I just bought my first NFA firearm (if you don't count suppressors). What do you all think? What automatic weapons does Jow Forums have?

nice timestamp faggot

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDEEE
I don't have any NFA stuff because I'm paranoid about the government keeping a record of it, even though I'm probably boned anyway
I just wired the money yesterday. It will be a few days before it shows up at my FFL dealer. Rest assured, I will take some pics that weren't on the website then. Posting the invoice doesn't seem like a good plan to me.
Aren't those rear sights incredibly wasted on a gun like a Thompson?
They're the original M1928 sights. So, no.
That's what I meant, originally.
I was designed right after WWI. The C96 has sights that go out to 800m that incorporate a left twist at far ranges to compensate for destabilization. Its "locking principle" is based on myth and it's basically a blowback gun. It's a silly gun from an era where no one understood jackshit.
I woudln't argue with any of that. Still awesome though. Who doesn't love throwing 45acp downrange at 800rpm?
>Its "locking principle" is based on myth
Only on the early civilian guns. The Army realized that the Blish lock was hocus pocus voodoo and got rid of it to lower costs.

95% sure you pay for the gun first, even before all the ATF forms which then you wait months for
So I'm not sure about this "wire transfer" and "arriving at FFL in a few days"
maybe I'm wrong on this, but I'm gonna go ahead and call this LARP
>The C96 has sights that go out to 800m
The “artillery” Lugers had sights out to 1500m but back in the day, shooters had weird ideas about ballistics and way overplayed velocity, with varmint caliber rifles for example being promoted as effective on African big game.
Awesome score OP. Have fun with it and take videos.
It is an out of state purchase. So I pay for the gun, they send it to my local dealer, and I fill out form 4 and wait for the BATFE to say I can take my property home.
I paid for the gun yesterday. The dealer is transferring it to my state. The eForm transfer was filled out and submitted by the dealer about an hour ago.
I have an old thompson from my great uncle, but it's been deactivated to a brick.
Legally I have to do the same to my luger and mauser broomhandle too (if I want to sell them, that is) but fuck that, it should be treason to do such things to vintage weapons
: ) Thanks!
I shall. This is the internet, so I know I'll need fresh pics before all the justified doubters accept that it did indeed happen.
You're a man of discerning and refined taste.
>buying an MG from a dealer
I bet you buy cars from dealers too, you dumb schmuck
What did you pay, out of curiosity?
>paying the tax stamp: the thread
>varmint calibers for African big game
Well at least it's a mistake you'll only make once.
