bersa thunder

why do you have 4 drills?

Idk but I use this brand for all if my car work including cutting up my car hood to add vents, mods to my front bumper for room for a Greddy Turbo and cutting exhaust pipes. Helped remove support bars from my door panels and cutting steel rods for support beams. Not even going to mention building my own side porch and normal everyday house work. Regardless if you carry a SCCP, these are good machines. While not the best, they get the job done

What do you Jow Forumsids think about Ridgid? this should be gud

Hi-Point

If you are just using power tools for small jobs/around the house then Rigid is fine. I work for a GC and I use Makita. But I would happily use Milwaukee if I ever wanted to switch.

The GC that runs the job I'm working on personally uses ridgid for himself but the shop I work for uses willfuckyee and hilti
>Hi-Point
agreed

Construction user here.
DeWalt seems to be the preferred cordless tool brand for the trades around my jobsites.
Honestly, the new green Ryobi tools an new lithium batteries are pretty damn good.

Here's some OC
He was selling it under "Akimbo DeWalts"

There's nothing wrong with Rigid, I just don't trust them as much as Makita/Milwaukee

DeWalt is good stuff too, but if I wanted to switch from Makita I'd go Milwaukee cause it seems to me that they have a great selection of tools, and you can get them basically everywhere.

>got a ryobi drill set like 10 years ago
>use it a couple times a week for light duty shit
>aside from one of the batteries failing, it's chugged along fine.

>cheapass boss bought a ryobi drill set for use at work
>use it occasionally for light duty shit
>it burns out in a week
>so do both batteries

Waiting on mine to die so I can justify moving up to makita.

buy a dewalt you retard

In the bag is a Ryobi circular saw and sawzall that are on their last leg that I inherited. They were rarely used and are about to die.

Take them to HomeDepot and they will exchange them for new ones
I do it all the time.

I bet your 1911 is 38 Super

Norincos, you love cheap Chinese shit.

.45 and the sear wiggles out a bit every 200 shots or so. It sucks lol

CZ or Tikka

>buy a dewalt you retard
>buying cheap chinese shit
Yeah nah.

What on earth are you doing with them?
I’ve got a Bosch Blue that I’ve been using pretty much daily for ~5 years

Where do you think Makita is made?
Where do you think 99% of power tools are made?

Trips = tru
>tfw even my Hilti is chinese

dewalt isn't the same shit it was 6 years ago

Where do you think dewalt is made?

There are LOTS of power tool brands not made in China champ, stop sucking Chink dick and supporting locally made you cheap fuck.

In china, which is exactly my point. It's the same shit in the end no matter what you buy, but Dewalt at least has more locations and a better replacement parts program.

>locally made power tools
lmao

Came in here to post this

>Where do you think 99% of power tools are made?
What are Felder, Festool, Metabo and Fein? There's lot of stuff still made in europe, some in japan.

please share where you get these boutique organic cruelty-free locally sourced micro-manufactory power tools
I guarentee you the parts will be sourced from china or india or mexico and "made" (assembled) in the US.

Keep sucking that Chink dick, maybe you'll get a boost to your social credit score.

From a tool shop?

>haha see i can name some industrial machinery individuals can't afford or use and they aren't made in china, what do you think about that?
and?

>supporting europoors
I don’t want to do that either. That’s just funding MuzzieLand 2.0

Hipoints and 10/22s dressed up as LMGs and G36s

name some brands that are actually sold retail with warranties that aren't 50 year yard sale tools

>can't afford
>meanwhile I can afford to buy FOUR cheap chink drills and have three fail
Keep making excuses you good little bug man.

I'm still waiting for those locally made power tools.

Learn to read.

You’re right

>I'll buy this makita made in china instead of that dewalt made in china, that'll show those chinks!

>bawwwwwwwww i'm such a tight arse I only buy cheap chinese shit, why is no one making tools locally anymore
Stop buying chinese garbage.

>Metabo
made in china
>Fein
made in china
>Festool
made in china
>Felder
They sell several thousand dollar woodworking tables to companies

>locally made
so you live in china then?

all of those companies' tools are made in china
felder doesn't even sell power tools

No, buy something that isn't made in China you faggot.

None of them are made in China, try again.

I know their storage and tool boxes are fucking bulletproof and make excellent gun storage and range boxes.

Shit is like pelican case strength at flimsy as fuck dewalt and husky box prices.

Hardware user here:
Dewalt products are pretty high quality desu. We sell them more than craftsman and other name brand tools 6/7 days of the week, but then again Craftsman has Lowe’s by the balls with all the displays they put up

Why buy DeWalt when I can buy Milwaukee?

Makita and Bosch user here, what guns do I own?

