Almost there
who is the fucking FAGGOT who names these fucking threads?
please kill yourself.

Post your G R E Y M A N costumes
Everyone I see are just morons who replace their multicam with jeans and a windbreaker.
>Pic related
Southern bros, what's the superior headwear to operate in our sunny, humid swamp? Really considering getting a good hat with neck flap. Just saw that some even come with facemask
>Greyman
You mean dressing like a normal person? Why is this so hard?
>me on the left
...
Baseball hat and a mullet. Duh.
well that's the fullkit phase 3 grey man, the least grey man'ish. good job on not understanding the concept.
You live in the South, not the desert. Humidity is your main concern, though if you're a pasty bitch and/or don't feel like using a small amount of sunscreen that could work. May fend off mosquito I guess, but they'll just migrate to eating your face.
You are the person that’ll get shot on sight in a SHTF situation look at these guys and take note.
r8
Should I bother getting a receive only radio if I don't know shit about radios and have no one to communicate with anyway?
HSGI Tacos or Esstac Kywis?
Other recs welcome, but I don't think I want anything all-polymer.
What sort of name is soap/10
HSGI
You’re a faggot, literally the first person to get shot. You do realize that the whole idea behind a grey-man is that NO ONE KNOWS YOU’RE ARMED/ A THREAT.
>knee pads outside of jeans
>multi cam belt
>plate carrier exposed
>high cut helmet
If you wanted to be a real “greyman” wear a normal fucking outfit, no pads or body armor unless you can hide it well under your clothing. No goofy fucking belts. You literally failed on every level.
For a belt? PC?
Why are you guys such fucking retards. THAT ISN'T HIM FOR FUCKS SAKE. That photo is the 4thnresukt when you search up Greyman.
>Inb4 phoneposters should be hung

Cool well let this be a lesson for all the other faggots
Short of concealed carry, gayman is a meme. If you're carrying a long gun and a decent load of ammunition, you're noticeable to anyone you should be concerned about noticing you. It's a pretty aesthetic meme though. If I were the type of man to glow in the dark, rad grey dude would be garb when doing spooky shit.
The point of that picture was more to look at what they are wearing,
Normal clothes
No helmets/knee pads
In theory if you had a collapsible or foldable stock then you could keep the rifle in a duffel bag along with mags.
“Grey man” isn’t hard people are just retarded and think watch dogs is The way to go. You just have to look at your environment if you live in the country then maybe wearing a real tree jacket with a bolt gun in the back of your truck would make you blend in with everyone else, where as the city it may be tracksuit and a satchel bag.
BFG and kangaroo inserts. You don’t really want kydex on your front where you’ll go prone. Otherwise if you don’t have a kangaroo I recommend single or double stack pouches with flaps (SKD, etc)
Best company to buy Atacs FG shirt and pants from?
would you need a belt if you're just going with an SKS? I guess for canteens and admin stuff.
You could check out propper, I have been using their gear for a while now working in EMS and haven’t had any issues
But these guys arent quite queer amateur operators. They've been trained for this shit like for years. (Besides, donning a balaklava betrays just as good as wearing a digicam jacket and knee-pads).
True... though I think the toting an AK was what I’d notice before the balaclava. I mean that’s just me personally.
But if you are training to be a “grey man” then you can train and work on using the things you have
kywis
Alabamistan here... I just wear a sand colored boonie hat in the summer and sunscreen as another user said. Any darker of a hat and you will be cooking your head.
Listening to nets can get you fluent in how they operate, so your learning curve will be steeper when you finally get a transceiver. May I suggest an iCom R5 or R6? Get the variant that takes AA batts.
I can't find the R5 anywhere and the R6 is pretty pricey. What do you think about this?

For those of you who pack radios in your kit, what radio? I've been looking into potentially grabbing a solar/crank-charging emergency radio for a light loadout, but I'm sort of left clueless here.
Most here have those Chinese dual band ones I think.
No idea what those are, but I was thinking that even if I grab one of these little bastards for ~$15 that it's still invaluable to have one. Solar/crank charging radio with a flashlight and a power bank. It gives you some level of being able to sustain your technological advantage if you need to be out and away for a very long period of time.
