NATO creates a great battle rifle that will become the NATO standard rifle
infantry doesn't have a use for full power cartridges
>more recoil, especially full auto
>less capacity, run out fast shooting full auto
>greater range
>for people that spray, pray, and can't hit shit while the one guy in the entire squad who can shoot takes his time to line up a decent shot
intermediate calibers exist for a reason, and it's not defending your basement from niggers using a semi-auto.
>NATO Creates an assault rifle
>US insists on a full power cartridge
>NATO reluctantly reworks their Assault Rifle into a Battle Rifle
>US makes the M14 anyway
>The M14 gets it's shit pushed in the first time it's deployed in combat
>The US makes an Assault Rifle
>JUST
Yeah, and the cartridge Europe wanted to adopt was better than 5.56x45 as well...
The ar platform rifles were a compromise with the NATO 5.56 round compromise. The round and the rifles time is over. Testing has shown that 6.5-7mm bullets @130gr with a MV of near 3000fps are a superior choice for riflemen (infantry) in combat. The move has begun.
Basically, America does what America wants, and everyone else can either get onboard and deal with it or fuck right off and get a healthy dose of FREEDOM AND LIBERTY later on.
Yeah, but how many of your own tax dollars has the US sunk into being wrong?
Doesn't matter. California is paying for it.
...and I just realized this means Mexicans are paying for the wall after all.
That implies that they pay taxes. You should know better.
>FN FAL becomes obsolete
>one of the most ubiquitous firearms in the world
what did op mean by this
Yeah... Vietnam was the exact wrong place for a battle rifle.
Lettuce pickers work under the table, sure. But a lot of them get real jobs using stolen SSNs at companies that pretend to not know they're hiring illegals.
Who the fuck keeps bumping this shit from page 9? OP phoneposting?
Sorting the catalog by bump order is for plebs.
Yep. I sort by post count.
Nigger you are dumb as hell. The rifle that cucked the fal was the shitheap known as the m14. Dumbass.
The FAL became obsolete when the G3 entered service.
>thinking that the FAiL was good
>thinking that 5.56x45mm was bad
>thinking that the M14 was bad
How in the fuck are you breathing right now? Like, how can your mother afford your life support for 18 years?
Considering everyone dropped the FAiL as it was a long, heavy, and unreliable piece of shit, and the only reason it's loved is because some dudes rekt a bunch of niggers with it, simply because they couldn't get anything else because arms sanctions.
5.56x45mm was so good that both Russia and China made totally not copies of said round. M855 was a far superior round than M193, but due to Army retardation (which is a repeating meme) they decided to use a 14.5" fucking barrel for a round that was designed for 20" barreled weapons.
Considering that everyone who used a M14 in combat loved them and wanted to keep them, yet it became fashionable by armchair generals and wizkids (FUCK YOU McNamara) to shit on the Greatest Battle Implement 2.0. Combat is the true test of how good a weapon actually is, and the M16 failed.
AR-10s are a thing....
>Tilting block
What is this ww2? The FAL was good for it's time, but it was no match for the AR10 or AR15 as an infantry weapon. And it wasn't as cheap as the G3 which made it less popular.
>>The M14 gets it's shit pushed in the first time it's deployed in combat
What are you talking about? The M14 mainly served in Korea and it did very very well, FOR A BATTLE RIFLE. The main issue was that it was uncontrollable in full fun, and soldiers couldn't carry enough ammo to be effective. That said the M14 was shit.
>FAL was unreliable
>"everyone dropped the FAiL" Despite it being the second most popular battle rifle, after the G3
>Thinking the m14 was good
>So bad the US just threw them at anyone they where arming
Yea no.
>M14
>Korea
I'd delete this post if I were you.
>the M14 mainly served in Korea
Holy shit lmao
M14 did not serve in Korea, it entered service in 1959. It's a worst gun than i thought.
My bad.
This site is for people over 18
>Combat is the true test of how good a weapon actually is, and the M16 failed.
Except for the the fact that they worked out the kinks a few years in and proceeded to use it for the next 50+ years.
So you should leave.
280 was shit then and is shit now. get over it
>great battle rifle
>FAL
>great
>e cartridge Europe wanted to adopt was better than 5.56x45 as well...
no. .280 is garbage
