellar reputation as a dealer specializing in Third Reich memorabilia.
>stellar reputation as a dealer specializing in Third Reich memorabilia
gib links
>flair launcher
Pride parade or Chotchkie's requirements?
Well, there's plenty of them out there, you just have to know where to look. I'll make a note too that just because someone is a trusted dealer in lots of other WWII memorabilia doesn't mean they don't sell fake Third Reich stuff. It really takes a specialist in WWII German shit to be able to guarantee that it is or is not authentic.
Here's a list of some of the guys I buy from:
The Ruptured Duck
Lakeside Trader
Griffin Militaria
The Marshal's Baton (an extremely exclusive dealer in Grand Rapids who only sees people by appointment, by far this is the best dealer I've dealt with)
Of those I've listed, I've heard a few fellow collectors got burned on things from Lakeside Trader that turned out to be very good fakes, but the guy there was always extremely apologetic and offered a refund to both of them. When navigating the minefield of Third Reich fakes, everybody makes a mistake now and again. What separates the good dealers from the scummy ones is that the good ones will always try to correct their mistake because they know how niche of a market Third Reich memorabilia is, all of us talk to everyone else, and your reputation is the only thing that matters.
2 foregrips? Eotech mounted way the fuck down the rail? Wtf?!
can't you report the listing to gunbroker?
I would but there's no point, and I'm not even entirely convinced that the seller is aware he is most likely selling a fake. I have my extreme doubts due to the design of the vent and the type of eagle used on it, but I always withhold judgment unless I've seen it in person, unless it's extremely obvious.
Gunbroker is absolutely FILLED with fake Third Reich stuff, 99% of the stuff you see there is fake, and many of the sellers are fully aware that it isn't real and are just trying to make a quick buck. Even if you reported all of them, it wouldn't make a difference because the people in charge of Gunbroker are not veteran Third Reich militaria collectors and probably wouldn't understand or believe you that it's fake (especially since many of the people offering blatantly fake Third Reich stuff have a "99% customer feedback rating" or whatever).
If you are interested in collecting Third Reich memorabilia, here's my suggestion:
1) Save up money. Even the smallest pieces of Third Reich memorabilia will cost you hundreds of dollars. A U-Boat badge, for example, which was awarded for submariners fully qualified on submarines, will run you about $800 even in extremely poor condition
2) Research, research, research. For God's sake, I can't stress this enough. Spend your first $500 or so just on purchasing collector's guides on these uniforms. When it comes down to determining a fake from an authentic piece, you will be examining every single stitch and thread pattern on the piece.
3) Join a collector's forum. Places like War Relics and Wehrmacht Awards are invaluable to beginning and veteran collectors alike. We are extremely welcoming to new collectors, but please do not post a grainy picture of some hat you found on eBay and just say "hey guys tell me if this is real." Do your research, then go there for clarification.
(cont.)
Are there places that sell good fakes but are honestly sold as nothing more than quality reproductions?
(cont.)
4) Go to a museum, or see if you can meet up with a well-respected dealer in person. The best way to sort out fakes from authentics is by seeing an authentic example and knowing what to look for, not what not to look for. Many dealers will be more than happy to show you some of their stuff. When I first started out, I went to the Marshal's Baton in Grand Rapids and spent the entire day just looking at authentic examples of headgear.
5) When you're finally ready to begin purchasing, try to buy in person. Until you've made connections with people you trust online, try to stay away from buying anything online, even from trusted people. Like I said in the above point, you want to get experience handling confirmed authentic examples first. Bring all of your books and reference materials, any trusted dealer will not be offended by examining their memorabilia in detail. You must always assume that it is a fake until proven otherwise, and a veteran Third Reich dealer will understand this.
Hope this helps. Collecting Third Reich memorabilia is a minefield, and you WILL step on one eventually. It's happened to all of us. If you don't want to take that chance and would like a cheaper hobby (for example, a WWII Kriegsmarine officer's visor will probably cost you about $6000, a WWII US Navy's officer's visor cap will cost about $200), then it is much safer to collect memorabilia from other countries. Third Reich shit is faked so much because it's so valuable, but it is just as rewarding to collect from other nations who have not yet attracted the attention of the thousands of scammers in Eastern Europe and China pumping out "Frankenstein caps" and cheap fake insignia.
>Third Reich shit is faked so much because it's so valuable
Just like Confederate memorabilia. When the good guys lose their stuff is gonna be pricey.
Oh yes of course, there's an entire market that specializes in providing reproduction stuff for reenactors that want something that looks absolutely authentic. The difference is that they will ALWAYS do something with the cap that lets the collector know it's a reproduction and not an authentic piece.
That's why I try not to throw the word "fake" around as much as I do. There's a difference between a "fake" and something made with the best intentions. A fake means that there was malicious intent behind it, for example, taking a Heer NCO cap (worth about $1000) and replacing the insignia with reproduction Waffen-SS insignia in order to dupe the buyer into believing it is worth six times more.