I have 5 or 6 Makita tools that were manufactured in Japan, most recently my TD171 impact driver, and the FS453DZ

Hi Jow Forumsomrade, you obviously have the same tastes as me. You own assault rifles, but also hunting rifles. You prefer handguns with metal frames, but don't hate plastic either.

As to the lathe, could I get you to take a couple close up pics of your qc gearbox?

Attached: IMG_4078.jpg (4032x3024, 2.19M)

Some obscure pistol like an Arex. A glock in 357 sig. A Bulgarian AK like everybody else and a basic bitch S&W MP sport II.

JK I don't really turn without my threads covered. On the gearbox, I need pics of how the levers connect to the banjo inside the side cover.

A Norinco clone of a popular but expensive weapon. You also feed this weapon with tulammo or some corrosive milsurp shit and you never clean it.
You giggle every time the bolt gets stuck and plan to just buy a new one when it breaks.

You shop at big chain stores, and buy cheap but versatile equipment, and have no qualms about imports. You have a tikka and an XD.

WTF are you doing turning without a driving dog? That dead center must be in pain.

You are a man of culture and wisdom, however.

Thank you very much. It has been tough finding documentation on mounting one. I have all of the parts in a box from the guy I bought it from, but I haven't been able to figure out mounting.

Attached: IMG_3851.jpg (3024x4032, 2.25M)

>What are Felder, Festool, Metabo and Fein?
No really, what the fuck are those?

I have the actual installation brochure for the QC box. My lathe was originally a changegear model the first owner converted with the factory kit te week after he bought it new. What's your email? I'll scan it and send it to you.

That looks like an older one. Is your lathe a 10" Atlas or a 12" Craftsman?

Guys that attended the gangbang with your wife last week.

That would be awesome. I would love to get the QC working. Mine is all change gears right now and its a pain in the ass to switch between TPIs and usable feed rates.

Yes, its a TH54 D/F (has D and F components). I got so much tooling with it.

Attached: IMG_3699.jpg (3024x4032, 1.92M)

Once the QC is fixed I want to figure out the turret tailstocks.

Attached: IMG_3707.jpg (4032x3024, 1.59M)

Nice, a factory stand. I had to make my own out of old lathe legs.

Attached: stand.jpg (640x480, 75K)

That looks damn sturdy though. Mine was a bit rickety until I added some lag bolts across the laminations of the wood boards on the bottom shelf. Out of curiosity, how did you lift your lathe? I went with a fairly sketchy method.

Attached: IMG_3701.jpg (3024x4032, 1.81M)

Some makita is still made in Japan.
All dewalt is made in China.

I took off the tailstock, carriage, and QC box and just picked it up.

Attached: IMG_0737.jpg (1024x768, 222K)

Are these atlas/crafstman lathes worth it over new import lathes? They're the cheapest old iron around, but I'm not inclined to trust those light, flat ways.

That's a real spiffy example though.

I paid 500 for mine, and have machined 4140 chrome moly steel no problem. Now to be fair only taking like .015" per cut, but still. With brass I am able to take .050" without stressing the machine and still getting a clean finish.

I think V ways are definitely superior, and I would LOVE to have a southbend but for $500 I couldn't even buy a couple chucks for a southbend.

Attached: IMG_4904.jpg (3024x4032, 1.66M)

tikka t3

The quality is higher than import lathes, but they're light weight and many of the small parts are zinc castings that break easily. If you find a deal on one and you can restrain yourself from taking deep cuts I'd say go for it. I paid $200 for mine but that was pretty unusual. In years past many gunsmiths built a lot of guns on lathes like this. The operator is as important as the machine.

If the prices are the same I'd definitely go for a heaver lathe though. A very strong man can pick up a completely assembled Atlas 10x42. A normal lathe of the same capacity probably weighs 800 pounds.

ridgid, ryobi and milwaukee are all owned by TTI. they're just the lines of the same company - milwaukee up top, ridgid middle, ryobi shit. that's why you see the tech filter down over the years.
same shit different color. use makita.

Forgot avatarfagging pic

That's it I'm going to dissassemble and sandblast off my flaky lead paint this summer. I'm ashamed of mine's petina.

This looks absolutely amazing.

holy fuck that thing is sick

Attached: 049.png (302x462, 123K)

Ridgid is owned by Home Depot.

Ridgid is licensed by homeless despot to sell TTI tools under """""exclusive"""" deals. Read up before you over pay for garbage. Makita.

Why do you keep buying ryobi drills? Also I'm going to say some flavor of Remington

Three aren’t broken, I use a lot of different bits daily. It’s much more convenient to just pick up a new drill then to change the bit.
