Are you getting one, Jow Forums? I'm on the fence.

BRN-180
Hopefully itd cute
I'll be getting one, Gotta have a folding stock on an ar 15(yes, I know its an ar 180), it's one of the only thing that's close to an
I'll be getting one for sure. More for novelty's sake than anything.
I'll get one if someone makes a LR300 reproduction stock.
*close to an lr300
fuck
You are my nigga.
Since they're doing so much retro stuff with NDS I'm holding out to see if they do one of these with their 180B lower.
Para tactical really dropped the ball when it came to that thing
dick confused
Holy shit, I remember reading about these guys in Guns and Ammo back in the day. I haven't thought about these guys in ages but I remember seeing one at a gun show back around '05 and I thought it was the coolest fucking thing.
Love it. I'll take one with an adjustable gas block and galil style charging handle pls.
*rubs hands* I'm gonna shill my department armorer so hard to get him to allow me to carry this on patrol. Been looking for a way to get a folding stock for a while.
Also they should make a bullpup lower. I don't get why they never made them for things like the MCX or ARAK-21. The upper/lower system, now lacking a buffer tube, means they're perfect candidates for a bullpup/non-bullpup swappable system.
Seems like that Bushmaster bullpup lower might work, with limited modifications even. It just occurred to me that we are basically discussing building an American made LA85A1 at this point.
I dig it and would love to buy one, but have been assaulting my wallet with gun purchases for the last couple months and need to back the fuck off.
That said I've been hoping for a (good) AR-18 upper for standard AR-15 lowers ever since Serbu announced his vaporware upper many years ago.
Hope they make an 11" one eventually
Hi, I'm a friend of Sarah Conner. I was told she was here. Can I see her please?
I got a folder on my ARAK you need an ace lower adapter.
>Reciprocating charging handle

TRASH
IT
GOES
Alan Zitta really dropped the ball not getting the design and engineering past prototype stage. He was laughed out of the firearms industry after desperately trying to get his problematic lr-300 a military contract. Only after he sold out whole thing to para they realized how much of a piece of shit it was and how much more work and engineering it needed before it would be a fully functioning competent platform.
I'll be getting one just to see how I can convert it to taking an AR15 barrel and how easily someone could make one with minimal machinery and tooling, because I've been trying to figure out how to fit an AR18 upper on an AR15 lower and Brownells bear me to the punch
What they have definitely has some serious fucking jank and they seriously should have looked to the SCAR to steal some of the few great things it does and everybody else has stolen
But in the context of being an AR18, it wouldn't be that anymore
Wk180c
have you looked at the robinson XCR?
>Look at all the brass fouling from empty cases being swing around the extractor to bash against the receiver.
Between that, the horrific trigger and the Pop tart socket on the receiver, I don't understand why people like these things other than their novelty value as Nonrestricted semis.
I'm in Europe
so we'll see if we'll get them
but if I can ? fuck yes
I want a short barreled version
I said a bullpup lower, not a folding stock.
The XCR has always seemed cool but it's a proprietary gun. The only piston AR I've ever been interested in is the AR18. Although I'm sad they didn't make it to have a full time sealed action (like the XCR has). Literally the only parts that look like an AR18 on the BRN is the ejection port and charging handle, and oddly enough those are the two things I don't like. They should have completely modernized the outside, and kept the inside 100% AR18. They came pretty damn close to perfect though.
One of these with the old aluminum folding stocks that Sig put on the MCX would look cool.
>wants bullpup ar180
>does not want a Tavor I guess
>non-reciprocating charging handle
No I don't want a POS kike tavor. If anything I'd get an AUG which is essentially the AR18 action.
I'm saying they're missing out on the potential to make a very modular system. Plenty of people want bullpups that also want original stoner designs (or close to them) and there's no way to do that with the AR15, but there is with the AR18.
Ok retard
It's an AR18... The charging handle is supposed to be that way, and it's the same position as an AK. Not like it's on the front where it could hit a window frame or something if you're sticking the barrel out, like on a SCAR.
They did say it was removable and that there would be aftermarket options. I'm interested to see if there might be a folding version or something.
Why can't we get AR-180 80% lowers?
I think I'm waiting for the inevitable SBR/pistol version.
I never before considered buying a piston upper until this... Very sexy.
I really want a short barrel one to re-create the Olympic Arms AR Pistol without the autism.
>Also they should make a bullpup lower.
>A bullpup AR-15 lower.
How's your 3D printing game? Because that's the only way to do it right now.
The AR-18/180 lowers were stamped metal monsters meant to be price competitive with the AK-47.
How in all the fuck do you even make an 80% stamped metal anything?
How are the original AR-180s? Guy on a board I'm on sold a Sterling for $1100 today. Almost bought it to go with my UZI NINE MILLIMETER but I was an hour too slow.
I think they should make a variant with less AR18 parts.
I want an FAL or AR-15 style charging handle and a better sealed port.
Still other than the charging handle it seems like literally just a better version of the sig MCX.
What folding stocks do yall reckon are good for this thing?
>How in all the fuck do you even make an 80% stamped metal anything?
80% AK receiver flats are a thing. You bend them yourself as part of the finishing process.
I don't know if anyone makes this already. But an adapter that screws into buffer tube threads on receiver and gives pic rail so you can mount Sig MPX stocks/braces would be neat.
Yeah I've seen one before.
The Sig stocks are so butt ugly though.
>can't even engineer a folding non reciprocating charging handle.
See how easy it is to spot the virgin AK fags?
I agree some are. I like this one though.
I bought an Arsenal AK pistol with pic rail for mounting stock. Put in for a stamp and getting one of these for it.
>adding complexity and parts for something that provides little to no benefit
no thanks
Speaking of AR-18s, I never understood. Why are they better than AR-15s and why were they never adopted by US gov?
They aren't better.
A dual guide rod return spring system is more complex and performs worse compared with a simple tube with a spring in it like the AR-15 has, but it allows a folding stock.
A short piston system creates more moving parts and more non-inline motion, but it prevents the main action parts from heating up as much as in an AR-15.
Also back when the AR18 was produced it was cheaper because stampings were cheap and forged aluminum was expensive.
Now the situation has reversed.
There's no way you can argue the AR18 is better than an AR-15, it's just different.
>too complex and expensive to afford a simple disengage.
You're AK fagging is showing again.
>adding complexity and parts for something that provides little to no benefit
YOU MEAN LIKE THE ENTIRE UPPER OF THE BRN-180.
THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS UPPER IS TO BE A LUXURY, IT'S WAS BUILT TO BE COMPLICATED AND EXPENSIVE SO YOU CAN HAVE A FOLDING STOCK YOU FUCKING RETARDED NO BRAIN CUNT. IF YOU WANT CHEAP, GET A FUCKING AK OR DON'T BUY THIS YOU POOR DICKLESS AUTISTIC FAGGOT SHITHEAD RETARDED NIGGER.
POOR FAGGOT RETARDS LIKE YOU NEED TO BE GASSED EXECUTED, MINCED, AND FED TO CATS
retards
thanks for the bump comrade
Am I the only one that's mad there isn't an 18" barrel version?
the idea of a pistol BRN-180 makes my iron the big iron
apparently its supposed to double as a brass deflector because if it were straight it would malfunction.
gross