I myself can't think of anyone off the top of my head that makes museum-quality reproductions, but I know they're out there. I saw a company once that made reproduction visor cap's for the captains of U-Boats, complete with artificial aging and the boat mascot pins. It was almost scary how authentic they looked.
I use gunbroker for all my firearm purchases because I don't know of any online gun stores besides Buds.
Confederate stuff is faked that much? Huh, never knew, I've always limited my collecting to about the 1890s or so at the latest. I gotta say though, I'm really considering giving up on collecting Third Reich shit and just focusing on other countries from WWII. The sheer amount of stress that goes into collecting it is exhausting, and you always have that nagging feeling in the back of your head that your "authentic" pieces aren't authentic. At least once a day I find myself grabbing the jeweler's loupe and examining the thread used to stitch a sweatband to something to see if it is silk or artificial silk or something.
There's a reason you meet a lot of turbo-autists in this hobby. They're the only people with the ability to specialize this much in something without going insane.
You're already getting the best pricing then. I haven't bought a gun anywhere else in 4 or 5 years. My LGS can't even get close in pricing.
Wow, that's neat. I can believe it though. A lot of people don't understand just how rare it is for something made of natural materials like cotton, wool, and leather to last even 80 years, let alone 150. I cringe whenever I see people in one of those horrible Boomer antique shops buying an "authentic" tunic from the Civil War or something for like $300. Yeah, that tunic is 150 years old and it's made it all this time with only a moth bite here and there. I'm not a Civil War collector, but I'd venture to say that most of the "authentic" Civil War shit you see for sale are just old reproductions from the 1950s or so that are just old enough to look like they've got miles on them.
I also saw someone get burned on a regimental flag at an auction one time. They had an "authentic" Japanese Imperial Navy regimental flag for the Special Navy Landing Force. The guy bought it for $1,000, thinking he just got a great deal, apparently unaware that a Japanese regimental flag would be worth a minimum of like $50,000 and would never show up in a no-reserve auction in the Midwest.
It's not just the age but the limited supply. Unlike the industrial scale of the German war effort the Confederacy supply effort was miniscule. I'd wager that for every authentic piece that survived there are multiple fakes. I get the desire to own a piece of history but if you can never really be sure it's real that tarnishes the idea of paying top dollar for the experience.
wow this really nails every box
>ching chong airsoft optic
>equally shit magnifier
>muh backup irons
>trash bungie 1 point sling
>two broomstick grips
>retarded grenade launcher barrel profile
>OPTIC ON THE FUCKING HANDGUARD
>hogue shit
I was just watching this the other day, gotta love the goof troop reference
fuck man why you have to get so personal. I'll fuckin change my sling fine
Convertible slings are allowed even though you'll leave it as 2 point 99% of the time.
>"See pictures for condition"
>25 pictures of the sides of the gun
>Not a single picture of the bore
>ask seller for pic of bore
Wow that was actual work. Also don't ever buy a used gun that is sold AS-IS. Just don't.
just lol if a gunbroker boomer has ever responded positively to your requests for pics or clarification.
I spent 15 emails trying to explain to a seller how to tell me what the choke was on an Auto-5 barrel
I asked him to read what the barrel said, I asked him to take a picture, I explained a dozen times exactly where on the barrel to look. He couldn't figure it out. Needless to say, I did not buy it
I do ask, I just find it annoying when they offer no description in the listing, then not enough in the pictures.
I've never had a single problem getting any pics I've asked for. Was the seller who fucked you around highly rated with majority positive ratings? I won't even fuck with a seller that has less than a couple hundred ratings.
He knew how to get you the pictures you wanted, he also knew you wouldn't be happy with the pictures. Easier to scam somebody else.
I have waited for a thread like this
I've never bought anything from this seller but I like looking at what he has for sale.
gunbroker.com
What do people use this for? Voodoo?
Another random fucking bullshit classic
I have bought 2 guns from this old dude. His descriptions are accurate and his prices are fair.
gunbroker.com
Amusing taxidermy projects.
>I'm not geological expert by any means, but I do watch the Nat Geo channel and have stayed at a Holiday Inn
What fucking drugs do Boomers take that give them this power?
Characteristics of autism include not comprehending humorous intent.
I wonder if anyone bought the rock, heh.
>These are from real animals and may have an odor
huh
I wonder if this is some airborne retard who spent like a years worth of beer pay and is now going to some shithole where they're not allowed to have fun guns
Perfect item for boomers
FJM44 Militaria is a good one
Badass. I wouldn't begrudge some Korea vet for wanting to be buried in that
Is this a famas
>not Hillarys First Term MAGAzine

If I didn't just get mine, I would have bought this one. gunbroker.com
I think this is a pretty good deal.
