>Contract over-runs from a South American agency. These LM308MWSODG weapon systems are anodized a shade of what we call “Canteen Green.” Due to the nature of anodizing colors, there are slight variations in the shade throughout the upper and lower adding to the unique nature of the weapon. This is the last time these over-run rifles will be available to the public and will only last a short time. *Web sales available direct to retail customers. Shooting at 800 yards max instead of 1000 yards max, because you're inna jungle/slums and need the ease of handling more than the effective range
it's not as stupid as 14.5" 5.56
Oliver Lopez
Yes, relative to their regular MSRP. Never hurts to shop around though.
Elijah Butler
Some youtube nigger was hitting 10x12 plates at 1100yds with his 13.5" LM308
Noah Hall
Length isn't accuracy. it's velocity. Good for shooting in wind and maximizing kinetic energy at range but not necessary for shooting a tight group in good conditions granted you're using the right bullet design/weight and twist rate.
308, 22 inch. 7mm-08 or 6.8-08 24 inch. 5.56, 20 inch. 6.8spc, 18 inch 06 family brass, 24 inch.
Jaxon Bell
Certainly a screwdriver can be used as a chisel, but wouldnt you rather have the right tool for the job? If I'm kicking doors I want a 16" m4. If a target needs .308 I want some barrel length.
Mason Reyes
I'd rather have a lighter more maneuverable gun. The bullet might take an extra 0.08 seconds to get there from a 16" barrel rather than a 24" barrel, but good luck getting hits that far on moving targets anyway.
Jaxon Robinson
Shooting 308 out of a 16.5 inch barrel is foolish. Other rounds are better suited for short barrels.
oh no, not a 10% difference in speed for saving a fucking foot in barrel/handguard length
Matthew Roberts
The UK has been using the same rifle with a 1:11.25-inch twist 16 inch barrel for 10+ years as a DMR (L129A1). It's proven to be effective out to 800m with M80 ball.
Robert James
>because choosing a cartridge that is more efficient in a short barrel (specifically fucking designed for it at that) and reaping all the benefits of that is beyond brainlets that live life one meme after another.
Grayson Cook
Militaries do it because it is a machine gum round. Shared ammo. What is your excuse.
Lucas Anderson
Did you read the thread topic? The rifles are overrun from a South American military contract
Jonathan Hill
This is meaningless pedantry, if you're shooting .308 you're already compromising and implicitly not concerned about maximum efficiency. People who genuinely care about long range performance use .338 and .300 magnum rounds anyway.
Henry Bennett
>is talking about military contract overruns >thinks the military contract overruns produced by a company that sells dmrs to the US, UK, and others are a "meme" >he thinks LMT makes guns that are "pointless" and sells these pointless meme guns on military contracts what the fuck are you on about with more efficient? we're not running a fucking motor here, it's a gun. i don't need to max my stats to use it.
Levi Williams
*gun* lol.
Adam Jones
Yes, it's $300 off compared to the standard version plus the story behind it will means it'll be a collectible in a few years time no doubt.
Ian Young
Well, we're back to the right tool again. It may be only woodsmaster but 30-06 covered. BAR in .338 win mag. etc.
It's not just about range. Something like the 338 federal has far more energy and is more efficient in short barrels if as an example. You are the kind of guy that carries four screw drivers and two nut drivers because you don't understand the complexity of a six way.
Juan Perry
338-06 is probably the perfect worldwide round.
Elijah Flores
they are amazing rifles.
Gabriel Garcia
Ar-15 Nearly 8lb empty
Why would anyone buy this junk
Oliver Robinson
one of the best manufacturers of ARs in the world is why. they are great guns. i have one in regular. black. love it.
Adrian Edwards
>why not use this slightly heavier meme rounds that travels at the same speed because it's more "efficient"
Easton Mitchell
>Contract over-runs from a South American agency
They fall for it every time!
Lincoln Wilson
>Leave /arg/ to stop temptation of buying LMT >Check catalog >This thread
I just want the CQB upper. But then that involves getting their proprietary barrels etc, and once I go down that path I might as well get the full gun, and I already have 2 MARS-Ls as it is. I just can't do it right now.
If I were to only buy one 308 ar10, would this be recommended?
Asher Hughes
probably because you like them in your butthole so much.
Josiah Powell
>would this be recommended? yes, ESPECIALLY at this price
Andrew Hughes
You are correct
Nicholas Anderson
i bought one
Hudson Cook
I can't justify the purchase right now, nor is it worth putting on credit. I am trying to get an LMT monolithic upper, but it's just gonna have to wait for right now.
People dont want an LMT for the rollmarks (generally, anyway), they want it for the monolithic upper and innovative barrel change.
Alexander Wilson
>Paying $1800 for an AR with proprietary barrels
Dylan Garcia
Uh, yeah. If you pay 1800 for an AR whose parts aren't proprietary, you overpaid anyway.
John White
Maybe CZ will announce Bren 2 BR after this LMT sale? Maybe it’ll be priced $1500? Some silver lining for missing this, because you know a few months from now, these OD LMT are going to be listed on broker for 2.5x the price.
Camden Lewis
I want it for the rollmarks.
Caleb Wood
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THE 308S ARE SOLD OUT IT WASNT EVEN 24HRS ITS NOT FAIR I NEEDED MY WAGEBUCKS TO ARRIVE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>Not a single gun with wood furniture Fucking disgusting
Levi Price
weighs more than an M-14
Jonathan Taylor
lel, who buys this crap
>100% markup ar because of name and silly piston
Isaac Sanchez
everything but the swiss gun is homosexual, 3rd gen plastishit, that will stop being relevant in 5 years when everybody goes back to gen 2 rifles after their meme plastishit breaks
Justin Ross
>silly piston ?
Robert Miller
Sir, step out of the Captcha, I'm gonna need to see your license for all of those memes
Justin Turner
>being a jelly poor Yikes!
Christian Johnson
>buying a gun on credit Fucking kek why would you even consider that
Benjamin Hall
Nobody, literally no fucking person actually uses "innovative quick barrel changes" NOBODY.
Aaron Cooper
>tfw i know the real reason why they are selling these. >tfw i cant talk about it due to nda
Tyler Morgan
Do you really think all of the dipshits in /arg/ are well-off enough to afford their $5k gun/optics combos with cash? You realize there are tens of millions of Americans who live thousands of dollars in CC debt and see it like a mortgage or car payment.
I would if I SBRd it or wanted to put a longer barrel on it. Not everybody buys a gun then keeps it stock.
Dominic Howard
>tfw I know that you're a lying faggot and will talk about it willingly Lying faggot you are, cunt.
Austin Nelson
think what you want. idc i was just post what i was feeling
Angel Adams
>I would if... Yeah, you dont. Neither does anyone else. If people want another barrel length they just buy another upper, otherwise you're constantly rezeroing optics
