Aside from the memes, is the KSG a good shotgun?

Aside from the memes, is the KSG a good shotgun?
I own several dozen firearms but I've never owned a shotgun. For whatever reason I've just never wanted one and am not terribly interested in them.
Kind of want the KSG just to fuck around with.

I'm gay btw, not sure if that matters.

Buy a KSG, OP.

was pretty bad in mw3

It's really good in pubs where you'll pretty much be getting ammo every shot but I wouldn't use it in competitive.

I'd rather have the new one. The double tube system is pretty hefty. Also starship troopers aesthetics

Yeah they're good. It'll blow your mind how good they are.

>is a plastic overpriced hunk of shit that will probably blow up in your face before the recall comes too late a good gun?
What do you think? Just get a Mossberg or even a Remingshit at this point.

Overused in Black Ops 2, though

"aside from the memes"

Yeah aside from the "memes" and by "memes" you mean the countless instances of kel-tec junk breaking or malfunctioning of maiming the owner. Aside from those memes yeah it's great, "fuck around with" your plastic mallninja memeblaster. Bet you'll feel really cool when you don't have hands.

Maybe if you weren't a fucking retard, you wouldn't be larping as lobsterboy.

>large piece of guns breaks off
>puts hand in front of muzzle
>pulls trigger anyway

Unless you want to explain that how your hand is safely on the pump handle as you pull the trigger but magically teleports in front of the muzzle instantly

>>large piece of guns breaks off
if it was anyone but kel tec the series of events would never happen to begin with

Didn't he have some airsoft tier pistol grip that was the actual point of failure?

I wasn't the one who posted the picture.
This has happened several times, one or two might've been the grip, but I think most of the time it has been the plastic 1913 rail breaking.
It's easy to make fun of someone for it but if you are shooting rapidly I could see how it could happen. They bought keltec products so they should've expected as much.

>countless examples
>literally one example
>guy put airsoft VFG on shotgun
>it breaks and mains him
>but-but the g-gun!
You should KSG yourself

Don’t lose your head over it

>keltec didnunuffin

You're missing the point where your gun broke and you decided to move your hand the 12 or so inches forward in front of the barrel and thought "fuck, I better shoot this live chambered round even though my gun broke and my hand is on the muzzle" and blame the gun for their hand

Yes and no. This is the best product Kel-Tec makes. And Mossberg isn't making bullpups. When Mossberg makes an ambidextrous bullpup shotgun, I can fully write off Kel-Tec. KT wants to be both innovative, and cheap - which results in ruined potential.

There's two versions (and a new variant) - the standard 18", which is what I have. You're going to want to use a Magpul XTM handstop. Kel-Tec uses polymer that even a Chinaman would scoff at. Their newer guns (RDB) are getting a bit better. Their metals aren't great either. There's another version called the KSG-NR, which is meant to be SBS'ed. It comes with an integrated grip and flash light - this is probably the one you want. There's not a whole lot of real estate on the KSG. I moved my front sight back, took a light off of my pistol and stuck it on there.

There's an 18" KSG at Sportsman's Guide for $630. That's good. I paid $750 for mine a few years back from my LGS. Might want to shop around for the KSG-NR, and research the places before you buy from them...

The new variant is called the KS7. It'll be cheaper, easier to rack, and probably slightly better polymer. It's a single tube instead of dual tubes. HOPEFULLY there's a KS7-NR. I'm waiting for that.

It's Kel TEC as in Tec 9

>Kind of want the KSG just to fuck around with.
That's good enough reason to buy one if you like it.
Just know that you NEED to get some optics or irons on that rail. Out of the box it's un-aimable practically beyond point and pray.

It's kek tek

What a fag

Do you really think it's a fucking willful decision? Maybe it wouldn't happen to somebody who isn't an amateur, but who else other than an amateur would buy this stupid thing?

There's definitely merit to how short they are. They have to be pumped really hard to cycle reliably, so you can't run the action as fast as a broke in 870 or anything. They're a huge pain to load. The question is, is having two 7 round tubes worth having a terrible reload?

If they improved the pump to include a handstop you wouldn’t have to risk larping as a crab for the rest of your life.

If it is, you get the KSG25

That must be the most classless thing I've ever seen

What a sad man
