What are italy’s Gun laws like? I follow a guy on Instagram and it seems like he has access to everything we do. Is ammo cheap? How/where are the ranges at in italy?

congratulations. Being American I don't know how it feels but all I can say is you are the standard now you represent the right given to you. don't fuck it up.

My understanding was that lots of people in Italy just ignored the law and kept guns illegally. True?

what are the most common guns people buy?

Congratulations, user.

Start a campaign to overturn every italian fun law.

congrats user, hopefully you'll have the actual loicense itself soon

not OP but
>What are italy’s Gun laws like? I follow a guy on Instagram and it seems like he has access to everything we do.
not as bad as bongland's (yet) but they have the big gay, don't even get me started on the bullshit restrictions
Is ammo cheap?
it is if you reload, but even then you can only own so much powder at any given time, can't remember if we have a yearly purchase limit now but I wouldn't be surprised
>How/where are the ranges at in italy?
it really depends, they're mostly in the north because that's where most of the gun culture is
the rules also vary depending on where you go, state-run ranges are usually the strictest

kind of, I guess?
just a few months ago the cops destroyed a stockpile which also had some artillery pieces iirc

Wait, this license allow me to HANDLE guns in a range (by renting it)

ammos are pretty pricy, usually we civilians are kinda not allowed to use 9mm parabellum on handguns but only on certain carbines (it's limited to the police) we can only use 9x21

This law actually is more anti-police than anti-people as civilian guns can use 9x19 and 9x21 but police cannot "fuck up" by using privately bought ammunitions but only the state given ones

to get the license to buy and OWN guns i still have one step to do: Go to the police with these papers tell them where i live where i'll keep them

the steps to get a gun owning license is:

1 go to your family doctor and get a paper where it states that you have not a past of alcohol and drug abuse, also that you are mentally sane
Here you either pay or not pay 60 euros (my medic didn't want money as he saw me growing up and our families are really friends)

2. go to a military state medic he will check my sight and tell me if i'm required to wear prescription glasses or not at the range check my earing (to check if i can hear the range master) and kinda check if i'm crazy or something (usually they do that by feeling)
this costs between 80 to 120 euros (i paid 105)

3. Go to a national shooting range and get a safety course, here they will teach you how a gun works and how to aim and general safety rules and how it could go wrong if you don't check multiple times that your gun is clear before playing with it.
160 euros (Here i got the paper in pic)

4. Go to your local residence police department, and "denounce" yourself as a gun owner, here they will check your background and wait 90 days till you get your license

2 * 16 euro stamps and 1,30 euros as a fee for the actual document

random, we have a lot of variety, as i'm going to be inside the IPSC community lots of CZ and CZ variants (Tanfoglio etc.)

I heard a lot of that either but nobody actually speaks about that so i'm not sure

Will you buy a juicy pasta gat now?

> Wait, this license allow me to HANDLE guns in a range (by renting it)

What, you can't buy your own?

not with that paper, that one only lets you shoot at the range without supervision
to get the actual gun loicense you need to send this paper to the police along with two medical certificates and a couple of tax stamps, then they'll send your good goy card to your door a month or two later after they're done looking into your past
I know it's gay but that's what you have to do if you want to do it legally
t. another pastanigger

Wow, I guess the Italians are wanting a disarmed citizenship in case another Benito Maserati rises up.
That must be a difficult meatball to swallow.

How often do you have to renew that and are the steps to renew jusy as crazy? Also what can you own, any fun shit or just fudd weps and handguns?

hey Alberto

didn't know you needed a piece of paper to certify you have at least a half decent hand, one eye and a functioning brain...

how does it feel to require a piece of paper from the State to let you exercise your right?

>sordins
pleb tier

more like scumbag politicians being the traitorous fucks they are and NPCs being NPCs, it's the same story everywhere only difference is that not even (most of) the right wing tries to pretend they care about individual rights

>How often do you have to renew that and are the steps to renew jusy as crazy?
not really, you make a request to the police every 5 years and send them a new medical certificate saying you're not insane, they're really not hard to get unless you're an actual mouthbreather though
>Also what can you own, any fun shit or just fudd weps and handguns?
the QRD goes like this:
>12 "sporting" guns: pistols, some SBRs/SBSs, old milsurp that takes mags over 5 rounds, scary-looking rifles (I'll expand on this later)
>3 "common" guns: air rifles with muzzle energy over 7.5 Joules, modern milsurp, other scary-looking rifles, shotguns bigger than 12ga, anything the lazy niggers in charge couldn't bother classifying, everything is capped at 10 rounds because reasons
>unlimited fudd guns with no scary features and mags cucked to 5 (2+1 for shotguns but three-barreled ones must have one rifled bore)
now, you need to be a member of a range affiliated with our official sports association or EU equivalent (most of them are, anyway) to be able to own SBRs and modern milsurp (and scary-looking rifles iirc) in the first place
all guns must be registered along with all rifle mags over 10 rounds (which iirc can only be as big as 29 rounds because reasons, but I don't know how this is enforced in practice) and pistol mags over 20 (in theory, no idea if you're allowed to get them at all)
also full-auto, suppressors, "military ammo" (which means whatever some traitorous bureaucrat decides it means), and putting a registered mag in your modern milsurp (or in any gun at all if you're not a subscribed to a range) is absolutely verboten
don't even get me started on the ammo limits, this whole thing is dumb but I don't know what you were expecting

I almost forgot, add 8 antiques to the list of shit you can own and the fact that ALL weapons must be registered, even bayonets, swords and the like

I've been there before, it was aight
