Ouch. I guess if it's already been sand blasted off then you're certainly not bubbaing it, but be aware that some early receivers were actually in the white and might be correct like that. Liberty tree collectors has 1891 carbine pattern stocks, but im not sure where you could get a 1909 pattern.

Thats a negative that ive seen at least on theboutaide on the bolt or bolt body, but headspacing is perfect as checked by a gun Smith. Rest of the parts on the gun are numbered and have the waffenmat stamps on them.

A German-made rifle would not have left the factory without a serial-ed bolt, so this rifle wound up with a bolt that was either scrubbed of its original serial number and then never re-numbered or fitted with an unnumbered armorer's spare (made by Germany) by the Russians who then neglected to serialize it. Or perhaps Bubba here in the US was going to make a ree-al auth-en-tick matching Karabeener.