There is baofeng and another chinese brand. I think its in the pastebin up the top.
Ah. Those are walkie-talkie style deals. I was just talking weather/power generation. One thing I do notice on those, however, is that they're slaved to the cradle and wouldn't work in a set-up like I am trying to work out where you could just hook them up to a power bank in the field.
o/10 would follow and rob lol
Hell yeah Bama I’m down in Mobile
>sunscreen
implying that you'll always be carrying a bottle of sunscreen with you.
I have my ham ticket so I'm rocking 2x Baofeng UV5R+ on my PC and a Yaesu 818 in my pack.
GA user, here
did structural carpentry for a few years
wore boonies, they work, but could have better ventilation
the really light sun hats like the ones you posted are about the best imo, very breathable
Got my meme karbid gear last night.
Bottles are tiny and if you can bring/stash a hat you can bring/stash a small bottle of lotion. Whatever floats your boat homes.
Fuck, you totally reminded me r-karbid makes camelbaks and I should've got one with my cubano order
I'm moving to a flat that is within 100 meters of my buddy's building. We are on opposite sides. What set of walkie talkies do I buy so we can reliably discuss where and when we will feast on beer and meat?
No homo.
solo cups and string
Any good holster brands not listed on the pastebin? Raven Concealment is looking like my pick but I'd like to see all my options.
IWB I should add.
Did these guys really just roll around with their AKs in backpacks and their mags in satchels until they got the signal to start invading Crimea? Did nobody find it suspicious that these nearly identically dressed shady guys were knocking around the town square not talking to anybody or doing anything in particular beforehand?
Gcode/Haley
OTGhex
They probably knew and avoided them.
Happens all the time with SF teams like that, especially with western guys who are obviously out of place in the ME/Africa; 416s and plate carriers in their trunks. Recent example is that SAS guy.
>suspicious activity
>Ukraine
user, I...
AKs fit pretty well in a bag, they could've hidden em easily enough
It's more likely that those guys rolled in ready for action tho, they weren't embedded and hanging around
there's so little info on the crye avs
Does the front plate essentially float above your chest? It looks like the only points of contacts are the sides of the harness and the top edge of the plate. I know pic related is airshit but looks like the plate would dig into your sternum if you aren't shaped just right
Kind of, the rear plate bag is definitely "floating" over the harness while the front sits like any other carrier would with slightly less contact at the bottom. It doesn't really dig into you either.
At least it's not a shitty 6B45 or ANA garbage, you should get a better holster though.
The russian armed forces have barracks on crimea, so they might have been supplied there.
Yeah, they threw in the holster for free because they had to extend the wait time on my order.
yeah I get how the rear plate is suspended off the harness but at least the harness is making full contact with your back
It looks like you could put those little circular pads crye makes on the velcro where the shoulder straps loop in to make even contact with the chest, but the way it seems to be advertised like in that pic makes me feel like the harness arms would be a single point and pivot where the plate would rattle back and forth as you ran
I mean, I've used it multiple times and I can tell you that is not the case and if it does pivot, it's incredibly minuscule because the top of the harness always remains taut forcing the top of the plate bag to have consistent contact with your chest.
Hey, help me build a battle belt, please and thank you! Go to color way is Gray/Black but FDE and multicam is cool. I have an AR15 and run both GI, Lancer, Pmags. My primary side arm is a VP9, note I'm wrong handed and like the flexibility of Safariland QLS System on a Safariland Mid Ride Belt Adapater (change out holsters) connected to a Safariland 6354 ALS Tactical Holster with single strap.
Where can I get Crye style tiger stripe shirt and pants?
Alternatively, how much does it cost for a tailor to adapt a set of cammies into crye style stuff? I know some of you have had that done.
Dual level: rigid, immobile, lower profile - Ronin, AWS, Tyr
Over: padded, comfy, convenient to don at a moment’s notice - HSGI, Eagle, ATS
Thru Loops: Alonso Defense, Magpul
The first two you can use Malice/WTF straps, last one will require belt mounts
Roman Kurmaz on normiebook
I should look into conventional radio stuff at some point.
