/shtf/ thread (self sufficiency, effective living)

Hey boys, i'm compiling a plethora of information (pdfs, infographics, archives etc) that I will store on a tablet and USB. I'm planning to keep these materials faraday caged somewhere in my garage, with some sort of generator and basic power tools so that life will be much easier in a SHTF situation (I suggest you guys plan on doing the same).

Dump all your stockpiled info you have on outdoors, crafting, offgrid mechanisms, food, emergency tactics, DIY, weapons, etc etc that would be useful in a situation where you might not have access to public infrastucture, or regular society in general. I'll get the thread started with some that i've already got collected.

Knowledge is power

I've got a huge archive of useful pdfs that I've been collecting. What's a good way to share it?

google drive or mega?

Is this going to include community and infrastructure rebuilding, or is everyone going to pretend being a hermit innawoods is going to cut it in the long run?

CD3WD is the best for that info, but it's hard to do a dump of the archive because it's *40+ gb* worth of PDFs

I'll try to find the link

Reminds me of when I tried using HTTrack on the murder/k/ube website.

I'll try Mega. Come back in about half an hour when it's uploaded and I'll link it.

This is useless. You don't need to know the chemical equation, you need to know how to source the ingredients and manufacture the powder.

You don't need a bunch of documents telling you how to do stuff. You need to practice these skills NOW. Then you'll just remember what to do, and you won't need a stupid generator to run the computer where you keep all this stuff.

google images has gotten so shit for saving images ever since they removed the "all sizes" button

and what about your family / immediate community? giving them access to the knowledge will save time, considering you would have to teach them all yourself.

also the generator would be for a basic power tools set mainly, like a drill, plane, saw etc with matching batteries for basic construction and repair.

>generator for power tools
Save yourself the trouble and buy a brace and crank drill, hand planes, hand saws, and stones and files to sharpen all of them.

i'd be buying them as well, of course

>wants community
>can't be bothered to teach people how to do stuff
I don't think you understand how communities work.

nah man, not like that at all
it's just twice as quick if you have all the information on hand, and twice as effective as oral passing of information. especially if you have the CD3WD... can't exactly learn it.

Okay, here it is. Most of this was assembled about four years ago before I got busy with other things and lost interest. I'll keep adding more and finish it someday.

This is completely wrong and meaningless since it's clearly not up to date with local soil quality.

Also wtf are you supposed to do with your newfound knowledge of the soil quality in Africa? You need to know the region around your own home in detail.

this is how you die.

Attached: 00001.jpg (645x773, 38K)

not if you're a tough cunt

why not just roam the country side and find some abandoned farmers house? with some common sense you'll be able to make good use of the place, since there is likely to be tools there, garden and well tended fields that you can start tilling and nurturing fast. with a shovel, axe, saw and hammer, or a heavy rock, you'll be able to fortificate the place with spear walls and wooden walls.
also pic related if you want a fun project

Attached: korsu top.jpg (2048x1995, 634K)

there is a easier way to do this I just drilled a hole in a plastic 55 gal drum slightly smaller then a threaded end faucet. with a rubber gasket I thread it in and the water can be just turned on or off.

A couple of mega files

This is that preppier PDF thing I’m not sure how reliable it is:

any mega links?

That story was proven to be fake.

No it wasn't.

Yes it was, lurk moar faggot.

I've been here for 9 years. Every fucking thread someone (read: you) say it was proven false and it never is.
Go back to wherever you came from, faggot.

Not him, but you're wrong, it's been debunked repeatedly. Read pic related, cross reference actual NATO drops with the ones the LARPer describes.
There's some neat lessons to possibly learn from him, but it is ultimately fake and gay.

Right, I found that and asked where the pertinent information was as to what the populations of the cities were both pre war and during the war so that they could be compared to Selco's story and no one had an answer for me.

I just popped into the thread and don't really care about the argument, but I've watched that PDF I posted get broken down by autists in several threads and Selco is blatantly lying. If you need to believe he's not that's fine, it's a fun read.