Here's a fun thing I learned. There's a device you can pair with your cellphone that allows you to set up an independent network with a 6km range.
Alonso is Ciguera now btw
Which is weird and funny being that Ciguera sounds like ciguatera which is a common food poisoning from certain fish in FL and they're out of Miami
>Roman Kurmaz on normiebook
Thanks for the info, you got any estimates on price?
Thanks!
you've perked my interest, please elaborate. Is it a wifi enabled directional antenna? Also I started off in the "I don't need a license because I'll only be using my radio during emergencies or for larping" crowd until I realized that effect comms requires practice. While FM radios are far from useless you may want to get a two way radio at some oint and Ham radio is king as far as range goes.
Are Russian Dump pouches (from Greyshop.ru) adequate for carrying shotgun shells? I have 3 but am I better off getting better dump pouches?
Thanks all
or you could use a double AR mag pouch and a shotshell tray, just sayin
They're listed as "Off-Grid SMS & GPS Communication Devices" and reading further into them it may just give you exactly what it describes. It's a separate device that allows you to text, talk, or do GPS coordination stuff through your phones. They're somewhat pricey and everyone involved needs to have one. It's still a neat concept to build something off of.
>It's a separate device that allows you to text, talk, or do GPS coordination stuff through your phones.
Absent a connection to the internet, I mean.
>something to build off of
>I'll take APRS for 500 Alex
How many extra shells is enough though?
Thanks by the way.
Follow up, is there a chance of these Russian Dump pouches failing in the field?
I know greyshop is airshit tier but are these pouches in that league?
most people aren't running around with a scattergat as their primary so that number is entirely up to you.
Nah, nigga, cartridge belt all the way
Where the fuck are you tripping from?
Why though, a non airshit dump is like $25
>dabs on your plates
pssshhhh nothing personnel kiddo
A non airshit dump is $25 but a non airshit shell holder is well above that. I'm looking for something that will hold shotgun shells for my shotgun. It's not my primary loadout but it is among the ones that will see use in some capacity.
cya nerd
I mean if you're trying to use a dump to hold shells why not just use a large pocket at that point. Also a russian airshit dump is like $12+15 shipping.
If you have kywis for your rifle, esstac also makes shotgun cards that fit into them and they probably work in tacos as well.
TYR also makes shotgun pouches of various sizes and the 6 shell one is $15 while the 9 shell one is $30.
tyrtactical.com
Tactical Tailor, AWS, and honestly any GP pouch if you just want to dump shells into something.
Which belts would you recommend if I wanted to get suspenders for them.
My friend is asking because he has incredibly shitty hips.
BFG BELTminus
Mayflower Velocity Jungle
Thanks. Which of the above would you recommend? TYR or a GP pouch?
Which capacity TYR?
I don't use a shotgun so up to you.
5.11 VTAC line has two shotgun pieces. One is a simple GP/dump style pouch which is smaller than a regular dump pouch. They also make a vertical elastic shell saddle which attaches with MOLLE, unlike the velcro ones that are meant to be ON the gun. They work, but you have to actually take them out and slap them on your gun. Might be more practical to just load from your rig. The VTACs also collapse pretty small, so if you have a couple on the front of your rig and aren't using a shotgun, they won't get in the way. And they're liek $15 each last time I checked.
If you want hard, I recommend getting a Cali Competition Works stripper. Get the one with the metal wire clip because it can feed through MOLLE. They're what gamers used to use before quad loading, but they're secure, durable, and you won't lose shells from them.
And if you want a caddy that's better suited for belt mounting check out the Gunner Solutions Ez8. Not as durable as the CC caddy, they stick out at an angle instead of laying flat, and they're more expensive and not as durable, but they fix the problem of shell rattle when you take the top few from the CC caddy. You can also double or quad load from them with some practice.
Wouldn't the neck flap defeat the whole purpose of a boonie hat?
>mag dump into target's chest with AP rounds
>gun finally goes click
>the plate breaks away to reveal another plate
>target starts strafing while unloading a China Lake at you
